I see Dr. Perkins twice a year. He and the team on I Steet are always professional. The wait is short and Dr. Perkins gives you his full intention. I’ve gone here for decades even though it’s about 20 miles from my home.

I've been a patient for Dr. Perkins for years but on my most recent visit he told me to take off my mask because COVID-19 is over. After explaining to him I have a young child, family with compromised immune systems and myself having a chronic condition making me more likely due complications he proceeded to argue with me about it and dig in even more. He did my skin test (seemingly rushed) but didn't tell me if I checked out ok. While this was a very bizarre and unpleasant experience what was even more troubling is that I learned he did the same thing with my friend two months ago during the height of Delta! Time to find a new derm.

I made an appointment for IPL to my face. When the doctor came in he did a mole check and focused on a suspicious looking mole. He had it removed and sent for a biopsy that day. He told me that would be 7 days for results. I heard nothing from the office either way. Three weeks went by and I was on a family vacation in a remote area with poor cell coverage. I started receiving messages from the doctor that he needed to speak with me and could leave results on voicemail. He would not leave a number to reach him and told me he was calling from a 'blocked number', which is absolutely insane! This raised a red flag for me.... a doctor who made nearly impossible to reach! On top of poor communication, the costs ran over $1,100 with insurance (BCBS). I found everything about the experience very rushed, lacking in communication and left will a big bill that no one had the time to explain. I would not recommend.

Dr. Perkins is phenomenal! This was my first visit to him; and I was so worried about a skin condition that I had. Dr. Perkins immediately knew exactly what it was, explained that it was nothing serious (as I had been thinking!), explained how/why it occurs, and then, described the treatment for it (very simple and easy). Dr. Perkins was so incredibly reassuring -- and kind. I feel beyond-lucky that I "found" Dr. Perkins. Dr. Perkins is absolutely one of the best dermatologists in the entire DC/Virginia/Maryland area.

I have been a patient of Dr. Perkins for over 15 years. He is a professional's professional. He is never too busy to return a call, to answer a question. His staff is warm, inviting, and professional. You cannot go wrong with this practice.

I had a lesion surgically removed from my chest. It was painless and remains painless now seven hours after the procedure. I was back in my office in less than an hour including 30 minutes on the Metro.

Dr. Perkins is great. The front office staff leave a bit to be desired when it comes to their disposition and ability to wear face masks properly.

I get checked every year because my older brother had melanoma. I was happy to hear that, in general terms, I looked okay. I was also relieved that when Dr. Perkins found a very small growth on my face that was precancerous, he was able to treat it immediately.

I saw Dr. Perkins for a few years. He is pleasant, warm, and seems knowledgable--which is probably why I saw him for that long. However, he was not effective in treating the acne I had acquired (mild but persisting). I went to another dermatologist (only because my insurance changed and I couldn't see Dr. Perkins) and on the first try, her treatment restored my clear skin. Also, there was the visit when I had an infected follicle from an ingrown hair and when he punctured it, it left a scar (in a somewhat prominent area). I have had infected follicles before and other dermatologists were able to treat them without scarring. I wasn't too pleased with a new scar. So if you are considering him for either of these it is something to consider. But I do find him quite likable.

Dr. Perkins is the best. He has great bedside manner and makes sure all of my questions are always answered. Besides my annual mole checks, I have gone to Dr. Perkins for filler and help reducing the appearance of a scar on arm and old cystic acne scars from my jawline/cheek. I am blown away by my results. I honestly didn't think there was much that could be done to improve my scarring. The results have been life changing. I feel like I can wear sleeveless shirts again.

An extraordinary doctor, Dr. Perkins is extremely thorough and conscientious and kind.

Doctor Perkins was exemplary in his surgery to remove a basal cell carcinoma on my cheek. I feel very gratified to have him as my lifelong dermatologist. I am able to have frank and open discussions with him about my experience, a happening which is in my experience rare in the medical profession.

I have been going to Dr Perkins for close to a year for several skin conditions including the removal of a cancerous mole. He is intuitive, smart, & very easy & willing to discuss and explain questions and options. I never feel rushed when I am there. Most importantly, I trust him.

I've been going to see Todd Perkins for several years, now, and can honestly rate him as one of the best doctors I've been to. (FYI - I've just turned 69, so I've been to quite a number of doctors, in my lifetime.) He's been responsive to my medical needs - and has been open to my questions/concerns about any number of issues. He is definitely professional - but still sincere, concerned, etc. I've read, on some of these "review sites," that Dr. Perkins "rushes" through an exam. I've not found this to be the case at all. YES - he's not there to "chew the fat" and discuss world politics (or anything else) for hours on end... he DOES have a large number of people wanting/needing his time, so of course he can't sit & talk with any of us forever... BUT, he gives you his time, his ear, his expertise. And, I'm grateful for the time I DO get with him. Whenever I leave my appointment with Dr. Perkins, I feel like my needs have been taken care of. I can't hope for better.

Good but I EXPECTED Fabulous which it didn't happened with Dr. Perkins. I had an eye mole which he removed but it wasn't COMPLETELY removed after 10 days as he promised. I ended up going to see another Dr. since Dr. Perkins was WAY too busy with his schedule to accommodate me for a follow up visit. His next free time was 6 weeks out when I called but I didn't want to wait.

It was my first visit and Dr. Perkins took time to listen to my concerns and responded straight to the point. Very knowledgeable and attentive !
