Update: Dr. Choi has been doing beautiful work on my teeth. I have had a root canal and several crowns done, along with fillings. The look and fit are excellent. The way he blended in the fillings at the gum line is really remarkable. I can't tell they are there! In the past, I have always disliked nova cane shots, but his technique is less painful than I've ever had. He uses advanced materials, equipment and imaging devices at fair and reasonable prices. I have much more work still needed, like an inplant and more crowns that I look forward to. As strange as it may sound,, I really enjoy my dental visits. His upbeat demeanor and humor give me another reason to smile. I am very grateful to have been referred to Dr. Choi, and very thankful for the work the good doctor and his staff have done. I was not sure he would even take me as a patient. Contrary to my fears, Dr. Choi showed both concern and comfort during my dental examination. He was concerned about why my teeth were in the condition they were in. He also gave me comfort that he could take care of all of my different problems. I let Dr. Choi know I was ready to commit to fixing my teeth and so we set upon a plan of action. Dr. Choi impressed me with his knowledge and all of his high tech equipment. Very clean polite efficient staff. Dr C is a very nice, gentle man. Dr. Choi is so friendly and is always asking how my family and I are doing during my visits. His patience with me and very much dislike for dental visits is beyond grateful. He has great humor and takes an interest in his patients and their well being.

Dr. Choi takes care of the teeth of my whole family. He does an excellent job. I had multiple problems with my teeth over the years. He discussed openly of all the options and detailed information so that I could make my own decision. So far I am happy with all the treatments he gave me.

Dr. Tony Choi is an excellent dentist. He and his staff are highly professional and personable. I appreciate the care and professionalism I get at the clinic. Dr. Tony Choi explains the procedures he recommends and leaves it for the patient to make a decision on the treatment. The office has also been very supportive in scheduling treatments to align with my medical insurance coverage.

Avoid this place. They lie, they overbill your insurance, over-bill the patient, and under-serve. He sounds like the friendliest old man, but his actions are completely opposite. All they care about is money. Billed my insurances for extra 10k and provided less service than agreed upon. I ask him why they over bill my insurance, they said don't Worry about it. I asked them then show me what service you've billed for, and they said no. So basically they know they're up-coding and over billing for services that never render and refuse to provide any info on why they're charging my insurance. I see their staff turnover rate is pretty high. Pretty much new faces everytime I visit. I guess they're smart enough to leave Dr. Choi and actually go to a place that helps people instead of robbing them. Avoid this place. This place is a scam! Very unfortunate to be unable to trust a dentist/healthcare provider in a beautiful town like Los Gatos. This place only cares about money, they don’t check your insurance, they try to pressure and convince people that their teeth are in bad shape, and they will, without your accept, do procedures you didn’t ask for and charge you for it. Be careful out there. Long story short, I went in for a regular annual check up at Tony Choi’s office. I had called them prior and given them my insurance information. During the entire appointment I felt overwhelmed and confused. Without telling me in advance, they cleaned my teeth and used the fancy X-ray machine - also, I’m 28 and my former dentists state that I have healthy teeth, but Tony Choi tried to convince me that I needed a crown and a night guard urgently and that it would be best if we start the process same day. I like to be able to trust doctors and I felt extremely pressured by the staff, so finally I did agree to pay $180 for a night guard, but explained I wanted to wait with the crown. Due to wisdom teeth extractions six months earlier, I had already met the limit for my insurance so now I had to pay out of pocket and I have been dealing with their invoice for 4 weeks now and they have been extremely rude over the phone - they have hung up on me, given me attitude and lied several times. Obviously, this place does not check your insurance before procedure and they ended up charging me $650+ for a regular annual check up. After spending pretty much all day trying to find a Dentist near Santa Cruz that is open every Sat and takes our Ins. and uses Nitrous. I found Dr.Tony Chol in Los Gatos. His receptionist was very sweet and welcoming and after meeting Dr, Chol I new I had finally found' My Dentist" He knew my fears & anxiety level were off the chart ,so to speak. He took the time to make me feel very relaxed knowing he will be doing procedures that we will use Nitrous, made me feel very comfortable. Without any pressure we talked about a plan for my work. I set up my next appt for 3 weeks. Knowing both my husband and I need expensive treatments we will have to go slowing to be able to afford the work I need. My husband may also change to him. I totally recommend Dr. Chol to anyone having fear of Dentists like myself, he was very compassionate and didn't make me feel embarrassed of my fears! Dr. Choi is honest and caring, not to mention that he is an excellent dentist. I "doctor shopped " and found him and have been a patient for over 10 years.

Dr. Tony Choi is my favorite dentist. He is very skillful, for example he succeeded making a tooth implant for me where I had a very thin bone. He centered the tooth implant perfectly, and also added more bone, so that it holds up. He gave me a bridge where there were almost no bones left, and it looks great. Dr. Tony Choi is my favorite dentist. He is very skillful, for example he succeeded making a tooth implant for me where I had a very thin bone. He centered the tooth implant perfectly, and also added more bone, so that it holds up. He also let me decide at two other teeth, where there was almost no bone left, if I wanted bones and tooth implants or a bridge. I finally decided for a bridge, and it looks great. Last but not least, he is a good character treating you in a loving way like a friend.

Very educational appointment & nice service.

I came to this office to do a bridge. I had no pain when I came in. After Mr. Choi prepped the bridge area on my tooth #2 and #4, I kept having deep pain. I have even more pain after he puts on the temporary bridge on. This Mr. Choi did not bother to see me to re-assess his work. I paid him $1350 because he told me that's how much my part is with my insurance. It turned out my part is only $748. He then changed the billing to keep all of my $1350 except for $23. I am just telling you my terrifying experience so you can maybe beware. With my pain he just said, "get a root canal". Basically he destroyed my teeth, caused me pain and wants me to go and pay more for root canal. I have waited many months before I write this review so that I can see the facts for what they are. I hope you will learn from my very painful lesson. I came to this office to do a bridge. I had no pain when I came in. I've been going to Dr. Choi's for about a year and really respect the doc, staff, and of course the services provided. They're willing to work with me on insurance and even discount me for products my insurance doesn't cover. Thanks for everything!

Great, friendly dentist! Everyone in Dr. Choi's office is always so nice and helpful. Easy to schedule appointments with and always is on time. Dr. Choi spends a great deal of time with each patient showing that he truly cares about your dental health.
