Dr.Casey and club foot. I am concerned about the ethics of her practice. I felt emotionally drained after every visit. In sum, I wouldn’t even take my dog to her. My son was born with bilateral club feet in DEC 2020 and a raise shoulder blade; that she both misdiagnosed. I decided to go to Duke Hospital for my son treatment which they are doing an freaking amazing job with my him. Overall, My son is doing amazing all his orthopedic things after leaving her services. I felt as my son was too complex for her, I felt like she knew but didn’t speak up about it. PLEASE FOLLOW YOUR GUT. she told me in July of 2021 she wanted to surgery on him in DECEMBER of 2021. That’s very strange because my son would’ve been so far behind if I keep coming to her. At duke; not only did they do a surgery in September on the same year. They made things to help his improve by their only hands for my son, for his arm. I’m pleased to say my son shoulder is unbelievable better. Here’s some things that went wrong: 1.Duke did the same surgery but in the er while he was put under, she did the same surgery TWICE while my 4-5 month year old son was AWAKE. Not only my son was awake she told me to leave the room once. She would tell us that the anesthesia would hurt him. She’s very confused. 2. They did the surgery in September not December, my son now has afo brace and learning to walk. He is doing so great; my son has no mental and physical there. 3. She was extremely rude to our physical therapy who is a popular pt in the area; she works with MANY of Dr.Casey patients. Such a ugly and cheap look for her. Our pt ask to speak to her on the phone during the appointment because she wanted to come up with a plan with Dr.Casey because she kept placing my son in cast after cast and after cast for MONTHS. Our pt who has 30+ year of experience, felt like casting wasn’t the right option. She was very short with her, she answered the phone like “ what do you want? and told her since my son isn’t walking she will not put him in afo. Dr.Casey how can my son walk with HARD and HEAVY cast on. She obviously wasn’t thinking logically. Now, Duke works with our physical therapy as a team. My son has came so far because of this. 4. She told me my son was too young for treatment for some things like his shoulders. Obviously, he isn’t . There were no effort there, she was only looking at him feet. My son needed a doctor to look at him as a whole, be respectful and not silly Dr.Casey and club foot. I am concerned about the ethics of her practice. I felt emotionally drained after every visit. Great awesome.

Dr. Casey was thorough, thoughtful, and compassionate. She took her time fielding my concerns and questions. I left the appointment feeling significantly more confident in the care for my son's treatment of clubfoot. I really appreciate her!

The service was great and I loved Dr. Casey. She was very kind and really sweet with my baby boy.

We did not have a good experience with this office and doctor. I came in for persistent torticollis with my daughter and Xrays were done. I was told she was “to young” to really tell but they looked concerning. I was told to come back in 6 more months for more xrays. I trusted the specialist, so I waited and went back when I was told. They did more X-rays, and was STILL told they couldn’t call it. I was told to wait 6 MORE months again. I feel like her care was not taken seriously. I went to Shriners for a second opinion because I felt uneasy about her care at this place. THANK GOD I DID. She has two fused vertebrae’s and her specialist there sent us for an MRI. She also very possibly has scoliosis. We found out on the MRI she has a tethered spinal cord and it is very possibly causing the leg and feet issues she wears braces on them for. She just had surgery to release her spinal cord. I am glad I trusted my gut and not this office or doctors. We did not have a good experience with this office and doctor. My experience with dr. Casey was amazing from the beginning my daughter was in a terrible accident and had broken both legs and her left arm and within 4 months she's back to her hyperactive self. I would like to say a big time thank you to Dr. Casey and everyone at orthocarolina.

Son has been seeing Dr. Casey for past 2 yrs. She has completed & corrected 2 leg surgeries in the past 2 summers. Now my son can walk straight pointing both feet forward. She's the best & our Pediatric Surgeon we recommend.

Dr. Casey is amazing! She talked with my 9yo and made her a part of the decision making process. The medical staff that applied her casts were fantastic. The talked about books and movies and terrible dad jokes. So glad we ended up here.

My daughter has been going to Dr. Casey for about 8 years now. She is an awesome doctor. Dr. Casey is the 1st Dr to actually take the time to listen to me as well as my daughter and get her either the help she needs or pointed in the right direction. It means a lot to have a doctor to listen to you instead of them jumping the gun and diagnosing her with something she don't even have. My daughter is supposed to transition out of her office now because of her age and after talking with Dr. Casey she decided to keep Carla another year and Lord knows the took a big burden off of me. We are very nervous about having to get a new dr due to Carlas disease and Dr. Casey relieved me of my nervousness. I would recommend Dr. Casey to anyone that has to have special care because she is the BEST DR. I HAVE EVER CAME ACROSS. SHE DESERVES A RAISE AND A SPECIAL BONUS.

Virginia Casey is a great doctor. She was very helpful and informative in regards to my 5 year olds arm. She also did a amazing job fixing his arm.

Our daughter was on the ballfield, helping coach when she went to get a ball, stepped to throw back and her left tibia snapped. We met Dr Casey at Levines Children hospital where she was more than welcoming! We were 2 hours from home and found ourselves having to make decisions and trust doctors we had never met! We can't say enough good things about Dr. Casey. We trust her 100% with our 2 boys and their extensive surgeries. Our family is forever grateful for Dr. Casey! She's like a family member to us! We just love her!

Dr Casey was great! She provided a new way to swaddle my son and she made he and myself feel very comfortable. Her staff is very pleasant as well.

Dr. Casey and her staff were wonderful. She took time to answer all our questions, gave us a thorough explanations, and set our expectations for our daughters plan of care from the initial visit. Surgery scheduling was a little difficult, but that was related to the timing of the surgeries (toward the end of the year when OR time is booked up), and my own desire to stay within a particular hospital system, and had nothing to do with office itself. Dr Casey and her yard are wonderful and caring. However they need to hire a new worker for the frost desk, and she was quite rude and made the visit very unpleasant !

Dr Casey sees both of my boys, one of whom is very complicated. She takes the time to get the opinions of other drs and discusses all options with us. She includes our son in the conversation which means a lot. We love her!!

Dr. Casey sees my daughter die hip dysplasia that she was born with. We were in shock whne they put her in a harness. Dr. Casey took the time to explain it to us. She then had her nurse call to ensure we understood it all and asked if we had questions the next day. I was scared to put on the harness but the nurse made me do it on the phone with her. Dr. Casey spends a long time with you to ensure you understand and fully answers every question! I wish all doctors were this way!

Dr. Casey was patient and very sympathetic to our needs. My daughter has been in chronic pain for almost three years. She took the time to explain her issue in layman’s terms and didn’t dismiss her feelings. I wish we met her 3 years ago. Thank you Dr. Casey!

Dr. Casey was polite , pleasant and personable. She took the time to explain X-ray results and care plan. She took the time to speak to my son who was the patient. I appreciated that because sometimes providers in pediatrics will just treat the children and forget to talk to them which can help ease there fears.

We have been seeing Dr Casey for 10 years and I couldn't be more pleased. My son has Perthes and is doing great because of her care.

I have had previous surgeries to correct my knock knees and ankles with a different surgeon. My legs then began to bow the opposite way, so the plates and screws in my knees had to be removed. Unfortunately, about a year later my knees returned to the previous knocked knee position. I have a rare condition called EDS that created this reaction. That's when I decided to go see Dr. Casey. She took all the right measures during my surgery to prevent this from happening yet again.It was no suprise after the first appointment we knew what had to be done. There was a minimal wait time between appointment and surgery. Dr.Casey made me feel as confindent and optimistic about surgery as I have ever been. I recovered while fighting off RSD after the surgery. Dr.Casey was absolutely amazing with understanding and believing what I was going through. With her help a couple weeks later my RSD was healed, which can take up to years. I am about to under go yet another surgery removing my plates and screws. I have faith in Dr. Casey that this will be a smooth and easy surgery. I love how understanding, cooperative, and personable Dr.Casey is. Dr Casey is an excellent doctor. She takes the time to explain things to my autistic son and answers his questions. She is also concerned about his overall health picture in addition to his ortho health. She is kind and it is obvious that she cares deeply about her parents.

Dr. Casey was incredible! She is wonderful with children and did so well with my 3 year old daughter. Dr. Casey put her at ease and even examined her while she watched her iPad. Dr. Casey explained everything thoroughly in a way we could understand. She was very clear about how to implement the treatment plan at home and even wrote it down to share with my daughter's father, upon my request. Her bedside manner was great. I am so happy we were referred to Dr. Casey!

As the mother of five children and two extra, “a super special situation since December of 2017” Orthocarolina has proven time and time again how true, sincere health care is provided. The staff continues to provide calm assuring care, Time and time again for me and my family. Dr. Casey did not disappoint, she was very careful And respectful to the position/situation of the patient.

Dr. Casey was awesome. Very friendly... I arrived 20 minutes late unfortunately due to getting lost and caught in traffic but she still was able to see my daughter... we waited for only a couple of minutes... they were very thorough about getting to the root of the problem. Staff was very friendly shining beautiful smiles. Everyone was personable and very sweet to my girls and I. I highly recommend this office!! I absolutely loved the experience.
