Excellent doctor and staff

I have had cancer three times and this office and people are the best.

Do yourself a favor go to Gainesville....This place is a joke his staff up front was rude! My uncle which is mentally handicap had an appointment, we get there check in and try to explain to them my uncle does not receive information like we do, she basically said that's not her problem. Well, we get into the room they start doing labs we asked what is that for basically was told its routine. Then, the dr come in he had an attitude as soon as he walked in. We started asking questions he kept saying most ppl do well...Well, my uncle has problems and hes 74yrs old hes not most ppl. He then said if you care so much take him down where y'all are. He still needs testing done not all the tests are run yet, he wanted to start treatment we told him we were not making any decisions on anything till all tests were back and we would go from there. At this point he tells us that he needed a decision now and that he had other patients he could see. My mom is my uncles care giver but at this point I stood up and said nothing we are not scheduling anything. He kept pushing and I said we will take him back to Citrus County and he will go to Gainesville he kept being an asshole so I called him an asshole where he says no you're the asshole. I walked out of his office saying some choice words. My mom then told him 2 people we care about died on his watch he wasn't taking my uncle too his reply was So....So??? Are you serious this man does not need to be a dr he doesnt care about anyone or anything but his pockets! He's all about the money! He could care less about the patient, he doesn't care if you live or die as long as he's got his money! I would hope nobody takes people they love to this man because hes the devil in a Dr. Coat! If I could give him below zero starts I would!

My wife (Magda Salles Torres) and I are so thankful of Dr Khan all his staff, we do not regret a single day the decision of going to them and traveling 40 miles (coming from Gainesville) every week to come to Cancer Care of North Florida. Dr. Khan its very knowledgeable and the staff is amazing, from the Front desk to the back end, check out, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners, every single one have always a smile for us, they are all truly passionate about what they do. My husband has received excellent care here for the past two years. Everyone is very compassionate and treats us like “family”. Dr. Khan is very concerned about his patients and “goes the extra mile” to make sure they get the best care possible.

On 9/6/18 I had an appt with Cancer Care Center of N.Fl. in Lake City with Dr Kahn. We called the center ahead of time to make sure they excepted rituxan infusions. They said yes. We called our insurance, they said everything was ready, all they needed was the paper work from the oncologist. My neurologist had already sent my file over and I filled out their required new patient forms before we showed up early for our appt. When we showed up we paid our copay and was taken back into a room. A woman came in and took labs from me without explaining why since I was only there to supposivily get prepped to move forward with an educational appt for receiving the infusions. Shortly walked in Dr Kahn. He pulls up my information on his computer and the only thing in my digital file is a referral from my neurologist that's very vague. Dr. Kahn adamantly explains there's nothing they can do, they don't have my file, they don't deal with insurance approval because that's not his staffs problem and they are not trained for that and I need to go back to my doctor and get everything in order before coming back. He also let us know it could take months for my insurance to approve anything. He doesn't give rituxan infusions and he's not touching anything ????. We leave the appointment right away and call my neurologist office to find out why they didn't send my file over because there was plenty of time. The receptionist is shocked because she knows for a fact it was sent. A moment later she comes back with the tracking number and confirmation where the file was sent and received. The Cancer Care Center had my file during my appt, they had not uploaded it in to my digital file for my appt. But of course they take no responsibility or acknowledgement of that. Since my appt with the Cancer Care Center, Dr Kahn basically refuses to administer the rituxan for every excuse he can come up with and continues to argue with my neurologist office. To him, I'm just another file number and his "patient manners" are appalling. This man deals with people who are fighting terminal illnesses every day and not one positive thing came out of his mouth during our entire appointment. No doubt this man has chosen the wrong field to work in or maybe he's been in this field so long that he's forgotten that he's dealing with human beings, not just statistics. Due to Dr Kuhn and his pride and ignorant staff, my infusions and medical needs have been at a complete standstill as my insurance is on standby waiting for the paperwork so we can move forward. Today we start looking for a new oncologist which means a prolonged time so we can move forward. I was hoping that I could do the infusions close to home but now we are forced to search far from home. My heart goes out to families that have to face these issues. Doctors are not Gods and many of them need to be reminded of that. Just because I face a medical need doesn't give any medical staff the right to bully a patient. Their attitude is, "if you don't like it, go else where". Dr. Khan's expertise, experience, and knowledge make him the best in Lake City. His staff was very friendly and helpful. Over all it was a great experience.

Excellent doctor, staffl and experience! Every one here is dedicated to giving you the best care and information possible. Using leading tech and no nonsense service that is friendly and helpful. I rarely spend time sitting, waiting for the nurse or doctor. Few other doctor's offices are as proficient and caring as this.
