Zoubin Alikhani

Dr Alikhani has been caring for my husband for several years. I believe he has saved his life many times. My husband has AFIB AND VFIB, a defibrillator and a pacemaker and Dr. Alikhani has kept him going through all of this! He is wonderful!

I found Dr. Alikhani through a telephone call with a business person who said, “Dr. Alikhani saved my life.” That is exactly what I said in reference to my very first cardiologist, “She saved my life.” After several years with another cardiologist I determined it was time to find someone else. I have found Dr. Alikhani to be a warm, caring & compassionate physician. I felt very comfortable with him on day one; he didn’t “talk down” to me, he listens, answers my questions, responds to whatever I say or ask, and considers what I am saying and involves me (when appropriate) in determining my treatment. I have never left an appointment with him when I felt I did not receive appropriate attention, decision-making, etc. He always has a warm, pleasant smile and I can go on and on. At the same time that I switched to Dr. Alikhani I also switched two other specialists and I am very happy with the decisions. Thank you Dr. Alikhani and your staff; especially at St. Josephs. Dr Alikhani and his associate told me I needed a pacemaker. Unfortunately I didn't seek a 3rd Opinion and has the surgery only to feel horrible. He prescribed medication that made me feel worse. He refused to adjust pacemaker. My blood pressure got very low and I was lightheaded all the time. I had pacemaker syndrome and he refused to treat it. I fired him and his associate and found a wonderful electrophysiologist and cardiologist, both of whom said they would NEVER have reccommended me for a pacemaker. I was taking a medication that was making my heart rate low. Once that medication was stopped my heart rate went back to normal. Had they stopped that medication that they prescribed I never would have had the pacemaker implanted. Run to a different practice! Dr Alikhani and his associate told me I needed a pacemaker. He ablated my atrial fibrillation and I have been very pleased with his care and also bedside manner. Highly recommended!

He performed an Ablation on me almost 2 years ago and all went excellent. I have only had to have a slight medication increase with no further Ablation to date. His staff is excellent, especially Fran.

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr A. I have a complex congenital heart condition and had to have 3 cardiac surgeries when I was a kid. Since then I have been dealing with an arrhythmia called ventricular tachycardia. I had 2 prior ablations in Atlanta and also New York but my problem would return shortly and I was told the ablations had failed. Then I was referred to Dr Alikhani who spent time listening to me and reviewing all my records in details. He explained what my condition is and offered to ablate me and although very hesitant initially, I agreed to proceed. That was one of my best decisions! I have been arrhythmia free since. WOW! Dr. Alikhani is amazing! He is knowledgable and kind. He reviewed all of the paperwork that was provided prior to our appointment. He asked thoughtful questions to better understand the issues and provided a true approach to possibly finally finding a solution. Outstanding bedside approach and office manner. For this I give him a 5! I agreed to have Dr. Alikhani implant a Confirm Rx Insertable Cardiac Monitor device, but had numerous delays with getting registered. Only giving 2 stars.

Doctor Alikhani and his team (Lea & Fran) are very diligent. Doctor is an essential part of the Cardiac health in Georgia. His knowledge and skill is far superior too that of many other electrophysiologists. I highly recommend Dr. Alikhani.

Dr. Alikhani is superior in his knowledge, medical skills and thoroughness within his specialty. His staff is well trained and thorough and adds to the highly professional experiences I obtained as a heart patient needing stents. His diagnostic abilities are life saving and state of the medical art. I fully recommend Dr, Alikhani for anyone requiring heart diagnosis and remedies, He take time with the patient to resolve any questions and he is a great human being.

I had atrial fibrillation and had seen two other cardiologists in the past. Finally I was referred to Dr. Alikahni and he did an ablation on me that made a huge difference! I feel so much better and I am so happy with the results. Highly recommend him! His staff are also very professional and helpful.

Misdiagnosed me and I ended up with a pacemaker I didn't need.

We got an appointment quickly, easy to find office. Didn't have to wait long in waiting room. We were attended to quickly. Dr. Alikhani was so nice! He explained everything clearly and some things twice as I was taking notes. He was very attentive to my mother and made her feel at ease. The experience was definitely positive.

Took very good care of me.

Doctor. Alikhani is the third heart doctor I have had since I had a pacemaker in 2015. He reads my file, listens to my answers to his questions, explains what he feels I need and conveys that he cares. I trust him and feel better than I have with other doctors.

Dr. Alikhani has provided me with great care in diagnosis and treatment of afib. He is compassionate and thorough in his exams and spends as much time as necessary during exams to ask and answer questions. He has performed several cardiac procedures on me and has been diligent in getting me back to normal sinus rhythm. He is genuinely concerned with the health and well being of his patients.

Honest, straightforward, competent. Also, speaks to patient as one person to another as opposed to some condescension that if often evident in the medical field. Excellent staff with same qualities: "we care."

Dr Alikhani saw me on short notice after speaking to my doctor, Dr Dorsey. He was very comforting and patient and took time to answer any questions I had. I am grateful for his time and his willingness to help me get better.

My first encounter was quite positive. The office staff was helpful and Dr. Alikhani was clear in his explanations of my case and allowed for questions. My subsequent visit for tests was professionally explained done by his technical staff. I look forward to the follow-up in 4 days.

Dr. Alikhani truly cares about the well-being of his patients. He makes himself available for consulting with other specialists as well as being able to translate medspeak into everyday language.

Dr. Alikhani is truly a life saver. I had a very unusual and unexpected emergency situation occur in April 2015. My heart stopped over three dozen times. Dr. Alikhani was the only one who accurately diagnosed me. He stayed with me and my family through very tough times in the hospital and continues to treat me today. His bedside manner is outstanding. He makes you feel like you are part of his family. He is smart, caring, always professional and yes, a true life saver. Highly recommended.
