Dr. Toshiya Arciaga

Dr. Toshiya was very nice and professional. I really wasn't happy with the Idea of raising my prescription, but she explain to me that although my old glasses seemed good that my eyes could see better yet. She was right, however, I was having trouble with my eyes getting tired as though strained somehow. Then I noticed a difference. My left eye could see very sharp while my right was blurry. I went back in and explained that the disparity between the two lens' was affecting my vision. Dr. Toshiya verified her results, and during the test I noticed that if I looked out the right corner of the lens my sight was clear. The right side lens of my new glasses were somehow done wrong. Instead of taking them and repairing them, they tried adjusting them as if that would repair the actual lens. Then they stated that there was nothing that could be done. This coupled with the fact that they were safety glasses that didn't even have the side shields with them, they had to find shields and then bent up my glasses trying to fit them on, are the reason I find it was a mistake for me to have gone there. I ended up throwing out my $280.00 pair of glasses. Their of no use to me.

Awful experience with the receptionist. Appointment was for a recheck. Originally I was told that there would be a charge. However, 3 weeks ago I received a call (unfortunately I do not recall the young lady’s name) and was told that I can come back for the recheck and that it would be free of charge. Had I known that I would have this type of experience I would not have gone back. Very unhappy with the customer service received. I’ve been a faithful customer at this facility for quite some time but will no longer be using their service.

Staff was wonderful :) Very clean office and willing to help with getting me the best deal.

My goto specialist. Even though a currently live in North Carolina, I value the professionalism of the staff and services all around. Will be back for my next checkup.

No problem once I was finally seen. My appt was at 12:20, didn't see the Dr. until 12:55. A bit ridiculous!

It's been a few years since I was at this lens crafters for eye exam but I was very impressed. They still had all my records from back in 2016 that they were able to compare to today's exam. Dr.Toshiya was very good at explaining everything and answered all my questions. I was seen within 10 min of my appointment time in and out within half hour. My visit has exceeded all my expectations. From the front desk and waiting area to the visit itself and now this follow up. The scheduling process sas effortless (an on-line calendar with available options to cboose from) and the so standard paperwork was simplified down to 3 easy to fill out pages. Dr.Colasurdo could not be any more accommodating and respectful. Highly professional and knowledgeable, she conducted a very throrough exam in a nice and easy-going manner and answered all my questions. Went for my appointment this morning and was told that the doctor required the optomap and it would be $35 that insurance wouldn’t cover and you couldn’t wave the service. I walked out. There are lots of options in this area! Don’t get ripped off here!

What a scam! They recently introduced a $70 Contact Fitting Fee that is in addition to the price of the examination. My insurance did not cover it. I believe the Contacting Fitting occurred when the doctor asked me to put in the contacts that I already owned and walked in with and asked me how they feel. $70. I would avoid this doctor's office from now on so you don't have to pay an extra $70 every time you have an eye exam. What a scam! Dr. Arciaga was warm and friendly with a very calm demeanor. I felt that she fully addressed the issues I've been having with my glasses...this was a wonderful experience.

Very rude and inconsiderate staff. The doctor walked right past me when she went to call me back 45 minutes after my scheduled time. She said my name is a “man’s name”. Any time you call the office, nobody answers the phone. The receptionists talk about patients after they get off the phone with them. They’ve lost paperwork that was completed a day prior to the appointment and stated “the doctor probably has it” when it should’ve been scanned into the computer. They have been my optometrist for a decade. Dr. Aumoithe is great but the front office/administrative staff has gone down hill. Can't even get a callback for a follow up after my test contacts arrived. I was contacted a few hours prior to the appointment regarding insurance. I gave the person all the requested data. My insurance covers both the exam and prescription at 100%. Once we arrived, we were informed that the exam was no longer covered and they had to charge us since they bought a new exam machine. I have been coming to this office since we moved to Wesley Chapel FL in 2014.... I have ALWAYS had issues with my eyes since I was 3 yrs old.... 2 1/2 years ago, after having double vision for some time, intermittently, I went to visit your office and was fortunate to have an exceptional optometrist, Dr. Victoria Colasurdo, O.D. work with me. After doing a number of tests, including the use of a machine that gave her a great look at my eyes, without necessitating "dilation", she developed a prescription for your lab to put "Prizms" in my new lenses, which created awesome vision for me. Although Dr. Colasurdo said, "It may take 2 or 3 more visits to get this right because I have to do a little guesswork", she nailed it with the first visit. SHE GAVE ME A NEW LIFE. I could then drive at night and no longer had to worry about watching a TV with "Picture over Picture" (double vision), which is enough to scare you to death. Usually, I would get the normal double vision, for example, seeing four taillights instead of the two that were on the car in front of me. But watching a large TV and seeing the picture over the same picture made me get tested. I just went to her for another visit this week although I've had NO problem with my eyes for 2 1/2 years. This time I was pleased to hear her say I don't need to change my glasses. We were brought in for Victoria colasirdo for an exam with UHC insurance. The young kid at the desk insisted we pay $89 vs the co pay of $10. He did not like my insistence and called either his mom or dad to settle. I am happy to see kids with responsibility but mom and dad need to make sure their children can do the job. It was actually very disheartening to hear this kid tell his parents that he had a customer actually stand up and in his eyes must have done it before thinking this was bad. I would NOT recommend this Dr. I went for my yearly checkup last week. Everything was great and no issues other than it taking a long time. Now they are holding my prescription hostage until I go in for a follow up appointment. This is absurd. I've been wearing glasses and contacts for 25 years. I've seen Drs in multiple states and cities and this is the first time in my life I've had a Dr hold my prescription hostage until I book and come in for a follow up appointment to make sure the contacts fit properly. I've worn these contacts before for years! This is crazy. Now they want to waste more of my time and probably charge my insurance more money for a needless appointment. I am new to the Wesley Chapel area and needed an eye exam. I found Dr. Toshiya Arciaga & Associates and was very please with the professionalism of Dr Colasurdo and other staff members. My examination was very thorough and I learned a little bit more about the health of my eyes.

I saw Victoria for an eye exam. It had been about 2 years since my last appointment. I decided to go in because I had been having chronic headaches and I got a thumbs up from my GP. No sinus problems so eyes and teeth were my next stop. Turns out my eyes were not in as good a shape as they were on my last visit and I needed a new RX. Victoria is methodical and explains what's happening and why. I tend to think everything looks blurry without my glasses and she was very patient with me as we went back and forth with the eye charts. Turns out she needed to double my magnification. Amazingly thorough visit,I left there feeling everything that could have been checked definitely was.

Great overall experience. The exam was on time and the Dover was very knowledgeable. I will be coming back next year.

Dr.Calasurdo and her staff really kicked in providing a soda and care for his well being. I know we put them behind schedule while he recovered, but they made us feel very comfortable. Then continued with his exam. We have been going to Dr.Arciaga and Associates for five years and we highly recommend Dr. Arciaga & Associates. Don't want to forget the opticians. All staff were very friendly. They got us right in at our scheduled times. Doctors were extremely knowledgeable and great with the kids. This has been our greatest experience at an Eye Doctor’s office. Would definitely recommend to others.
