We travel here from Baltimore. Dr. Sankar is an amazing doctor. He is informative and cares about his patients.

I cannot thank this man enough. He saved my life when I was 11. I am coming up on ten years post-op and I owe it all to him. Fantastic doctor.

I have not a bad thing to say about him, just be thankful for what he does and try to fix or put people in normal life, bc I think he has the power given by Lord . My daughter ( she was diagnosed with hips dysplasia)is seen by him ,ever since she was 5 months. Now she’s 4 yo,at this specific time. Hopefully and always praying,she will be normal with no issues later in life with a surgery. Monitoring closely of course. I have not a bad thing to say about him, just be thankful for what he does and try to fix or put people in normal life, bc I think he has the power given by Lord . Appt was for 8:30. We arrived at 8:20 only to be told the doc went to the wrong office and won’t be here until 10. Arrived back at 10 and sat for a long time as he saw other patients. I was under the assumption that we would be first priority since we were greatly inconvenienced. I had to stand out and flag down a nurse to see when we would be seen next. And they kept seeing other patients first and the lady in charge was rude. I would think twice about seeing this doctor and office again. I understand things happened but we were understanding to come back but they way we were treated when we returned is unacceptable! Appt was for 8:30. Dr. Sankar is the bests orthopedic. I love him. I just got a brace and will be naming it after him!!

World class surgeon. Incredible bedside manner, and his dedication in studying rare pediatric hip deformities and mastering surgical techniques to correct them is nothing less than admirable. He seriously may be the most talented hip surgeon in the country. If you're at CHOP, you're at the right place. Doctor Sankar was my sons physician when he was diagnosed with legg perthes. We could not have been blessed with a better doctor. He truly is one of the best Doctors we have ever met. Thank you and you staff for helping our son get better.

Dr. Sankar is a great surgeon. He took the time to thoroughly examine me and give me the proper explanation to my condition. Would highly recommend!

My daughter has several medical issues beyond her DDH. I saw several surgeons before Dr. Sankar. Not one took as much time with me and got us in as quickly. Other surgeons were quick to suggest major surgeries, some far more invasive than others, all without detailed explanation of why. I understand that a Surgeons bedside manner is different than a Doctor's. And I'm not looking for a best friend, I'm looking for the best possible person to look after my child. Dr. Sankar didn't just take the time to explain DDH, but the surgeries, options and how her growth ( or in our case, lack there of ) would effect her before, during and after. 6 years ago, my daughter saw Dr. Sankar for urgent surgery for SCFE, discovered during her periodic screening of her scoliosis at CHOP (princeton). We went immediately to Philadelphia, where we met Dr. Sankar for the first time. He was immediately calming and we were filled with confidence. Surgery the next day went off without a hitch, despite area flooding and staff shortages, and follow up was excellent. She continued with him for her scoliosis treatment since then. Dr. Sankar is the best!

If I could I would give 0 stars. I'm 17 years old and have a hip condition where my tendon is overly tight and needs to be lengthened to elevate the pain. Its considered rare so it's not easy finding a doctor. I was referred to him by Rothman and was unhappy with the results. I have not been able to be a kid for 3 years because I am always in pain. He was very ignorant and did not care to listen to what I had to say at all. I would not reccommend him. I had to wait 2 hours to be seen and after waiting for him he couldn't give me the courtesy to listen to what I had to say. If I could I would give 0 stars. Dr. Sankar is great! He has been my daughters ortho doc since she was 6 months old! He's thorough and truly cares about the patients well being!
