Very insensitive and blows off parents concerns. Our son is 4 and autistic so we needed a follow up due to image on previous mri she shows no care and makes us as parents feel wrong for wanting to assure ourselves that our child mri is ok.

She was the doctor of my brother for a long time. My mom thought she was a specialist in her field but she made so many mistakes. If it wasn't for his primary doctor at the time, he would have died from being over prescribed Dilantin. My brother is autistic so he cant talk for himself but she was so negligent in her practice. Another thing she did was she prescribed a sedative for an MRI she scheduled for him. As his doctor she should have known the interaction between the medications she prescribed and that sleeping agent. As soon as they gave it through iv, he had a seizure. My mom would question the shaking from the now apparent over dose she would just say it's because of him being autistic. Everything was because of him being autistic. Dr. Wendy Mitchell saw my son right after he was diagnosed with mild hemoplagia at 3-years-old. She agreed with the orthopedist who made the initial diagnosis that it was very mild and said we didn’t need OT or therapies, no MRI necessary as it wouldn’t change anything. Fast forward to his check up at 4, almost 5, and with our son’s growth and some tightness that results from the weakness on his left side, at this visit, Dr. Mitchell was more curt and insensitive with our child now old enough to be watching and listening about himself that he now needs OT, PT a brace and an MRI, all of which she had previously told us wasn’t necessary, and all said in a very insensitive way. We already had him in OT even though she told us not to, but we felt her bedside manner needs a lot of softening to be appropriate for children’s hospital. We’re also moving to another state and Dr. Mitchell started talking about how our new city flooded when she was there and houses were under water and “make sure your new house isn’t in the flood zone” all in the room with our kids. No please don't go to see this dr.,actually if should call her Dr?? She even doesn't want to say Hi,she refused to do extra test,while she doesn't let to have second opinion,Hope no body have her as Nurologist,since after waiting long time you meet a person who doesn't want to treat kids.

Horrible Doctor. Does not have the children's best interest. Does not perform the tests needed and will not allow you to get a second opinion. Thinks she's God.
