Tracy started off is a doctor with a lot of knowledge especially doting her affiliation with Stanford University. I found many of her tips valuable until I begin seeing unorthodox methods such as telling my 17 year old son know it was OK not to come home to his dad while in high school, after just losing his mother. I was having a few challenges with him as could be expected in any situation like this but instead of encouraging my son to do the right thing she thought it was OK for him to go to a place I did not know where, if it was safe, or for how long, but she gave him the approval. That was a red flag but continued to see her from time to time and encourage my son not to give up. He did voice concerns of her counsel but I did not listen. She was kind enough to respond to him after my pleas but when we really needed her most recently, for myself, she was alienated because I missed an appointment perhaps even 2 though she knew I was suffering after losing my wife and other family members and disoriented. Instead she sent me a text about my lack of commitment and not being sensitive to her time, she would not follow through since then even though I apoligized. She also complained about the text and having misspelled words. I saved all text. My son had just reached out to her to explain something was not right and asked for her to help me. Her most severe action was when I reached to her letting her know what I was going through and the unimaginable feelings and depression. This was 2 years after losing my wife to als.. I asked her to please call to help me get back on the right path perhaps with appointments any words of encouragement would have been helpful. She only tried to call once or perhaps twice and didn't understand that I was not functioning properly sleeping around-the-clock and not making sense. I called her over 20 times giving her the opportunity to answer. But again her response was she doesn't answer after hours or on weekends and save the text. I am sane enough to know that this is not what someone who is unstable needs. I fear if her patient was truly unstable, it would cause them to do damage to themselves or others. In her field I'm sure it was made clear in school to be aware that mental needs don't occur during business hours . I have always been pleasant with Tracy, thankful grateful but whatever has been transpiring with her practice or her in a last few months, is something that should stop her from practicing until she's able to regain the capabilities. She should recommend others for those patients such as myself in the mean time. But that did not happen and I know she was award of the severity of my condition. I now have to find a new psychologist but have someone close to the family who's gotten me through this episode and is helping me write these thoughts on her review. I do plan to call the bar and let them handle it since she will not call me because I have no other recourse and I think it's important they are aware a psychologist will only operate during business hours and regardless of the severity. I do not, and have never felt like some of those unfortunate people who commit horrific crimes school shootings, mass murders etc but can you imagine if I was that type of person and being ignored when help was needed to avoid a breakdown. It could be catastrophic and that is the basis of my complaint regarding Tracy and this cannot happen from anyone in this field. People in this field must understand they are as critical as a heart surgeon. These people have to call right away or check in or have a backup or partner answer their calls when away, as life is at stake. In the case of the psychiatrist or psychologist it may not be just their life at stake ,and time and time again we have seen this. By the way I was able to find out what the problem really was and grateful Tracy started off is a doctor with a lot of knowledge especially doting her affiliation with Stanford University. I never write reviews. Especially positive ones. But I'm going to take my time and actually write one that you need to see. Dr. Tracy Kuo is amazing! She is the most caring, understanding, intelligent and wise advisor/psychologist. And let me tell you I have met most of them! If you have a need or a mental health issue that seems insolvable, call Dr. Tracy. I am a very discriminating, resourceful CEO. I can afford the very best. And I can assure you she is the best bar none.
Terrible patient care. Promised to be available by phone or email but NEVER returns either. After two visits called it quits and moved on to a more professional Dr. Have left numerous messages and emails requesting super bill for insurance and have had no response. There are plenty of Dr.s around-choose someone else!!!
