Had a horrible experience with this office today; total waste of time and money. They do not answer phones, and do not return calls - should have been a sign this is not the place for me. Dr. Segu was demeaning in nature, and he spoke to me as if I was a child. He was not interested in symptoms or what I was experiencing, only prior labs. My records were not thoroughly reviewed before my appointment, though they required me have them sent. I ended up leaving the office in tears because of the way he was speaking to me. I went there looking for advice and insight as to the hormone problems I had been experiencing and I wanted to know if there was any commonality or explanation for what I was going through. Instead I was ridiculed and told that I would "pay the price someday" for medications that another doctor had prescribed me. Im just trying to feel better and looking for answers; this was an awful visit.

Feedback covers practice as much as Dr. Segu. NP does most of the work. NP is not covered by our insurance so all billing goes against the Doctor/Specialist - who I am not seeing. They have demanded I see them 3 times in 8 months - even though blood work is normal.

I am a 30+ yr therapeutic Optometrist licensed in TX and SD. My son has had one virtual visit with this Dr. Segu who then sent my son's diabetic supply prescriptions to our required third party supplier. My son had to cancel his last appointment to see Dr. Segu as he was out of state. Dr. Segu dismissed him, due to cancelling his appointment, and would not transfer his CURRENT prescriptions over to a new supplier that we have to now go to due to an insurance change. Withholding my son's life sustaining diabetic supplies due to having to cancel an appointment is so unethical from a provider standpoint that I can't comprehend it. My recommendation as a provider of over 30 yrs is to avoid this doctor and office at all cost. The concern should be for the patient getting the proper medical supplies to sustain their life, literally. Not unilaterally dismissing a patient due to cancelling an appointment and retaliating by withholding prescriptions. I am in disbelief, so unethical.

Dr. Segu is kind and very thorough. However, he is all about labs and not about the whole picture. This is unfortunate because bloodwork doesn't show everything. If he would take time to listen and offer advice other than "lose weight" he might be able to help people who are having a serious problem. Since his move to the new office his front staff have totally changed their demeanor. What once was a calm and happy place to visit has now become a sterile unwelcoming place. Not to mention major billing issues. Double billing my insurance company (on multiple occasions), charging different amounts each visit (though it was the same as the one before). I have begun looking for a different physician.

Through our insurance we could do self referrals to any provider Called the office and was informed that “we are closing in 15 minutes and that patients can’t self refer to this office “although our insurance approves it “ Telling the lady who answered the phone that I am a physician and my family member has a low T of 123 did not help either Disrespectful Unfriendly Would not refer my own patients to this office??

I find some of these reviews very hard to believe. If I could leave this office NO stars, I would. Dr Segu himself doesn't seem like a bad man. He is polite and cordial, but also very dismissive. I want to warn anyone considering this office to be prepared for billing errors in which their office manager will not correct. I also feel as if it's worth mentioning that every 6 months they seem to be moving office buildings :( Save yourself the struggle and just go with another provider.

Dr. Segu is the best diabetic, thyroid doctor there is. He discovered my thyroid growth when several doctors never did. He is very informing and caring. Answers all questions. Theresa

Dr. Segu is one of the most invested and compassionate doctors I’ve seen. He really listens and has the best bedside manner. Thorough and so intelligent.

( Best Dr and Office I have ever been to). Dr. Segu brought me back to great health in dealing with my difficult endocrinology issues. He is a very knowledgeable and caring professional man. I trust him in all ways. I must also say that Dr. Segu's entire office operates the best I have even visited. Everyone handles ALL facets of billing, testing, appointments, etc., with warmth and true caring. I give Dr. Segu and his office my highest recommendation to all who read this, as I have been seeing Medical Staff in the past 7 decades.

Dr. Segu is very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

I wish I could give him no stars but I had to click 1. Very unprofessional and uncompassionate. Belittled me and my children. Brushed off one of my health concerns. No manners at all! Will never return!!!

The staff communication skills are terrible, I am not sure that Dr. Segu knows what a lousy job his staff does. I received a statement from Dr. Segu’s office for $20, I paid that statement. I received another statement for $40, I called because it looked like I was overbilled. The person in the billing office hung up on me, I think she said her name is Murtintul (she does not speak English and I am not sure what she said even though I asked her several times).

Dr. Segu is a thoughtful doctor and so knowledgeable!

Dr Segu and his staff are always kind, friendly, and they don't keep you waiting. They have always been quick to return my calls and address my concerns. Dr Segu is thorough and patient and I never feel rushed.

Dr. Segu and staff have been extremely helpful in getting my thyroid under control and improving my overall health. I am feeling better than I have in years.

Very caring doctor that listens and takes patient concerns seriously. Highly recommend.

One of the best doctors I have had. Really takes the time to talk and listen. That being said sometimes the wait can be longer than some doctors.

Liked the experience both with the clinic and the doctor

I was happy with my family doctor, so when she referred and asked me to make an appointment with Dr. Sagu I was a little hesitant not thinking it was necessary. Well, I'm so glad that I made and kept that appointment. Dr. Sagu and his staff really care, they always explain my test results and want to know if I have any questions. If I have issues I'm given options with explanations of the treatment. I've always been greeted with smiles and listening ears, never rushed.

After being his patient for several years I find out on my last visit that he will no longer accept Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance in two weeks. Provided no assistance in finding another diabetes clinic. Sterling Hartman

Always explains things well.

Dr. Segu is very knowledgeable and caring. He is patient and really listens but most importantly he sends his notes to your other doctors to help coordinate your care. I haven’t found another doctor so thorough.

I have ben seeing Dr. Segu for almost three years and I am extremely pleased with the service that he and his staff provide. I am brought into the exam room at my appointed time and the exam and all explanations are thoroughly discussed.

Dr Segu is one of the best doctors I've ever met. He's very thorough with his diagnosis and treatment plan. He listens well and answers all your questions and is never in a rush. He's very detail oriented and communicates so well. He's one of those doctors who goes above and beyond in giving you the best care. The office staff is also very responsive and I've never had a problem scheduling my appointments or for prescription refills. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Segu and his office!

Today was my second visit with Dr. Segu and his staff and again I am so happy I found this awesome group!! I learn something new every time I go. Diabetes is a maze to me and Dr. Segu patiently answers all my questions and responds with information that is understandable. I have to say diabetes sucks but having Dr. Segu at my side makes it bearable. Thank you!!

If you want a doctor who doesn't care about you at all, this is your guy. Dumps you on the nurse practitioner every chance. Will drop you as a client without giving you notice for weeks (regardless of no show being due to the death of your mother-which they bill you a no-show for) and despite a kind letter stating they will help you with any needs while searching for a new endocrinologist, they'll refuse to refill your medications or return your calls. I wouldn't recommend to my worst of enemies

Have seen Dr Segu for a few years. He's very knowledgeable and takes time with me. I never feel rushed. Office staff is awesome to work with. If you call to ask a question, you will actually get someone on the phone and not a recording. If they need to consult with the Doctor they will let you know when to expect a call back and they honor that, which is very important to me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Segu's in March for one year. I came in with multiple concerns and needs. He is quite thorough when diagnosing and communicates well your treatment plan. I have lost 40 lbs. by eating healthy, taking vitamin D and E. I now have my blood pressure under control, and am improving my A1C. I trust Dr. Segu, he is professional, caring and knowledgeable. His staff is friendly, and helpful. It is easy to reschedule appointments. I never have a long wait time.

Dr. Segu is amazing and I would be lost without him. He cares about my health and always makes me feel confident in our treatment plan!

Dr Segu was kindly and thorough. He explained things nicely in an easy to understand way and was encouraging. I felt confident in his expertise. He entertained questions without annoyance. He was very gentle in his exam. I am thankful for having found him. He is in a solo practice if that matters to anyone.

When I was going through a CT scan for another procedure, radiologist saw a thyroid nodule and recommended me to see endocrine specialist. I decided to go and Venkatesh Segu. My first appointment impression was good and paid $75 co-payment. He recommended for a ultrasound. As any human you are always anxious to know the result of the any test result. He said he will call me after he gets the result. Instead of him, his front desk called me on Friday afternoon and offered a follow up appointment
