William Trotter

Dr. William Trotter is the best Ophthalmologist. He is very professional in manner and highly knowledgeable in his field of expertise. I have been examined and treated by him for several years, and recommend him highly. He recently removed a cataract from my right eye. He made sure that I knew exactly what was happening and what to expect.

I took my quadriplegic client in for her exams for cataract surgery and we had already been waiting 7 months and was informed that Dr. Trotter would be the surgeon that would preform the procedure in a hospital since the appointment we haven’t heard anything from anyone and it’s going on a month. I've been going to Dr. Trotter for years. I recently had cataract surgery...everything went smoothly. I can clearly see the sea again!

I was nervous about the procedure (cataract surgery) but found Dr. Trotter's approach reassuring. The surgery and recovery was as good as it could be and I will return for my other eye when ready. He was recommended to me and I am grateful for his expertise and manner.

Love this doctor. Caring , patient and kind. My Pterygium surgery went well. He explained to me the procedure, I was afraid of the anesthesia, he and his team took a good care of me. Dr Trotter isn't only a good Doctor but a great human being.

I 1st saw Dr. Trotter in the Camarillo office over a 1 1/2 years ago. When I went to make my much needed appointment, they had my day and time set up at Camarillo. Being that I live in Ventura, I would have preferred the Ventura office, however I needed the 1st available with Dr. Trotter. When I arrived at the Camarillo I had been waiting for some time after signing in. The woman at the desk said they made a mistake and I was on the book in Ventura!! This is so UNPROFESSIONAL! I have a rare auto-immune disease along with having had many tragedies is the last 5 years, including the death of my son. I was finally able to get an appointment in Ventura with Dr. Trotter. My memory of him from my 1st visit was a good one. He was very nice. My brother who is a Cardiologist in this area mentioned he was a good Ophthalmologist and recommended him. On my 1st visit you could tell that was a crazy, busy office and the staff at the front were very rude. I believe they have made a lot of staff changes since the 1st time I was there. When I got to my Ventura appointment, I got there at 2:30 for a 3:00 appointment. The gal at the front needed some updated info which I was happy to provide, including my own print outs of my meds, my surgeries and my current medical issues....there are many. It was until after 4:00 they called me back and the tech did the 1st part, dilation etc. Then I sat what seemed like forever until I got into see Dr. Trotter. He did not have the same, kind demeanor that I remembered! He was short with me and somewhat rude! We finally got out of there after 5:00pm!! I spent a total of 15 minutes with the Dr. and the tech, yet I was there for over 2 hours!! They must overbook, along with one gal at this front office who looked frazzled. Having been a business owner which included customer service, it is bad business to be so overbooked especially with incompetent staff!!
