The staff were professional kind and caring. A very good experience. They meet you where you are.

There are many dentists to go to out there. And that's ok if you want just ok. But I want the best. I may never own a big house, or a loaded cadillac or fancy vacations, but I will always have the best dentist ever! Thanks to everyone and as always job well done!!

My first visit to the South Lyon office was a great experience! Everyone was very friendly, informative and super professional in a nice casual way. I’ll be back!

This dental office has the latest equipment, my wait time is very minimal in the office, staff is very friendly, hygienist is very thorough and Dr Shortt is honest with me about what procedures I really need now versus what can wait. They don’t try to oversell you. Highly recommend!

Jan was very friendly and thorough. All of the staff did a wonderful job as usual. I always have the greatest confidence in everyone here and the quality of care that we receive. It is obvious that the staff really cares.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Shortt for a few years now and we've had wonderful service both from the dental staff and the office staff.

The whole practice is VERY clean. Friendly, knowledgeable and informative staff. Therese is gentle with her work.

I have been seeing them for over thirty years and even thou I have moved over 20 miles away, I still drive out to see them. The only way I would go someplace else is if they were to retire. They are the best!

Janet is the best hygenist one can ask for. She is professional, all while being quick and efficient. Best place to come if your not a big fan of the dentist.

Been going to Shortt Dental for many years. Always great dental work, great staff, very clean environment. They have your best interest at heart.

I've been coming to Dr. Shortt's office for at least 4 or 5 years now, but I recently had an appointment that alarmed me. While I was in the chair, Dr. Shortt and someone else in the office (don't know if staff or patient, couldn't see) were having a discussion in the side room about the COVID-19 pandemic. I wasn't paying close attention until I heard Dr. Shortt make a comment about Dr. Fauci. He said exactly "that man deserves worse than prison" - the obvious implication being Dr. Shortt was wishing death upon a government official. I don't care what someone's political beliefs are; making such a threatening remark so casually, in a professional setting, with patients in the room was disturbing behavior. If Dr. Shortt is so comfortable saying these things publicly, I'm concerned about what other, possibly more violent views he holds but doesn't vocalize. I will be going to a new, more grounded dentist for future appointments, and I will tell my friends to avoid this place.

MY MOM WITH SEVERE DEMENTIA HAD TO HAVE TEETH PULLED AND CLEANED. THE WHOLE TEAM DID JUST A MAGNIFICENT JOB HANDLING HER. SHE WAS NON-COOPERATIVE OUT OF FEAR, BUT THEY WORKED FAST AND STAYED CALM... THANKS SO MUCH

Very competent and professional dentist. I've had several same day crowns and one implant done. Process is as painless as possible, equipment and techniques are state of the art. Hygienist are friendly and understanding.

His assistant (sorry I forgot her name already) was especially great and friendly and explained everything - and anticipated my needs. I was very surprised to get my crown all in one day! This practice is family owned but a husband and wife. They are both dentists and excellent at what they do. Its the most friendly place, with hygienists who are all wonderful. Their front desk staff is caring and accommodating with scheduling, billing etc. They send you text notifications for appointment reminders as well as emails - so its impossible to miss an appointment. The turnover is so low, everyone who works there is happy for a reason. I have lived in Royal Oak for 7 years and still drive to South Lyon to get my teeth cleaned because i dont want to find anyone else. This practice is family owned but a husband and wife. Do not trust Dr. Terese Shortt She intentionally drilled three little holes in a filling opposite the one she was working on! Unethical! Possibly malpractice! Also she tends to work on two or three patients at a time. This means you will sit and wait while she tends to another patient before returning to finish the work already started.

Just moved to the state and was referred to Shortt Dental. I have been impressed with the attention that Dr. Shortt has given to each of my family members. I cannot recommend Shortt Dental enough to anyone looking for personal and kind care.

While going to the dentist is never fun, the staff at Dr Shortts is exceptional. Very friendly and very professional. My wife and I have been going there for over 25 years.

We went in for a consultation regarding some extensive work my husband needed done. We came back with two different plans, both printed out and reviewed with us. Dr Bill and his staff reviewed x-rays, explained the procedures, and answered all of our many questions. Friendly office staff. Office feels modern and dental staff very knowledgeable.

Been going to the Shortt’s for 10+ years. I now live about an hour away but still make the drive. By far the best dentists I’ve ever been to.

I took both of my girls (10 & 18) here for new patient exams and cleanings, wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. Both girls really liked Dr. Bill.

I've been a patient here for 16 years and I absolutely recommend. Not only are they super nice, but they have kept up with the most recent technology and techniques. The office staff is great too!

As always the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I received a very thorough teeth cleaning by the hygienist and Dr. Bill helped me to understand some concerns that I had with a few teeth.

I had a root canal where the cap kept coming off causing an infection. Had a bad toothache. Stopped in with no appointment. Got 2 bad teeth pulled at 10am next morning. Bill did a great job my emergency situation and was super friendly and possitive. I'll be back for implants and cleanings for sure.

Great team. Great service. Dr. Bill believes in having all the latest and greatest dentistry toys to make things better for the patients. Over the last 5 years I've had almost all the common things done. Caps and crowns. Fillings, cleanings, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to send somebody here.

I posted a review after my first visit. Everything went very well. The second visit was very different. I will just touch on the most important details. I was not called back until 45 minutes after my appointment time. I made it clear to Dr. Therese on my first visit that I have had negative experiences at prior dentist offices, I needed a dentist that would listen to me, and that I could trust. She said she completely understood. Well....apparently Not! It appears that I am resistant to novacaine. It might have something to do with my health issues, that she was very aware of. She just kept putting novacaine into the canals of the root, saying, this will take care of if. I had 9 or 10 shots total, and still felt everything. I was sobbing in the chair. Dr. Therese did not even acknowledge my crying. The hygienist just kept holding my arm, to comfort me. I was a prisoner in that dental chair, I needed the procedure to be finished. She kept leaving when stays needed to he done, to take care of other patients, sometimes for 30 to 40 minutes. I was there from 11am to 2:30 pm. It was true torture!!! I still can't touch my bottom and top teeth together, 5 days later. Take my advice!!! Pass over this one!!! I posted a review after my first visit. Everything went very well.
