Dr. Brock was very professional and knowledgeable. Trust and bedside manner are very important to me. Dr. Brock exhibited all of the above. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

He has a very bad bedside manner.. Basically I was told to lose 308 lbs and take fiber. Please find another Dr. He would not take time to allow you to speak or tell you how to deal with your situation.wish I could leave zero stars.i had to do my own research because he didn't want to give information on what I can do to improve my injury. ( yes I know I'm over weight but I am active and healthy). You cant say I didn't try to warn you. Was extremely rude in his ways..and wasted my time. I will seek a second opinion. What a joke. But that's okay I'll pray for him to stop passing judgment on plus size people. I'm a very shy person and partly deaf so it takes me a minute to be able to respond with answers and he didn't give me time to ask questions. I had high expectations for this Dr. Because he helped my ex husband out.. What a joke.. Anyways please rethink about this before you book your appointment because it's not worth the lack of information about your health. You have to be your on advocate. I do not recommend this doctor. Had a few bad experiences with him. Not a compassionate doctor at all. Doesn’t seem to give proper advice, hurried my diagnosis without giving me time to even let it sink in before doing surgery. Huge mistake to let him to do it! Worse attitude for a doctor ever..... if you want just a colonoscopy he can do that decent I guess. Never went back to him for another one though. Found someone much more professional. Dr. Brock has always taken excellent care of myself & my family members. From colonoscopies, hernia repairs to gallbladder removal. Highly recommend him to anyone needing general surgery.

Dr. Brock implanted a power port in my shoulder 5 years ago when I had esophageal cancer and was amazingly friendly and cordial. Made me feel like family. He later removed a stint from my stomach that was improperly placed by another doctor at Vanderbilt. He drained a large hematoma that formed on my back due to a terrible fall. I would personally recommend him for any medical condition or surgery.

Great! He and his staff were so good to me. If I had followed the advice of the emergency room Drs. It would not have been a good outcome. They (the er Drs.) didn't even get close enough to me to touch me. They told me it was cellulitis and it turned out to be MSRA. Dr. Brock gave me excellent care.

He was completely rude, condescending, and seemed literally annoyed that we asked a simple and logical question in an after-surgery consultation. Not what you expect to encounter when a doctor comes in tot talk with you about a loved one who has just had surgery for an aggressive cancer. I was shocked and in total disbelief at how he treated me for asking a question to understand serious information he was giving us about our family member’s condition. And it was the only question I asked.

I was not given any opportunity to undress privately. I had to drop my drawers in front of doctor, which I found very humiliating, and unprofessional, uncomfortable and totally inappropriate for a senior woman to have to endure. It was clear I needed a peri area exam upon my arrival.

Dr. Brock himself seems like a nice guy. He did my recent surgery. Being one of maybe 2 total surgeons in the area, he does seem a little overbooked and as such, doesn't spend much time talking to you, explaining things, or answering questions. But overall, my surgery went well and he even helped when the pain didn't abate as quickly as anticipated. Some of his office staff, however, are rather rude (and condescending), which made the visits and follow-ups a little less than pleasant.
