Dr. Yoon J Cho

Dr Cho has been my doctor for about five years. I appreciate her candor.

Puts her personal beliefs before science. And if I would've listened to her...I'd be dead!

My grandmother has been a patient of Dr. Cho for over ten years. My grandmother gets anxiety when seeing too many different doctors, but we are hoping to find someone with more compassion and who actually likes their profession and isn't racist. She hates seeing my grandmother because she doesn't speak English.

Dr. Cho is very knowledgeable Physician. She listens and treats well all of your concerns. I strongly recommend her as your Primary Care Provider when you look for the one.

I want to be clear Dr. Cho is a very thorough doctor who is warm and understanding with her patients. The reason I cant give her 4 stars is her front office staff. The girl who sits up front does nothing. I was having severe neck pain and called on a Wednesday and explained my situation and all this girl would say is "she'll let the doctor know". This call was made around 10AM and as has been the experience in the past, she never calls back to update me, and this is exactly what occurred this time. So I called again and again and again...not my normal behavior, which should indicate the level of pain I was in...I received NO CALL back the entire day. The next morning at 9AM I left a message and at 10:19 still no call. So I called again and again she said nothing. I decided to drive over there and wait. Dr. Cho fit me in and I appreciate her for that but she definitely needs to fire this girl as we all know...first perception is the most important and she needs better first representation I want to be clear Dr. Cho is a very thorough doctor who is warm and understanding with her patients. Called 3 weeks in advance and gave the kid's age. Sent paperwork 2 weeks prior with kids age. They confirmed they had vaccines. Had me sign I would pay $25/kid if I was late or no show. Go to the appointment and they tell me "sorry" we don't treat kids and we don't have the vaccines... just like that.

Dr.Cho didn't tell me about my lab results for more then two weeks knowing about my bad simpthoms and that I was bitten by a tick. I suspect that I have lyme and went to be tested at her office on the 31 of July. I told her that I was bitten by a tick about months ago. Report from the lab was ready on the 4th of August. Dr.Cho told me that I have lyme on the 17th of August during my visit . Her office contacted me on the 11th of August , telling me that she wants to see me but telling me nothing about my lab results .Dr.Cho didn't think that it was urgent to call me as soon as she knew I have lyme desease . I lost 2 weeks ..I feel terrible and my simpthoms are worse. Dr.Cho insisted that she needs to see me for the appointment instead of calling me about my results and prescribinge antibiotics the same day she knew I had lyme. I complained to her office about that but got no explanation. Terrible , irresponsible doctor who does not care about her patients and cared only about money that she can get for her appointments. Someone in the reviews said this about 5 years ago, “Dr. Cho was even worse she tried to make me feel bad basically put me down for being overweight. I have never had anyone in life insult me that way let alone a doctor. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. I would never recommend this place to anyone.” I CANNOT AGREE MORE WITH THIS COMMENT. I went for something completely different and got fat shamed for a better lack of words. She said, “eating like that you’re never gonna loose weight.” I’m weight 127 and I am only 5 pounds overweight...I will be changing primary care doctors. I do not recommend this place at all. My last appointment with Dr Cho was on 23 July 2020. She is kind, compassionate, and efficient.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cho’s for years now. She listens and cares. Her compassion, professionalism and expertise are second to none. I couldn’t fathom going to a different doctor. With Dr. Cho I know that I am in good hands!

A word of caution: The doctor wore her mask on her chin when she came back into the room after I shared my anxiety about the general laxity of mask wearing in her office. I was shocked then but now I feel angry about it. It is not established that any individual vaccinated person cannot transmit the virus.

She never does a thorough examination. The front desk staff is often rude. They don’t even answer the phone properly. I have to ask if it is Dr. Cho’s office when I call because sometimes the just make an incomprehensible noise when they answer. My insurance information did not go through and I had to call them several times to resubmit it, it took almost a year because the front desk refused to submit it to the insurance company. The office is usually dirty.

Dr Cho is an excellent compassionate caring clinician. I am lucky to have her as my physician.

Dr.Cho told me that I have lyme on the 17th of August during my visit . I had taken steps to prepare myself for the appointment, including bloodwork (never having had to get it done before and having a fear of needles). The nurse called me back to measure my height, weight, and take my blood pressure. Then it was time for bloodwork. The nurse who was taking my blood told me that she didn’t eat breakfast that morning and her hands were visibly shaking. She was having trouble getting the band tied around my arm and had trouble finding my vein. I focused my attention on the computer screen that was off to one side of her as she inserted the needle into my arm. After a short time, I safely assumed the worst was almost over...until she moved. Twice. She couldn’t reach her cotton pad that would be needed to stop the bleeding and there was blood both splattered on the floor and running down my arm. She replied "Oops" and asked me to hold the gauze while she took more of the small cotton pads and wiped down my arm and floor. I also noticed that the blood had also run down onto my pants (thank goodness I was wearing black that day). She cleaned up some of the blood with the small pads (the blood started to stain the wood), put on a bandaid, and asked me then to go down the hallway to the bathroom to wash off my arm. I did and came back to wait in one of the rooms for the doctor. After 10 minutes, I heard the doctor go to the receptionist and ask for my paperwork that I had filled out three days before my actual appointment. THEY COULDN’T FIND IT! The documents that contained my personal information; MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER...missing. The doctor dismissed the urgency to find it and instead came to see me in the room. She had pulled them up onto her laptop screen and started asking me the typical questions. She then asked me about why I wasn’t on birth control despite not wanting children and I replied that I work in a Catholic school. I told her that I don’t want to be on birth control and it wouldn’t be covered by my insurance even if I wanted to be. She then made a disparaging comment about me being a Catholic and wondered why I don’t just leave my job at the school and go to the public school system so that I could get the benefits needed to be on birth control. I told her I loved my job and left it at that. We then got into the second reason why I came in: weight loss strategies. I shared with the doctor that I have been walking at least 10,000 steps each day and tried eating more healthy overall. She didn’t seem impressed by my attempts to better myself. She was actually quite condescending towards me as our conversation continued. Dr. Cho then told me that she has tried every diet there is and that I should either be on a plant-based diet or a low carb diet. I told her that a plant-based diet wouldn’t work for my lifestyle but have had success in losing weight on a low-carb diet for my wedding. She still pressed for the plant-based diet. Dr. Cho then preceded to show me pictures of Bob Harper and Dr. Neal Barnard. I was confused as to why she was showing me these pictures and continued to ask her about what I could do to lose weight. She pressed for the plant diet. At that point I gave up and just agreed with her. At the end of the appointment, I walked back to my husband who was patiently waiting for me in the waiting area and we gathered my things to leave. On the way out, the doctor came to ask me about my insurance deductible and didn’t bother to introduce herself to my husband or give me time to do so for her. After getting the answer she desired, she said “ok” and walked away. We then left the office. I have never met a doctor who was so unprofessional or a staff that was so incompetent. I love how real Dr. YOON Cho is. People who are in denial or only like hearing WHAT they want to hear obviously are going to have a problem, but a doctor isnt supposed to be your mom or dad. Theres no sugar coating your health. DR. Yoon Cho has been respectful, attentive, and takes her time with every patient. I dont mind waiting ( ive only ever waited 10 mins) and knowing shes giving us all her attention and professional experience is VERY reassuring. I love how real Dr. YOON Cho is. Very thorough and caring doctor and friendly staff. I highly recommend her.

Her staff lost my paperwork that I filled out three days prior to my appointment. The nurse who did my bloodwork left a splatter of my blood on the floor, all down my arm, and on my pants. My arm looked like it had been sliced by the needle, not injected. Dr. Cho, herself, was very unprofessional and questioned my personal life/career choices. She did not seem interested in what I was telling her.

Everyone who works there is very impolite and rude talking to their patients. Minimum wait time from you appointment time is 30minutes if you are lucky to hour or more. They just squeeze in patients every 15 to 30 minutes. When patients ask questions secretaries nurses and doctor replies showing their upset faces and tone of voice "it's not my fault" Very dissatisfied of this place but have no choice because of my whole family goes there as pcp. But knowing that there are lack of Pcps they are acting that way thinking that patients really have no choice. I actually had a lot of fun during my visit. Dr. Cho is really enjoyable to be around and she offered me great advice.

Amazing practice....I have been seeing Dr. Cho for years now, always the same care, very calm and collected. speaks to you like a person....I wouldn't go anywhere else....

Dr. Cho has taken care of my entire family for over a decade now. She knows what she is doing and has no problem being direct but it is out of a genuine interest in keeping us all healthy and happy. She cares about her patients, looks at the whole picture, and has been someone my family has consistently been able to count on for all of our medical treatments/evaluations. I highly recommend her. I concur with the writer who said it was a great experience. Dr. Cho is brilliant, and she is diligent about my family's health care. In addition, if she can not fix the problem, she has made some excellent referals. Her staff knows what to do and throughly checks you in to the office. They also know about insurance. You could not ask for better care and treatment as far as I am concerned. Dr. Cho spends quality time with each of my twins and myself upon our visits. I highly recommend Dr. Yoon Cho. I requested a checkup with Dr. Cho and thought this was what we had scheduled. I showed up and she indicated this was a "meet and greet," and she insisted that I come back (in 6 weeks!) for the actual checkup that I had tried to schedule right away. She took no interest in me at all and did not even listen to my heart or lungs with a stethoscope (even though I am just recovering from a severe attack of bronchitis). Avoid this doctor like the plague!

I have been with Dr Cho for many years. She was first to identify lymphnodes that later turned out to be cancer. Had she not identified these tiny bumps on my face the out come could have been worse. I sought treatment early from an oncologist and now in remission for 11 months.

I don't usually leave any feedback unless I had really really bad experience. Please don't waste your time going to this doctor. She will talk to you without looking at your eye. She just looks her laptop all the time. When you ask her a question, she will probably first laugh then answer your question which makes your feeling really AWKWARD. Please look for another doctor.

Wrost doctor ever. Had terrible back pain went in to get check out, and what did doctor do nothing just look at me laid me cracked my back very bad, percribed dumb ibuprofen and called me fat. Defently changing my doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Cho since she first started her practice. She is by far the most down to earth doctor who doesn't treat you as next!! She listens to my concerns and prescribes medicines accordingly. She's been the only doctor who has found a medication that actually works on my migraines too. To add to all of that, she is able to perform manipulations and can realign me without me having to go to a chiropractor. By far the best doc around.

The best medical experience I have ever had. Dr Cho is compassionate and is sincere in the care she provides to her patients. She is thorough and does not rush through appointments with the usual hi and here is your prescription that we so often see today. THis practice defines what a Family Medicine setting should be, catered to the needs of the whole person and the environment they live. Very friendly and efficient staff. Office is very nicely decorated and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Cho is very through and seems to care very much about my overall health and she doesn't rush through appointments like most doctors.
