Dr. Yama Osmanzai

Terrible. Uncaring doctor. Needs to retire.

Dr. Osmanzai was very professional and knowledgeable. He was very patient answering all my questions and explained my treatment with antibiotics. I am a RN and I feel Dr. Osmanzai is a wonderful doctor.

He is such a caring doctor and knows his stuff

Ordered extensive antibiotics to treat a disease for which he never diagnosed.

Inconsiderate!! My daughter was seen twice by this office. The second visit consisted of a nurse coming in to look at her chart and say "yeah, you don't have Lyme". That was it! Less then 1 minute, but a missed college class, 40 minute drive and a $50 copay was all that cost! Completely inconsiderate. I called the office, only to be told "we don't give diagnosis over the phone". In today's world of telepresence and virtual Doctor's appointments, they couldn't see their way to be considerate, and simply tell my daughter over the phone that she didn't have Lyme. Worst doctor experience I've ever had. Receptionist is rude, not helpful, didn't tell me they don't accept United Healthcare, so I had to pay $250 for a video appointment that last 5 minutes with the arrogant, condescending doctor. Go to any other doctor you can find!

If you have any possible other option, see a different doctor! Dr. Osmanzai is a complete narcissist who was repeatedly disrespectful to my Dad (his patient), my sister and myself. He pushed for unnecessary and dangerous diagnostic procedures against the medical advice of other doctors. He argued with and bad mouthed other doctors stating “you’re stuck with me and I’m in charge so they don’t matter”. And, he derives a sick pleasure from NOT advocating for his patient. WORST experience in my long history of working closely with medical professionals!

My son was admitted to Grand strand on 9/11 2019 19 years of age was admitted for pneumonia was in the hospital for 4 days apparently the above doctor visited with him a 9/13 9/13 received a bill on 3/2/2020 for two visits first visit 70 minutes $350 second Bill 35 minutes $300 son has no health insurance we settled with the hospital and all the other doctors involved they took him on as a charity case and forgave all bills I called the billing office they stated that they would discount the bill by 50% we sent them we sent a copy of the letter that grandstrand gave to us and all the other doctors and ask him to please consider no reply received another bill same amount again we called this time they said they would only discount 25% they don't seem to know what's going on over there never remember ever seeing this supposedly doctor my son makes maybe 700 a month being a busboy and at the present time he's laid off because all the restaurants are closed because of Corona I told my son if he can afford it send them $10 a month

Was seen by this Doctor 6 days after being treated for a Stapf infection I contracted following a spinal fusion. He assigned an amazing coordinator of care for home health & Rx company but his office never followed up; not once. All was well until being informed He cancelled a very important pre-arranged appoint for a dressing change/blood draw (even after his staff told me it would be potentially FATAL if I missed it). Sending me to the ER on Christmas Eve to fend for myself. Shameful

Dr. Osmanzai is ok. Lisa, who does scheduling, is far from helpful. My husband is very ill and needed a CAT scan of his lungs. Six days later, we still hadn't heard from Grand Strand to schedule. I called Dr. Osmanzai's office about this twice, leaving a msg that we had not heard from scheduling. She never called me back. Today, I finally got her and she said it was 1st come basis at Grand Strand; finally, she said she would call them and she hung up on me. We will not see him again.

I couldn't believe how quick he responded and located the infection in my husband. He is willing to make sure insurance covers all medication needed and top notch on visiting every day. Thank you so much Dr. O for taking care of my husband and seeing him through this.

I don't like Dr Osmanzai at all. First of all he doesn't seem to listen to me or believe anything I tell him. He's very rude and interrupts you while you're trying to talk to him. I'm still seeing him but I'm going to get my records and go to another Infectionist Disease doctor. His wife is his nurse and she's nice sometimes and very rude to me a lot. So um looking forward to find a good and a doctor that will sit and listen to me and believe the things I tell him or her. Will update soon.
