Best medical care I've ever received...

Terrible Service - Dr. Desai's office is terrible with responding to any requests from insurance companies. They cancel appointments last minute and then reschedule 5 months later. I do not recommend.

Have only met with Dr. Desai once but was immediately impressed with her knowledge and "bedside manner". She explained things clearly and addressed all our concerns. We were pleased to have been referred to her.

I love Dr. Desai! I saw somebody else in the same office and they weren't stellar but when I came to Dr.Desai,at my first appointment she had already looked at my records and knew all about my whole illness and progress (I have a rare autoimmune illness.) She had a defined plan of action which we are walking out and I'm progressing very well. She has been a lifesaver for me. Can't sing her praises loud enough! I miss her in the Matthews office though but I followed her right back to the Charlotte location. I plan to stay with her for the long haul. I love Dr. Desai! Should be 1/2 star. She spends less than 5 minutes in the room with you. Plus she NEVER touches you. NO hand shake hello or NO pat on the shoulder with bad news.

First thing she did when I saw her in the office was to look at the list of other doctors that I have seen who couldn't help me and say that if these other doctors could not help me than what do you expect me to do for you? She refused to order any tests and was going to have me wait 4 to 6 weeks until she got the rest of my medical records before she decided what the medical plan was going to be. She stated that she thought my problem was a CONVERSION DISORDER. Can you believe that? She chalked up 6 years of physical problems that have cost me my job, my home, and going on disability to being in "my head." HOW INSULTING! Essentially, I was discriminated against for seeing a wide range of doctors. That is MY RIGHT! She based her opinion off of a lack of other doctors findings. Essentially, I am already dx with THORACIC OUTLET SYNDROME and MAJOR DEPRESSIVE DISORDER as a result from the CHRONIC PAIN AND PROGRESSIVE WEAKNESS that my Physical problems are causing me. I told her that I have to give up a large house and that I am now living in a one bedroom apartment on account of the difficulty I have living an every day life and that I have someone at home helping me with my day to day activities. She thinks she can look at me one time in an office , in a controlled setting, and be able to tell how well I can perform. You've got to be kidding me. PATIENTS SHOULD NOT BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST OR JUDGED BIASLY for continuing to seek medical treatment with various doctors if the doctors that have seen already are unable to provide answers.
