Dr. Chlysta and his staff are nothing short of amazing. My whole experience from my first consult clear until now (2.5 weeks post op) has been great. His bedside manner is phenomenal, he takes his time to explain everything and answer any questions you or your loved ones may have about the prep, procedure and after care. Dr. Chlysta is a phenomenal surgeon! I spent more time with his staff who are equally as wonderful, but Dr. Chlysta did exactly as he said he would. My recovery was quick and easy, my results were exactly as expected. I am very happy I chose him and his office for my surgery 1 year ago!

In 2011, Dr. Chlysta performed an Esphogeal Fundoplication to treat my GERD. I immediately stopped having GERD episodes after the surgery, and continue to do so. Thank you, Dr. Chylsta and your wonderful, kind, & understanding staff.

Had been dealing with pain for over 10 years other doctor's thought the problem was galblater. After testing Dr chlysta found the problem to be triple hernias. One month after surgery I feel wonderful. Thank you Dr chlysta.

Dr. Chlysta and his staff are nothing short of amazing. They are such a great team who work very well together. I started seeing him in Oct 2018 in anticipation of getting bariatric surgery. I met with his NP, nutritionist and front office staff that 1st visit. Right away they got the ball rolling to get me set up for some of the tests and appointments I would need prior to the surgery. The 2nd visit I met with Dr. Chlysta and he made the requirements and expectations of his program very clear- he runs his office like a well oiled machine, so seamless. He cares about his patients, listens to them and answers all questions. He is a phenomenal surgeon and human being. I feel so blessed to have found him to complete my surgery, which was done in Feb 2019. I could not recommend him or his team or Western Reserve Hospital any more. I am greatly impressed with Dr. Chlysta and his staff. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. Dr. Chlysta's bedside manner is stellar; which says a lot in this day and age. He made me feel very comfortable in the operating room which put me at ease. He is very personable and talks to me like a person not just as another patient coming in. I would recommend Dr. Chlysta. He not only knows what he is doing, he is caring and compassinate. He not only saved my husbands life he did my surgery also. He is wonderful and his staff is also great.

I am so pleased with Dr. Chylsta and his team. He was knowledgeable, caring and very supportive. The staff was fantastic through all the stages of getting the approval from my insurance company. I had wanted the gastric sleeve for a few years but I was hesitant due to a big problem with adhesions. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. No regrets!!

Best Doctor I have ever had

I trust this Doctor with my life. Best Doctor I know. I have had him from 2008... and when a problem would come up ,,, He is my go to Doctor!

Yep, there are most definitely reasons people sing this surgeon’s praises all over the web. If he currently doesn’t teach the young doctors coming up, I hope he does at some point. I have no doubt most surgeons are blessed with a level of intelligence beyond many of us, but the social graces seem to sometimes be absent (now having a teen with Asperger’s that is super smart but struggles socially, I hope I am more understanding of the whys of this from experience). Anyway, you get the whole enchilada with Dr. Chlysta AND his staff. He’s thorough, patient and has an amazing “bed side manner”. He puts you at ease, explains things, asks if you have questions and comes across 100% sincere. I only had a cholecystectomy - I believe his specialty is a type of gastric bypass surgery, but all went swimmingly. I don’t mean that as in “gallbladder removal is not important”, but as in thinking that gastric bypass surgery patients have a tough road, where a kind physician like Dr. Chlysta can make all the difference. He might have swayed my opinion on the ethical considerations of cloning because the world could use more surgeons like him. OMGOSH, I am thrilled to be a patient of Dr Chlysta’s; I had a TERRIBLE experience in another program and Dr Chlysta is helping me get to my surgery; I think he is very personable, understanding, very knowledgeable and to the point! And his staff is equally as friendly and caring as he is; I can’t even begin to tell you the relief I have after switching from the OTHER Doctor! Dr Chlysta has MUCH MORE EXPERIENCE and I am actually SHOWN my results from various tests, including Doctor reports! This dr is never on schedule. First dr visit he came in 45 min late. Had to come back in for a referral and he is late again. Will not use him again.

Dr. Chlysta is professional and thorough in his care. My experience with him was excellent. He took time to answer my questions about gall bladder surgery, and explain procedures and follow up in great detail. Surgery went well and he kept my husband informed throughout recovery. He is both skilled and experienced as well as a considerate and caring doctor, and I feel fortunate to be under his care.

Dr Chlysta is probably a very good surgeon but he has a terrible bedside manner. He does explain procedures well, but fails to answer questions often. His staff was great before my surgery but after not so much. I would not recommend him/his program based on long term lack of care and the Dr’s attitude. Waits are always long

I am now waiting to have my drain removed. It is my 17th day post op. He went on vacation and I was discharged by a different Doctor. 7 days after discharge I went to another doctor and he wouldn't remove (grand total off 27cc) in 24 hr Now he's back but I have yet been given an appointment This is no Cleveland Clinic RN

Dr. Chlysta removed my Gallbladder. I had very little pain afterwards and the scars are barely visible after only 3 months. He went over the surgery with me and let me know what should and what could happen. I'm very glad he was my surgeon. Thank You Very Much, Kevin Murphy.

Dr. Chlysta takes every opportunity when speaking with you to be condescending and rude. I do not doubt his skill as a surgeon is superior but for me his attitude ruined my trust in him.
