Dr. William Clark Mitchell

Dr. Mitchell is great but was over an hour late for my appointment.

The main thing that is important to me is that Dr. Michell will spend the time with me to explain in detail my diagnosis and treatment. He has never rushed through a visit and is very friendly. I would recommend him.

Dr. William Mitchell is a very caring and concerned doctor. He seem to help me greatly and super quick. The only Urology I have ever been to that followed up as much on my surgeries. He performed two kidney stone removal surgeries on me. He was super professional in all aspects. His staff is amazing. They are very quick in returning phone calls and always try to answer all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Dr. William Mitchell.

Waited for over an hour after prepaying for the appointment. Finally left without a refund, they couldn’t figure it out how to do a refund. 2nd visit was even worse. Never saw the Dr., after an hour and a half wait, I stood in the middle of their office trying to get my money back, while the Ofc mgr tried for another 30 minute how to issue a refund. I had the worst experience with the office staff, after struggling to make the appointment, they told me that they will call to make sure that my insurance is acceptable and that they will come to me if they find that it is not acceptable. Nobody called, so I assumed that everything is great. 2 days before the appointment date, they called me to confirm. today I drove 45 minutes and after filling a bunch of paper and setting in the office for over half an hour, they came back and said we do not accept you insurance????????? I said what?? this was completely unprofessional and complete waste of time and ignorance. I do not recommend going there. I aske to see the doctor to explain what happen, they kept saying that he is busy with other patients???? I'm reviewing Dr. Mitchell, not the office staff. (I have found that a lot of office staff are less than efficient.)Dr. Mitchell removed a kidney stone for me. He was professional and friendly, and did a great job!

I would give this office zero stars if I could. My husband was referred to this doctor from his primary care physician. It has been nothing but a nightmare from the first visit. He left with a year prescription and orders to come back for a follow up. He tried to reach the office for a year and was never able to get through. Always had to leave a message with no return call. Then his prescription ran out. He went back to primary care doctor who got ahold of the office and scheduled him a 2nd appointment. He was given 2 prescriptions at that appointment. He went to pharmacy and only one was called in and the other required more info from the doctor. After 2 weeks, I called the office and left a message. Never got a call back. I finally selected the option that I was a hospital or doctors office and I finally got through. The lady that answered told me the nurses were with patients and they would call me back. I waited a couple of hours and no call back. So I called again and selected that I was a hospital again and this time they did not answer my call. So I used *67 making my number private and called again using the hospital extension and they answered. I insisted on speaking with a nurse. After waiting on hold for an extended Lydia answered and told me that they forgot to send one prescription and she would get that called in at that time and she said the other required a prior authorization but they had not done it because the insurance companies were not approving that medication for anyone. I called the insurance company and they said yes they would approve it as soon as they received the prior authorization. So I called the office back and left a message to which I never received a call back. Fast forward 2 week to today. I called again, had to use the hospital extension, got ahold of Lydia again. I explained the situation to her and she proceeded to tell me that in their experience the insurance companies are not approving that medication. I said can you please complete the prior authorization and we can see if they approve it. She then told me that girl, Sheena, that is doing them is running behind right now. I said a month behind. She said yes, at least 2 months behind. She said they had a girl that all she did was prior authorizations, but she quit so now they were all having to pitch in and do them. They get hundred of them a day and just can't keep up. She said the girl doing them now wears many hats. She said I could leave a message for her that she tries to listen to the messages at the end of each day. I find this totally unacceptable and appalling. I am calling my insurance company and our primary care doctor to complain. I would give this office zero stars if I could. My husband was referred to this doctor from his primary care physician. Dr Mitchell has been our urologist do over 20 years. Always has been responsive an overall always attentive.

Surgery was sub-par, with multiple issues. I would not recommend.

Showed up 10 minutes early - called me back eventually, then I waited for doc for 45 minutes and never saw him. The staff claimed he was busy, but I could hear him talking and shooting the sh%$ with the nurses right outside the door. I think it's rude to keep your patients waiting unnecessarily and if you can't keep to a simple schedule, I don't want you overseeing my health. Dr Mitchell is so professional,but some of his office staff are unprofessional and negligent. I did urine test no one called back for results after five days i called the office no one answered left a voicemail still no response.today I went to the office an office manager talked to me and check that I had no test or results. Asked him how come he said I don’t know i was not in the room.It is a doctor office not a hardware store.i told him to cancel my follow up appointment. Best Dr in Collin County. Dr. Mitchell will sit talk and listen with you till he can figure out the problem and fix it

Wonderful doctor, never makes you feel rushed.

Dr. Mitchell is a great provider, but I can’t give a higher rating due to his staff. I have been dealing with IC for 4 years and have been at my worst for the past 5 months. After failed multiple oral medications, bladder irrigation’s, two surgeries, physical therapy, and seeing a specialist. My symptoms are only slightly better. Now after arguing with his surgery coordinator an being blamed for the delay, I am now stuck without management for seeing a specialist that he referred me to. Pain is real, I am not on pain medications because I love it, but I struggle about 98% of the time with pain. Anyone can ask my employer, children, spouse, and family who have seen me crying in pain. I now had another surgery but neither doctor wants to give pain medications, which would be fine if I could take over the counter medications, but I’m having surgery again in two weeks, so have limited list of medications. Not everyone wants to abuse opioids, but not everyone works or has the same lifestyle. If they do not want to handle a certain condition with pain relief, especially something like IC then perhaps another alternative provider should be involved. This is what happens when people who really are in pain can’t get help because of DEA control and drug abuse. So sad, but I’m glad I don’t have a more painful medical condition because then I may be on disability/unemployment.
