I have known Dr. Romano for many years and have the greatest trust in his extensive orthopedic knowledge, experience, and genuine concern for the well being of people. This facility is Top notch front the secretaries at the front desk through the nurses and X-ray technicians . I have been treated by Dr Romano and Dr Brindiseover the last couple of years .my recommendation comes from me being a retired 64 year old Registered Nurse in Pediatric Trauma , Labor and Delivery Home Health ventilator patients . From my years of experience ; Drs Romano and Dr Brindise are in my lab coat pockets are some of the best!!!

Everyone very polite, (But, we waited a long time.) Someone brought us a cup of fruit each, very nice. Dr. Romano ordered some additional tests to ensure everything is OK.

Thoroughly enjoyed meeting and being examined by Dr Romano

I had a great experience during my follow-up visit. The office contacted me to remind and confirm visit, called ahead of time to inquire if insurance information was the same saving me time at my visit, and had a very brief waiting time to see Dr. Romano. The staff is friendly as well. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Romano. He is warm, really knowledgeable, and encouraging. He listens, explains clearly, and offers additional health guidance as needed.

Been coming to Rocky for years for numerous sport injuries. As always he is attentive to my concerns and gives it to me straight. This time was no different. We came up with a plan for my ailment and I feel confident Rocky will take care of me.

Dr Romano is the most knowledgeable and skilled orthopedic surgeon I have ever seen. Being a surgeon myself, I know what to look for!

My visit with Dr. Romano is always very thorough. He is professional, caring and also down to earth. He shares experiences that may be relatable to what you’re going through, which makes you feel more at ease. His staff is very thorough as well trying to do their very best for you and they make you feel like you’re someone special when you come there.

Felt the exam was very thorough investigating my hip pain. Went beyond simply looking at xrays to determine problem.

Always professional. Good basic exam. Friendly staff. MRI return calls were to an incorrect number that I had asked to be changed but wasn’t. Called Romano’s team and within 1 minute it was resolved! I recommend this Dr and his team 100%

The doctor is a rock star, and makes my elderly, anxious parents feel comfortable and heard. The staff, however, was completely unwilling to help us when we faced a weather related emergency. The medicar that was supposed to pick us up was three hours away, in a snow storm. The staff had no numbers for other transportation, was unwilling to help us move the patient from the wheelchair into my car, and ultimately kicked us out of the office so they could go home, leaving us waiting in the building lobby. Dr. Romano and his staff are excellent. After 3 yrs of bad back pain and deciding to change Doctor, I was referred to Dr. Romano and he knew what the problem with my back was and sent me to therapy to correct it. Now I have almost no pain and wish I could have found him 3 yrs ago. His whole department has my thumbs up. Keep up the good work.

Dr. Romano did some strength tests and asked how I felt. I told him I never had any pain in the left shoulder since the surgery. Told him I appreciated his physical therpists and the therapy they gave me. All my appointments have been very pleasant .

Very efficient operation. Dr. Ramano always looks so professional which makes you feel confident. I have recommended friends to him. I know he did a knee surgery on one of them. I appreciate the fact that he finds various solutions to a problem and knows that surgery is not always the answer, only if you there is no other alternative.

Nice facility, with super nice receptionist. Didn't have to wait long to see the doctor. Dr real nice, explained every step as he went along. Looking forward to future visits.

I was so impressed with ALL of the staff at the office. Everyone was kind, helpful, and informative. What I liked best about Dr. Romano was he thinks outside of the box. He looks beyond the orthopedic issue and looks at the body as a whole.

I have found this doctor to be extremely knowledgeable with orthopedic conditions. I know I will be in good hands with him going forward.

Performed a patella re attachment surgery on me when I was 12. Got injured in a soccer game in Rockford. Made a housecall to my parents house in Chicago later that same day. I was in surgery the next morning. The knee I had surgery on is super solid. No issues at all 20 years later. Dr. Romano is top notch.

Dr. Romano is great, not only as an orthopaedisti but as a human being. He always takes the time to chat a little and make patients feel at ease. My son fell while doing parkour and dislocated his finger and broke his hand. He was in a lot of pain and they were able to squeeze him in right away. From the moment we arrived for the initial visit and including all follow up visits, our experience was very pleasant. All staff from the front desk, xray tech, medical assistants, office manager to Dr. Romano were friendly, informative and understanding. Their office runs very smoothly and efficiently. We never waited more than a couple minutes to see each staff member or the doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Romano’s office for your orthopedic needs. Dr. Romano’s office is always prompt with follow up calls and scheduling, they are friendly at check in and throughout the process and Dr. Romano himself is efficient and patient. I’ve taken my grandmother to their offices for cortisone shots in her knees and X-rays and have always had great experiences.

Got an early morning appointment and was seen quickly and off to work on time. Everyone on Dr. Romano's healthcare team was friendly and attentive. Dr. Romano was thorough in his exam and explained his findings and treatment plan clearly. I felt valued and cared for as a patient. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Romano did a great job with my actual surgery and he is kind and attentive during appointments. If Dr.Romano had a better support staff he would totally earn a 5-star review. Unfortunately, I had a lot of bad experiences with his office in general. For example, I was once trying to schedule an appointment with a front agent and she was staring at her apple watch going through her texts for our entire conversation. There was an overall lack of communication between the office and myself- they were not transparent with scheduling, didn't give me clear pre, and post-op instructions, and they did not give my physical therapist any information for rehab.

Dr Romano had great beside manners and he does take the time to listen to your issues.The staff is very nice and gives you a lot of attention.They check on you to make sure you are waiting long for the doctor.

I waited 45 mins after my appointment time to be seen. Ridiculous to have to wait that long to be seen!

Unlike other orthos I know, he focuses on prevention and education and works with innovative treatments and interventions that accelerate healing. I have referred several friends, clients, and family members who say they love his friendly personable nature, talented staff, and receiving better than expected results. He missed diagnosing a defective prosthesis. No you did NOT respond to my numerous calls, your PA's did. You did not do the CT scan that was recommended in June 2017 (finally done March 2018) by consultant you sent me to. I suffered for over a yr. w/ pain. I even told you I felt the prosthesis mobile in my leg. The prosthesis be-bonded & when revision was done, a surgical clip was found in my leg. I was really excited to find a doctor with high ratings on Google but was extremely disappointed when I tried to schedule an appointment. I submitted an appointment request online and no one called me back. On the third day I called and left them a voicemail and submitted another appointment request online. Two days later their office called back and scheduled an appointment for me then transferred me over to confirm my insurance. They got all my insurance information and told me that my visit charge would be over $150 I told them that my specialist copay is $75 and I don't have any deductible or additional charges for Xrays so I shouldn't have to pay more than $75 but they were insistent that this is "their" office policy not the insurance. I broke my wrist in January and was referred here from a Doctor who is a friend of my family Dr. Maria Romano Mcgann took me in immediately . I had complete confidence in her prognosis in which she ultimately performed surgery Putting 11 pins and a plate In my wrist. I went to physical therapy through Her practice . My wrist feels almost as good as new. Two weeks ago I fell at work and broke my knee on Mothers Day. I saw Dr. Maria My go to Dr now... the very next day . Sure enough my knee was broken . Dr. Romano and his physical therapy staff are truly a blessing. I am a 4 year collegiate soccer player and the amount of trust and comfort for Dr. Romano is tremendous when I have an injury. I have been cared for in three different occasions with all being different injuries and I was able to fully recover and get back to playing soccer. Without him I would not think I would be lucky enough to keep playing. He goes above and beyond to help his patients and currently, even though I’m out of state for college, I will only come back to be treated by him. Not only have I been cared from him but my family members have as well. We all are very blessed to have found a Doctor that truly is passionate, caring and intelligent about his specialty. As far as physical therapy, they are also a huge impact in my ability to get back to competing. All the therapists and the doctor of physical therapy whom took care of me are really knowledgeable and worked with me in a month and a half to get back to Soccer after receiving a knee surgery and a fasciectomy. (Both injuires happened within a year apart) After this review I still feel like I am coming out too short for the excellent experience I have with this great staff. Excellent Physical Therapy staff! Doctor Romano is a caring, compassionate and trustworthy doctor. I have been cared for in 3 different occasions for sport injuries and he has been able to successfully keep me competing with a full recovery. He truly can be trusted with any orthopedic injury. My family and I will definitely keep him as our physician for orthopedic care.

Dr. Romano has been my orthopedic doctor for 23 years. He is positive, compassionate and extremely talented. On August 10th, 2018 after exhausting all the alternatives, he performed a complete right knee replacement. Immediately after waking up in recovery, I felt better. Rehab is a big part of recovery, but Dr. Romano did an amazing job. His staff including Morgan Crandall, PA, Jessica (his surgical coordinator) and all the folks there are amazing and helpful. They are the best.
