He seems to have done okay with the hip surgery on my 85 year old mom but, they're is no communicating with him or his office. Good doctors communicate. Getting hold of anyone in his office is challenging. Talking to him is next to impossible. Today we were called in to an appointment early them waited over an hour before we had to leave because the had to get home. 1 star is being generous. Dr. Swenning has failed to live up to the stellar biography presented on his webpage. His follow up care after treatment is appalling because it is virtually non-existent. I had to complain to hospital administration before I was given an appointment to follow up for treatment he performed over 3 1/2 months ago. Then when finally seen, was advised that I would need a referral to yet another doctor, and the office staff continually failed to forward that referral, further delaying my care and ultimate healing. I've have a lot of surgeries and hospitalizations, both in the military and in civilian care, and by far- dealing with this surgeon and department staff has been the worst experience I've had. I would never seek new care here, nor recommend the doctor or office staff to anyone I cared about. 1 star is being generous. Absolute rockstar!

Hands down the best orthopedic surgeons in California! Kind, caring, compassionate and an incredibly talented surgeon.

I had a bad break of left femur in 2011 that Dr. Swenning repaired. He did a great job. He and his staff were great. In 2018 I am still doing great. Walking better than ever. No problems. I highly recommend him. Very kind and caring.

He took care of my leg after I had a motorcycle accident, which required 19 screws and 2 plates. He was friendly, easy to talk to, readily answered questions about the surgery and recovery. He even took care of a spider bite that I had. Liked him and his staff a lot.
