He told my 15 year old daughter with a history of anxiety/depression/ptsd that she will never get better with any psychiatrist or psych np. He never did an e soon her. The whole appt was 15 min long. He completely ignored what we said. He kept interrupting us when we were answering his questions like he wasn't really interested in the answers, he didn't answer my questions even when I asked him multiple times. Now she has completely given up trying and hoping anymore since she's "not helpable". His license should be revoked. Made my daughters depression and anxiety even worse. He prescribed a med and said her insurance probably won't cover it and refuses to tell me what kind of med it was when I asked him 3x's!!!

The worst experience every time. Do not go here. Find someone else. The Doctor does NOT care about anyone, they should revoke his license.

Please do yourself a favor and work with another doctor. You deserve better. My wife and I were both patients of Rudoy. It’s a strange place to say the least. Rudoy’s intake takes five minutes, and subsequent meetings will be shorter. If you’re lucky, he’ll look up at you from his desk! Mistakes are frequent here. Like, pretty big mistakes. Messages never get passed along. Teletherapy an hour late, and there is absolutely no apology, even after I call to ask, “are we still on?” Rudoy will change his “rules” frequently. Once a front desk worker whispered to me, “I know, I know… he does this kind of stuff. You’re not the first patient I’ve had this conversation with…” Nothing is ever their fault. When they correct their mistakes, they’ll make it seem like they’re doing you a huge favor. Not an ounce of empathy from anyone here. It’s a drug pushing operation. Just get everyone in and out as fast as possible. Come on, it’s New York City. Find a doctor that actually cares. You deserve better than a circus. AWFUL. THIS IS A MONEY MAKING PLACE. THE 1st PSYCHIATRIST I HAD WAS A LOVELY MAN, BUT DIDN’T HAVE THE RESOURCES TO HELP ME GIVEN THAT MY PROBLEMS WARRANTED SEEING SOMEONE IN PERSON IN LIEU OF ON LINE, WHICH IS FINE, AND I HAPPEN TO AGREE WITH HIM. PSYCHIATRY IS MUCH MORE COMPLICATED THAN GETTING A BRIEF ASSESSMENT AND INFORMATION THEY ASCERTAIN IN SCHOOL. BUT, THE 2nd DR WAS A NICE MAN, BUT THIS WHOLE FACILITY IS AWFUL. QUICK AND PRESCRIBE MEDS. AND GIVEN THAT THEY HAVE SO MANY CLIENTS, AND PEOPLE WORKING FOR THEM, THERE WAS SO MUCH MISCOMMUNICATION BECAUSE THERE’S SO MUCH GOING ON. THIS OFFICE IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORET ESTABLISHMENT I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. By all means, do not work with this office. I’ve been visiting this office for a couple of years now and things are getting to the point where I cannot visit them anymore. I have experienced an issue with very single month for the past year with my appointments. This most recent time, the doctor forgot to send in the prescription to the pharmacy. The phone calls with the doctors last about 15 seconds and are not thorough in the slightest. There have been times when I’ve been waiting for my appointment to start for over an hour. The doctors are always late, the receptionists are very rude, I have never had a good experience here EVER. Please do not use them. They do not care about the well-being of their patients. Dr. Rudoy himself is fine. Very clinical but professional. Christine Chollak is who I typically see and she's good. She's lovely all around. BUT the front desk people are probably some of the rudest staff I've ever encountered both in-person and over the phone. When you're there in-person they act like they're doing you some sort of favor. They're cold, rude and pretty unpleasant. And if you're trying to do something over the phone FORGET ABOUT IT. They pick up the phone and immediately put you on hold. And clear your schedules because you are going to be on hold for about 10-15 mins - without an apology and with a ton of attitude once they get on the phone. Dr. Rudoy himself is fine. Dr. Rudoy is fine. Like Czrina said below the Staff is horrible, uneducated, rude beyond belief. Especially this one young girl who answers the phone then puts you on hold for 15 minutes. They have double billed me before and canceled or miss scheduled appointments. There is no concern for the patients in terms of scheduling for medication that is needed regularly. They treat it as if it is an optional appointment like a hair cut or manicure. I am not sure why he can't hire some professional staff. There are perfectly nice women who would politely answer the phones, correctly bill, and not cop an attitude. We aren't calling the DMV it is a Doctors office. BE POLITE. Dr. Rudoy is fine. Dr. Rudolph was good to me, it's his office staff with me. One minute you don't have my card on file but yet you billed me for 4 visit. SMHD They DON'T keep you informed.

I dont understand all these haters. Dr rudoy is a professional man. Hes polite and caring. Staff is friendly and helpful. Wait time is great. No more than 20 minutes. I'm recommending 3 of my friends. Great job dr rudoy. Lydia Guzman

My doctor is amazing. I have worked with him for years and the staff, office and everything is just great. He is very caring, attentive and dedicated. As long as I am in need of care, I will not have anyone else.

This man should not be practicing medicine. Would refuse to give me refills if I did not see him exactly every 30 days, several times putting me into withdrawals from my mood stabilizers and without my sleep medication for my insomnia, meaning I’d have days or even weeks where I either didn’t sleep or turned to self medication to sleep. The withdrawals also put me into a severe depressive state with psychotic symptoms. This is not only immoral but UNSAFE! He only cares about your copays. He never answers emails and is barely even in office during the week so he crams as many patients into the short amounts of time that he’s there. Don’t expect him to spend more than 5 minutes with you. Doubtful he’ll care about you or your symptoms, actually don’t even get your hopes up that he’ll even learn your name. Don’t expect receptionist staff to be helpful either. If you absolutely have to see him at least request one of the nurse practitioners, who are the only positive thing about his business. Dr. Rudoy is a very good professional, I am recommending his practice for people who needs mental health care. I came here because I was suffering from depression and Dr. Rudoy helped me get better with the correct medications and treatment plan. The front desk is really efficient in checking in patients fast. They always confirm appointments and are very helpful in writing letters or anything else that's needed. The office has other nurse practitioners and a therapist and has expanded the office to have 2 more rooms. I really recommend Dr. Rudoy for all your mental health needs. I feel happy again! Go to literally any of the nurse practitioners at the practice instead of him. Truly one of those doctors who asks you 1 or 2 generic questions, writes your scripts and tells you to leave. I was in there with him for 5 minutes- I’m not exaggerating. The NPs are *so* much better, it’s actually embarrassing.

I saw Rudoy for years and overlooked his inadequacies when it came to meaningful appointments. Then, I moved out of state, recently, miscalculated my refills on my prescriptions, and had to reach out to him for a very short extension so I could find someone in my new state of residence. He had one of his employees tell me he absolutely would not consider refilling the script, even for a few days. I find this to be completely unprofessional and unethical. DO NOT GO TO HIM.

This doctor should lose his license: it is unconscionable how many patients he packs into one hour, spending 2 minutes tops with each one. He does not care about patients—he is like a pill factory. And don’t get me started about how incompetent and rude the front desk clerks are. The very worst—he should not be practicing.

Hares ur problems and adjust your medicine perfect

This doctor worked with me through several medications until we found one that was right for me, I saw him regularly for years, him and his staff have always been very accommodating and friendly, when new medications came out for my diagnosis we tried those as well which continued to improve my quality of life. I would recommend this psychiatrist to anyone that needs a strong pharmacologist and that is sick of dealing with appointments and insurance issues as it is a very smoothly run practice. Worst psychiatrist ever. I went for an intake and he saw me for less than five minutes. I felt like it was an interrogation. I didn't even get a prescription. I have to come back after a month. Which I won't. He just wants your money.

Great Dr who really listens to the problem at hand and provides real advice. He is a great help in times of need!

Dr Rudoy refused to refill my prozac prescription without me spending money on a visit, citing "§ 3339. Refilling of prescriptions for controlled substances" Though as another Doctor informed me this law does not apply to antidepressants as they are not a scheduled substance. Ask yourself the question do you want a mental health professional who withdraws treatment for a patient with suicidal ideations based on their own financial interest? Plenty of great doctors out there, hes not one.

we decided i would go off 2 of my meds. he told me how to taper down my dosage safely. a month later, he asks how i've been feeling. i spend about 5 minutes describing what it was like to come off these 2 meds but how i was happy to finally be off them. he says 'okay, so you need refills on those?' like he didn't listen to a word i said. i never spent more than 7 minutes in his office. he seems like he's mostly interested in getting co-pays and not his patient's wellbeing.

Horrible practice. Staff is rude, not courteous nor professional.

A greedy pill-pusher who doesn't care about patient wellbeing. Will prescribe pretty much anything without concern for the patient. My last straw - when he wrote my RX for 15 pills instead of 30 (without telling me!). I had to travel with half of the pills I'm supposed to take daily - a medication that I've been taking for years that puts me at a risk of seizures if stopped abruptly. Luckily I was ok. His explanation? He wanted me to come back & pay another appointment fee to get the other 15!

Literally the worst psychiatrist I have ever been to. I was a patient at his office in Manhattan at 225 Broadway. First off, he doesn't care about his patients. Barely talks to you. You see him for less than two minutes (yes, I timed my appointments MULTIPLE times) while he writes prescriptions for you. I was his patient for almost two years, and always meant to find a new one but didn't want to deal with the hassle until recently. I had difficulty filling a prescription while I was switching health insurances and was unable to fill the prescription within the month prescribed. I spoke to the pharmacy and they said I should contact him to resend an electronic signature. Unfortunately Dr. Rudoy is only in this office once a week. I called and left a message over the weekend. On Wednesday, the staff called back and told me he couldn't write me a new prescription without another appointment. I explained that it wasn't a new prescription; I never was able to fill it. They said they would relay the message and call me back. They didn't call for a while so I called back and they still had no new info. Finally, later in the day, Dr. Rudoy called me back himself. I explained the issue and he said he couldn't write a new prescription without a new appointment. I asked about the electronic signature and he said "you can't expect us to write a new prescription for free". Although I found that response both rude and ridiculous, I asked if he had an appointment that day (I was going on a trip that weekend and since he's only in the office once a week, that day would be my only chance). He was obviously irritated and rudely told me he didn't know and to call back and ask his secretary. So basically, Dr. Rudoy would rather let someone with mental health issues suffer than write a "free" prescription. Despicable. If I could give him zero stars, I would. Worst psychiatrist I've ever been to. You see him for less than two minutes while he writes prescriptions. I had difficulty filling a prescription when I was between insurances and was unable to fill it within the month prescribed. The pharmacy said I needed to contact him for a new electronic signature. I called him and he refused to give me a free prescription and when I asked if he had an appointment that day (he's only in once a week) he told me to call back and ask his secretary.
