UPDATE: The office manager reached out to me within five minutes of me posting this, and let me know that the issue had been resolved shortly after I left yesterday. The issue had been shared with Dr. Goodglick, and he made sure that things were made right. That says something, both about him, and the staff that made him aware. I also really appreciated that Regina reached out to me personally and so quickly. Thus, I am updating my star rating from 3-5. I have gone back and forth about whether to leave the initial review up, but I am deciding that I would really like people to be able to see that the office is willing to work to make things right, in case anyone else has an issue in the future. :-) Overall I am very pleased with the services that were performed. BE AWARE IF YOU ARE SELF PAY!!! My experience with Dr. Goodglick was a good one, and if you have insurance coverage that they accept, I would highly recommend him. That being said, be aware that his office intake coordinator gives VERY misleading information about self pay prices. Before the appointment, I was quoted "$300-$500 depending on what tests he orders". When I got to the office, I paid $214 for the initial visit, and was told that rest would be due at the end of the visit after tests were ordered and performed. Imagine my surprise, when I was charged and addition $694!!! Then the intake coordinator said "I always quote $300-$500 could be less, could be more". Even if what she said was "could be more, could be less", which is not what she said to me (I took detailed notes when making the appointment) to have it be DOUBLE? An extra $100 maybe, but $500!!! If you are self-pay plan to spend at least $1000, due at time of service. Outstanding. Caring, smart, careful, respectful. Diagnosed a rare disorder for me and found me treatment. Very grateful.

I’ve seen Dr Goodglick for almost 2 years now. He is simply extraordinary, kind, and patient. His tech Zach is also highly professional and kind. Washington Eye Physicians is a superb group of people with stellar customer service.

Very unprofessional never had this experience He is an insult to medical community.

Dr. Goodglick is an excellent ophthalmologist specialized in orbital surgery and the nerves around the eye. He correctly diagnosed issues that others have missed. I was very lucky to take my daughter there for a second opinion and eye surgery.

Horrible

I honestly do not like this doctor. He keeps you waiting for such a longtime. I had an appointment recently which accounts for my second visit. Dr Goodglick makes you sit and wait, it’s also very hard to get an appointment right away. If you’re looking for a neuro-opthalmalogist then go see Dr Osborne at Georgetown.

I went in for a consultation regarding a problem with my lower eyelids after being referred by another doctor who had examined me. At no time was I advised that he did not accept Medicare or the amount I would be charged. During the consult, I advised him about my extreme eye dryness which can sometimes obstruct my vision and that I needed a procedure to correct my lower lids which should correct the dryness. He referred me to another doctor. Afterwards, I received an exhorbitant bill for $270.70. which was later adjusted to $120.70 after I made several calls to the billing office. I had been charged for a purely cosmetic consult. Caveat: Just be sure to confirm the amount you will be expected to pay before seeing this doctor.
