Amazing people and service! My entire family goes to Dr. Harkins and we love every staff member there. From the receptionists to hygienists to doctors, everyone greets you with a smile and is so friendly and welcoming. My kids are actually excited to go to the dentist and are never nervous - even after having to have some baby teeth pulled. Jen, Carol and Ashley are fantastic and do fabulous cleanings! Dr. Harkins and his team are completely professional and do everything within their power to help their patients with any dental problem.

I came here after going to a horrible dentist for years. I only had state insurance so there were limited dentists in the area. My previous dentist was very rude, unprofessional, and unpleasant. After going to Dr. Harkins I got to see how a dentist who is in it for the people, not the money gets to practice. Immediately I was greeted with a smile. He was very friendly and thoughtful. He cracked a few jokes to ease the situation after hearing I had an awful experience with my previous dentist. He was very polite, caring, thorough, and answered any and all questions. You can see that he chose this profession to truly help people. Not just for the money. All the people at the desk and all the assistants were extremely polite and welcoming. I HIGHLY suggest going to Dr. Harkins if you are looking for a new dentist. Especially if you’re skeptical about going to the dentist. He will make it very easy and relaxing! I travel all the way from Cleveland Ohio to go see Dr. Harkins. I just went today and have reaffirmed that he and his team are worth the four and half hour trip. From the front desk to the dentist - Dr. Harkins and his crew have always demonstrated the highest degrees of professionalism and excellence. Once you walk in, you're immediately greeted by a waiting room that's more spacious and comfortable than many hotel lobbies. Neither I, nor the other people in the lobby even had to register at the front desk, as the receptionist already matched up our arrival times with who we were. This is the same individual who handled my insurance with much more skill and efficiency than I had received at other "leading" dentists in the big city. I can also safely say with no exaggeration that Ashley is hands down the best and most pleasant dental hygienist I've ever had. She was extremely delicate on my teeth and gums, yet cleaned everything thoroughly. Moreover, she patiently responded to my questions about flossing techniques, toothpicks, and other concerns about my teeth and gums. I've also had very similar experiences with Carrol, who is similarly skilled and takes great pride in doing an outstanding job. Finally, Dr. Harkins provided exquisite service after my cleaning. He answered any questions I had, was extremely personable, polite, and has a wonderful sense of humor. You can really tell the guy knows what he's doing and hires extremely qualified staff. This being said, this dental office has my highest recommendation and am very surprised it's hiding in a little town like Philipsburg. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could.
