I liked that the doctor performed a surgical procedural that another doctor had failed to do, notwithstanding numerous office visits and calls, along with various pre-op tests and paperwork, anesthesia, and cost in time and dollars. I didn't like that the doctor's office sometimes fails to return telephone calls and that the office waits are extremely lengthy. On balance, competence certainly trumps niceties, but I'd like the office to operate in a more organized fashion. [I have noticed that world-class doctors at another major medical center seem to be able to serve patients without the missed calls and office delays.]
