Very nice Dr. :)

Dr. Barker and his staff were wonderful before and after my meniscus tear surgery. He listens carefully and makes me feel comfortable.

I have spent years struggling with chronic pain, and as I get older - like most of my peers - some of my diagnoses (like my bad knees) are getting worse instead of better. In recent years, I’ve really struggled to move past my medical trauma (which makes me fearful to even ask for help) and body size stigmas (I’ve gained over 100lbs due to arthritis, breathing issues and COVID in the past year)...but I keep experiencing the same traumatic things. Until, that is, until I was referred to Dr. Barker. Dr. Barker listened to me. When I tried to “streamline” my medical history, he stopped me and asked me to tell him about the trauma I’d experienced. He knew and understood what I was talking about, and rather than blowing me off, he validated my experience. He did what needed to be done after thoroughly reviewing my MRI’s, my chart and my verbal history. Right then, in his office. He explained what’s happening, what to expect next, and what I can do to help myself. He was kind, he was humane, and he treated me like an intelligent human being and the expert on my experience in my body. It shouldn’t be so rare to have this experience but it is...and I sat the room and cried happy tears when it was over. Not only was Dr. Barker incredible, but so was his staff...encouraging, friendly, professional. They found information for me to share with my husband, told me not to get flustered and rushed and to take my time. They also told me not to let my pain keep me locked in my house for four months...to come in and let them help. And they told me how they can help. Saw Dr Barker for a knee issue. He was great! He spent time with me in the appointment asking about how I injured it, what my normal activity level is an so on. He thoroughly explained the next steps and answered all my questions. As soon as my test results were finished he actually called me to go over them.

He is caring and responsible. He listened and responded to my needs.

Dr. Barker is very caring, and he listens. He has an amazing ability to put you at ease.

My GP referred me to Orthopedic ONE after my left knee had been quite sore for several weeks. I chose Dr. William Barker, based on several testimonials that I found. He found a torn meniscus and suggested arthroscopic surgery. I had this surgery about 16 years ago and remembered laying on the couch for a week with a swollen, tender knee. The surgery went extremely well and I was walking without crutches that evening. The next day I removed the bandages from my leg & walked without any aids. After 2 1/2 weeks of the knee progressively feeling better, I biked 8 miles to the gym, swam a half mile and biked home. Needless to say, I'm a big fan! Not only did the surgery go well, I found that he takes the time to fully explain things to his patients. It's almost to the point that when he is talking to you in an exam room you start to feel guilty about how much of his time you are taking and you wonder why he is not rushing out of the room like so many other doctors do.

First time, experience was with doctor and x-ray team

Very organized and friendly. The doctor took his time with me and explained my options

Met Dr. Barker for the first time for my knee pain. He is very knowledgeable, kind , friendly and caring. I’m very happy to have him as my dr.

Dr Barker is the best. He sits down and chats with me about the surgery, taking time to answer all my questions. I can tell he loves his job, and he has a great sense of humor.

This was my first meeting with Dr. Barker and I couldn't be more impressed. He was very attentive and listened to my concerns. He asked questions and explained what he felt was going on with my knee and what needed to be done if the MRI shows what he thinks it will. Just sorry that I have to wait 1 1/2 weeks for the MRI and a few more days after that for follow-up with Dr. Barker. I understand that may be due to our insurance though. I’m always a bit nervous to see a new doctor who I’ve never met. This visit worked out fabulously! Dr Barker was very friendly and explained his findings and my options. I feel comfortable knowing my case is in his hands

I really appreciated Dr. Baker's analysis of my knee issues and his recommendations. He spent quite a bit of time with me and I enjoyed his relaxed manner. I only wish he was in a position to do my surgery and help me recover. I felt very comfortable with him and he earned my trust! Thank you, Dr. Barker.

I have been seeing Dr. Barker for nine years now. I was referred to him by my rheumatologist to deal with the degenerative effects of arthritis. He is very compassionate, an incredible listener, and motivator. I love his energy, it is very encouraging. He has dealt with issues of my various joint problems and, so far, one knee surgery; I have a lot of confidence in him.

I have had surgery by Dr, Barker three separate times. Once for a shoulder problem, once for a meniscus 'trim' and the last time for a meniscus repair. He is 100% professional, He is a brilliant doctor. His bedside manner is the best I have ever experienced, He takes all the time you need to explain things and even takes phone calls for post surgery issues. If he was a GP, I'd want him for our family doctor.

Dr.William Barker is a Excellent and very professional Doctor. I had surgery done on both of my knees at the same time. My right knee I had a torn meniscus ligament and my left knee and right knee also had arthroscopic repairs.The next day I was able to walk with a walker. Truly and highly recommend Dr. William Barker. Thank you so much ??
