My experience at this office had always been pleasant and pretty swift. I can't say I have any complaints at this point after being seen for two visits. Overall, I like the office and service!

If I could rate this office any lower I would. I waited for 2 hours. When he came to look at my problem i told him i was in a lot of pain. He left to get me medicine and I waited again for a long period of time. Too long, I felt like I was forgotten. Worried about the parking situation and no longer having patience for this waiting around with no idea how long anything would be, I walked out the office. I'm lucky I did not get a parking ticket but I'm still peeved off and still in pain from a procedure I feel like was botched anyway. I'm never coming here again and don't reccomend anyone else to. I had an appointment for 2pm. I wasn't seen until 4pm. I have never waited 2 hours to be seen by a doctor. Staff are more professional than previously rated. Street parking wasn't available so I had to park in a lot. I thought I would only be 1 hour. Entire visit turned into 2.5 hours which turned into paying $35 for parking. Most patients had to keep running out to pay the meter. Dr Graves only accepts cash, possibly so he doesnt have to report his income to the IRS. It seems as though he's more concerned about the money than the patients. He was dressed in designer clothes and Hermès shoes. He just lost a patient. If the wait time was better I would have stayed. Waited 2 hours to be seen

There's isn't an option for ZERO STARS. The most INCOMPETENT, most rude, most UNPROFESSIONAL, laziest, HORRIFIC medical practices, unsanitary, medical staff, and office I've ever been to. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOUR TIME.

I always had a good experience going to Dr Graves office. His staff is friendly. I had skin tags removed and scar therapy. He helped my acne. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Graves removed a pimple that had become hard from my nose, and left a scar and indentation where the pimple had been. I don't know which is worse, the pimple or the scar. He always over books for appointments. Expect to wait up to 2 hours before you are waited on. My advice, stay away from this practice, very far away.

The incompetence of the staff, coupled with the delays and then the attitude you receive from Leslie Graves should be enough reason to consider another dermatologist. I had a procedure done and it was sloppy and irresponsible work (which I take blame for not researching this organization) and now that the cyst has come back I am trying to get a report from them. As of writing this review, I have called 3 times. The first time, Leslie Graves belittled me and acted as if I was inconveniencing her to request such a report, and now 2 calls later I still have nothing. They should be banned from practice and find another profession that does not involve customer service as they clearly do not how to talk to people. The wait time is ridiculous. The front office workers weren’t really friendly. No apologies when we left after waiting for almost an hour. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Had his staff take pictures and stayed away from me. Then tried to give me something for my mind, saying I’m crazy in a nice way. Yet I had blood work done and my Vitamin D was 60, which normal is 400-600. So it wasn’t in my head. He kept saying he would look at this or that, yet he didn’t. Then he said both appts that he was going to do a biopsy, yet nothing. He says a bunch leaves the room and never returns. I didn’t have a problem with Dr Graves or his office. My daughter has been going there for over a year now. We have only needed 3 appointments during that time. The wait wasn’t any longer than any other doctor’s office I go to. He was very professional, he educated us well on the condition of her skin (the best education we have gotten on it). He gave her great medications that worked very well for her skin. I’m more than happy with the services we have received. I think there may have been one time that one of the front counter girls were kind of rude, but it was only by the slightest and every one else I dealt with was nice. I have been going to Dr. Graves for at least 5 years and my mom has been going to see him over 15 years. He is an excellent dermatologist and I am VERY pleased with his service. Any good doctor that you see have long waiting times, so that doesn’t bother me at all. His great service is well worth the wait!

What a horrible experience. Was in the waiting room for 1 hour and 15 mins and still was not seen. I got so frustrated that I left before I was even seen and made sure I called my insurance company to let them know. Never again!

Extremely long wait times due to Dr. Graves not showing up on time. I had an 11:15 am appointment and was still not seen by 1pm. When I asked front desk staff how long the wait would be, they said they were unsure as Dr. Graves hadn't even shown up for work yet (he was scheduled to be in at 11am and they had not heard from him). I hate to write a negative review on anyone; (especially a black doctor) however, reviews do help people become informed about unfamiliar places, to help determine if they should patronize them or not. I truly believe this doctor knows all about skin care and needs, but his practice ethics are low, as well as, his staff. I had an appointment at 11:00 and was called into a room for service about 11:15, which is great. However, after sitting in the room for about an hour, I inquired about how much longer would the doctor be. The assistant advised me that the doctor had not even arrived yet and I still had at least 1 person ahead of me. At this point, I had to leave, but when I went to the front desk, the receptionist simply asked, "are you done" and when I explained the doctor isn't even here, she had no more to say. Not even asked did I want to reschedule or apologize on his behalf for the inconvenience. Prior to coming, I was instructed to get lab test (18 different types) and the results were sent to his office. I believe that's a grades is an efficient physician however the wait time is too long not to mention the parking hassles, and the front desk staff isn't exactly what I will call Professional.

I have absolutely no issues with Dr. Graves or his staff. I am very pleased with every visit so far since I've been coming to his office located in the Curtis building. My only issue is with my insurance company because my co pay is really high. I can understand why only cash is accepted for co pays...I mean people are so ignorant, they can get services and pay with a check or debit card, and easily stop payment or dispute those transactions. Then the practice is out of that money they deserve for services rendered. Dr. Graves is good at what he does which is why he is still in practice. If people aren't happy with him, they can easily go elsewhere. I take heed to reviews but ultimately it's my decision if I want to proceed and I'm glad I did. What he prescribed works wonders on my skin. But the office customer service is terrible. The people at the front desk are slightly rude and act as if they are doing you a favor. They ask for payment up front because they know you’ll leave after your forced to wait over an hour for the doctor. I’ve been a patient for over 2 years and never have had a positive experience. I’ve never had an appointment when he was in the room for more than 3 minutes with me. I only stayed because of the prescriptions And the pharmacy they recommend helps you to get then low cost but i plan to leave very soon. This is ridiculous. Do better.

Dr. Graves spent maybe 3 mins with me during my visit. That is simply not adequate. The level of care needs improvement as does the client service at check in/out.

I had been going to Dr. Graves for over 20 years to care for my skin before finally decided to end the journey. When I was a teenager and his office was at a different location I believe he valued his patients more & actually took the time to consult with them about their concerns. As time moved on and his location changed to downtown, wait times increased to over an hour sometimes almost 2 which is poor customer service & shows a true lack of care for your patients & their time. Most times I’d wait that long & not even get to see him. I would have to see a PAC then he got rid of them & had only medical assistants. He would take less than 5 minutes to visit with me & showed 0 interest. When I finally confronted him in a very respectful manner about the ridiculous wait times & lack of care & taking time to consult with me on my skin issue he was overly defensive & negative & even said very disrespectful & cruel things. As you can probably guess he never saw me again & is quite lucky my husband or father (my mother was also a patient of his) didn’t pay him a visit. Everyone is very professional, and nice. He is a EXCELLENT DERMATOLOGIST!!!!!

I've been coming to Dr. Graves, since I was 10 years old and he's my go to dermatologist whenever I have stubborn skin issues, and the products he prescribes actually work.

I have been a patient of Dr. Graves for many years and would encourage anyone who has a need to see a dermatologist to make an appointment with him. He is patient and takes the time to explain everything to you. I have also had several in office procedures done by Dr. Graves as well. He is a wonderful doctor.

I've never been a pessimistic person. I normally find a positive side to everything. I also understand that sometimes crap just happens, unintentionally. However, during my teenage yrs I've had my fair share of dermatologist, so I have others to compare this Dr to. He's horrible. He sits in a chair when he comes in the room as if he's high and mighty and too good to put on some gloves and do a proper assessment of your skin.leaves room for error with him prescribing incorrectly for skin type.NUT

Dr. Graves has an excellent bed-side manner. He leaves no stones unturned in determining your exact diagnosis. I'm well pleased with being his patient.

Graves Dermacare I have been a patient at Graves Dermacare, PC for a year and some months. I was thrilled to find a doctor in my building and was delighted to see it is an office of color. The office is high tech, with ipads and a patient portal on the site but the experience of an appointment is low touch and low care from my 5-6 appointment experience. Each visit with the Doctor or assistant lasts less than 10 minutes but the wait to see them is always 60 minutes or more with little to no concern for your time. You can hear the doctor’s conversations with other patients through the walls. The assistants/receptionists are less than helpful and never even crack a smile when they take my $60 cash only co-pay even though it seems like they have a pretty easy gig. I have been prescribed the same expensive face wash 4 times and each time I have to remind the doctor that the prescription is not covered by my insurance so he tries something new. We go through the same conversation every time and I often wonder what the ipad is for if not to take notes so I don’t have to repeat the same conversation for $60 and 60 minutes of my time. Sure, the Loudoun pharmacy does offer coupons for the wash and I was lucky enough that the last visit - Dr.Graves gifted me a large sample bottle, but I will never be able to afford a $200 face wash even though it appears to be working. I was also prescribed Rhofade which, with a coupon, would still cost me $75 - and was not told of an alternative. Not that I am not willing to pay a little something for skin that doesn’t flake off daily but I’d love to know if there are affordable alternatives. But I’d never know because patient follow up is not this offices strong suit. I called 2 times to let the doctor know, left a message both times and was never called back with a solution to my financial barriers to treatment. I’ve been using the facewash sample and the old prescription face cream that cost me $5 with my insurance in the meantime while I look for a new dermatologist. I went to the office today asking for a print out of my prescriptions and was told it would cost me $25 to see on paper what has been prescribed to me in the past. This should be a free service seeing as I pay $60 for a 60 minute appointment with only 5 minutes with the actual physician. Definitely not worth the hassle, headache and disrespect. Look elsewhere if you may. Dr Graves need to re-evaluate all who works for him and have them trained or replaced. It seemed to me, his top priority was to push name-brand meds on me that were not covered by my insurance. Good doctor, terrible wait time.

I have read all the reviews and they are horrible. My friend recommended me and, because of her, I am very excited to see this Dr at his practice. I know first hand, that first impressions are lasting impressions. I work at the front door of my company, customer service is priceless. The people you first greet can make or break your business. Clearly Dr Grave is well liked and exceptional at his craft, but the negative energy of staff that surrounds him will have people making decisions like I'm about to make. I will not have a first visit at this time. Maybe, my condition will eventually make me give in. My friend will be disappointed, she really likes the Dr himself. I had a very good consultation during my first visit. The office is open, clean and professional. (Could perhaps turn down the tv volume in waiting area). I was in and out in under an hour and felt satisfied that all of my concerns were addressed. Even as a new patient I had an appointment in under a week. My original dermatologist wouldn't even see me because my last appointment was too long ago and I would be considered a new patient and she wasn't accepting new patients. But turns out I like Dr. Graves even better. He's easy to talk to and his medical assistant will be there for me if I have questions or concerns that don't require an appointment. He is amazing... I loved everything about my experience. The reviews scared me but my someone that has been seeing him for years pushed me to go. I have been experiencing severe seasonal hair loss and after three weeks of his treatment I have seen a drastic improvement. My hair is growing, the pain in my scalp is gone! He explained my condition better than any other dermatologist I have been too and ran every test under the sun to see the cause of the condition. Seeing him for me Was life changing. Graves Dermacare I have been a patient at Graves Dermacare, PC for a year and some months. I was thrilled to find a doctor in my building and was delighted to see it is an office of color. The office is high tech, with ipads and a patient portal on the site but the experience of an appointment is low touch and low care from my 5-6 appointment experience. Horrible experience. Unprofessional and gossipy technician yelled at me to "open this door" when I was getting dressed. Almost an hour and a half wait time. I could hear the technician gossip that I refused to sign the pre-surgery form because I had just seen it for the first time. Left before even having a consultation. I do not recommend this place the office staff is rude and very disrespectful to the patients. I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a doctors office. I was having a problem with my insurance and instead of looking up my plan or calling to fix the problem they just told me I couldn't be seen unless i pay $250 for the visit. They did not try to help me at all and the two receptionists at the desk sat there and rolled their eyes at me while the office manager basically told me they were to busy to look into what was wrong with my insurance. The one who checked me in threw my insurance card and ID back at me when she was done copying it and both my cards fell on the floor and i had to pick them up. I can say that i have never been disrespected the way i have been disrespected at this office. Dr. Graves is a good doctor but i would never step back into this office i now go to Ringpfeil dermatology and i love it the staff actually treat you with care. Find another place to go because Graves Dermacare is terrible. Dr. Graves is phenomenal, my daughter struggled with a skin condition that no dermatologist could figure out how to treat, and he hit the nail right on the head with her fist visit. But his office staff especially the office manager Leslie, are the worst medical staff I have encountered, His office staff does not follow up with any concerns you call there office about. And they are rude and unaccommodating. There probably would be better treatment of a ''PAYING PATIENT" at a free clinic. He is an awesome Dr. but his office staff sucks. Dr. Graves has a thriving practice trust me and here in is the issue. My appointment was 3pm I arrive 15 mins early I did not get seen until 4:40pm. The front desk well consisted of Mrs. Graves who was a bit sarcastic as she insisted I was called with a conformation call which I did not receive AND indicated I was informed that copays must be cash. Dr. Graves is kind, establishes rapport and is VERY knowledgeable BUT the scheduling SUCKS! He overall knows his stuff but a new office manager NOW

After being seen he stated that I should try two treatment of the lazar treatment which my face wasn't that bad..... it was just the marks and he charge me $500.00 for it and it didn't do nothing the wife was like I don't see anything wrong with your face. They charge me anyway no peeling afterwards or nothing except my face burned like hell. When I called the office to see what they can do for me because there was know results they duck all my calls. This place is pathetic I wouldn't recommend
