I had a great experience at Vein Center of Maryland with vein ablation procedures. Dr. Kumar was very thorough and willing to answer questions. The staff were all friendly and very effective at confirming coverage, scheduling, and assisting during my procedures. During my procedures, the staff made me comfortable and made sure that I wasn't in pain. This is a very experienced team, they know exactly what they're doing. The billing system in this office is a joke. They were not transparent about the cost of procedures. Charges were astronomical for the ambulatory operating room. Find another doctor.

The billing system in this office is a total sham. Simple vein procedures are performed in an operating room and billed separately than the vein surgery. Three 17 minute vein procedures were billed to my insurance company at 45k each, plus another $2300 and $800 for every other visit. I have an entire file of incredulous invoices and never got a straight answer about charges. Find another office with more ethical billing practices.

Dr. Kumar is wonderful. My family has been using him for years. Very knowledgeable and if he does not know the answer he will send you else where.
