Exceptional results. Very good support staff and professional care!

My husband and two teenage daughter are all patients of Dr. Ulmer. He took his time to explain diagnoses in terms that we all understood. He is very compassionate and personable.

I find OSS in general very competent when a clear path forward is indicated. However, Dr. Ulcer in particular is VERY conservative in his treatment recommendations and adopts a “wait and see” approach when IMO a more direct treatment is desired (and mentioned). This is the second time I have had a similar experience with this doctor, and as a result am currently experiencing ongoing discomfort without treatment. I have requested a follow up appointment through the OSS web site.

He definitely know what he's doing! Nice attitude and great staff.

Dr. Ulmer did my rotator cuff surgery and was great.

Dr Ulmer is a great surgeon he knew my fear of surgery,and he told me he directed his staff to be aware of this.he is very kind and understanding and couldn't have a better staff.i had a wonderful experience during my surgery thank you Dr Ulmer God bless.

Dr Ulmer shows compassion for his patients. He answered all my questions leading up to surgery. Prior to surgery he met with me and went over everything in detail again.

Dr. Ulmer is always professional and truly cares about his patients. He provides the care needed and gives honest advice regarding his patients needs. Always a pleasure to see him as he has a wonderful bedside manner.

Dr. Ulmer came highly recommended by another surgeon friend of mine and for good reason. He explained my shoulder issues and the corrective surgery he was going to perform in a way that could easily be understood. He travels around the country teaching his techniques, which says a lot about his skill level. I highly recommend Dr. Ulmer if you are having shoulder problems and when my other shoulder fails, I will be running back to Dr. Ulmer. I wish I could get the same confidence in all my health care needs!

Wonderful doctor/surgeon! Great bedside manner, treats you like a person and doesn't talk down to you! Highly recommend!

Dr. Ulmer has a great bedside manner and cares deeply about both short and long-term care. I wouldn't go to anyone else for my shoulder and biceps issues!

Dr Ulmer is super friendly and easy to talk to. He listened very attentively to what I had to say. He explained everything he was doing in detail. I trust him 100 %

Went in for a bankart labrum repair, Very detailed in how the procedure would go and the steps after would recommend, went back after I broke my arm and was very helpful throughout the recovery process

Dr. Ulmer knew what my shoulder issue was right away, we tried to treat it conservatively although that failed and I had to have surgery. That was a seamless process and his staff and the ASC staff was amazing. After the first 2 weeks of post-op discomfort, I was amazed at how quickly I started healing and feeling better. I'm at 2 months post surgery and feeling like I'm at 85%. I'm very pleased with his care and would highly recommend him!!!

I was so fortunate to have Dr Ulmer for my surgeon. I had extensive damage to my shoulder. He was caring, patient and most of an excellent surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you for excellent service!!

Great experience! Everyone was very professional and nice.

Dr. Ulmer and his P.A., Adam, are extremely interested in patient care and provide excellent care. From office visits to outpatient or inpatient procedures, the only place we would ever consider is OSS.

This physician hardly spends any time with his patients. He does not communicate and comes across as too busy to really care about you as a patient. Disappointed would be an understatement of my recent shoulder surgery with Dr. Ulmer. I would definitely recommend you steer clear of this busy physician. I have very limited use of my shoulder post-surgery. Hope this helps someone else as I cannot go back and re-do the decisions that were made.

I was able to see a specialist the day following my call to schedule an appointment. I feel confident that the diagnosis was correct, and the treatment plan seems to be effective thus far. I made a personal decision to follow the manufacturers direction for Alleve dosage instead of doubling the dosage as recommended by doctor, to reduce risk of stomach issues. The physical therapy is definitely helpful. Overall I am satisfied with process. I was able to see a specialist the day following my call to schedule an appointment. Dr. Ulmer listened well & diagnosed my knee problem with surgery to follow.

Staff and Dr.Ulmer are professional and proficient. My damaged ACL & meniscus were confirmed and a course of action discussed. I was scheduled for the next available surgery window. I begin physical therapy shortly but all of the aspects thus far have been excellent. I highly recommend Dr.Ulmer & OSS.

Dr Ulmer was very thorough and explained the surgery to me, he even drew a picture of what he was going to do to repair my ruptured distal bicep tendon.

I had ACL surgery and Dr. Ulmer was my surgeon. He did a phenomenal job and I am now blessed to be back to sports.

Going to the doctor is never fun, but this was painless. He was professional and his staff was amazing. He took time explaining what was going on with my knee and what he felt we should do to address the issue.

Dr Ulmer was caring and kind and above all the best shoulder doctor in the area! His staff treated me with respect from start to finish. I will never see any other doctor for any shoulder or knee problems!

Dr. Ulmer and his entire staff were WONDERFUL!!!

Dr. Ulmer did 2 surgeries on my shoulder. He is very polite and professional. His bedside manner is great. He is a doctor that you can trust with whatever he has to say about your treating your orthopedic problems.

Dr. Ulmer is amazing! He is great at what he does and his level of care and concern was remarkable! He took the time to listen to how I felt. He told me everything I could possibly need to know about my injury and recovery. His staff has been amazing and very helpful. I have had no surprises during my recovery. I would recommend Dr. Ulmer 1000 times over!

Dr. ulmer performed my 2 arthroscopic surgeries on my knees and did excellent. I don't want to see anyone else but him for my orthopedic concerns.

Great dr, before, during and after surgery

Dr. Ulmer has been wonderful. Very caring and kind.

I was very pleased with Dr. Ulmer. He is very professional and informative exactly what you would expect from a Dr. I think he did a great job with my Rotator Cuff surgury.

I have referred by mother to Dr Ulmer.
