Worst doctor ever started my son on medication that sent him straight to the ER doctor's there was like he should have never gave those meds to my son the two meds did not go together made him go insane Today he is fine thank God and getting the help he needs Update this happened 6yrs ago the reason I decided to share my story because I ran into A prior patient of yours at the doctor's office Who also had a bad experience with you.

DR Alexander Babayants is taking care of my wife as she has some mental difficulty. I am very satisfied with the results, I could not find better caring and professional doctor. I highly recommend Dr Babayants.

Dr. Babayants has been taking care of my father in Clara Maass. He is so thorough, kind and compassionate. He talked through everything with my family making sure we had every question answered. Gave us all of his information to contact him whenever we needed him. Amazing Dr

Dr Alex Babayants is very personal, great listener & empathetic to the concerns of my problems. Not to mention he works seven days a week! He treats me as if I am part of his personal family. He answered all my questions and never brushed me away. I really wish I can find somebody like him back home in Virginia Beach. A true stand-up guy which is rare these days.

I changed my rating because I Bollinger go to him I felt I had to give him a good rating to continue to get my medical. He reduced my meds because I refused to get an implant in my arm which would have been done in his non-sterile office. I watched him having shady looking meetings and just gave people scripts. Pharmacists wouldn't take his scripts which was sad because there was a pharmacy in the hospital he operated out of. Anyone giving him good reviews are either his family staff friends or people that just want their meds so they do like I did give him five stars but put no summary or accolades. I would give give 0 stars he lost his license to give controlled meds at one point and seen like he was in hiding. Couldn't find him anywhere. On my first and last visit to him, he cut the dosage of my antidepressant in HALF without even informing me. He knew from reading my psych records that I had a very long history of major depression and suicidality. After about 10 days on his regimen I became profoundly depressed and didn’t know why. By chance I looked at the prescription bottle and was shocked to see he had prescribed a sub-clinical dosage. I felt helpless and violated. When I texted him about his “treatment “ without my consent, he nonchalantly told me to take more Celexa. He had not even bothered to do a medically required taper. I could have killed myself as a result of this doctor’s caprice. He should lose his license. And he doesn’t deserve the single star I gave him. I only did it so I could post this most egregious and disreputable account of his “practice”. Dr. Babayants just wrote me in response to my review, attempting to claim I had the wrong doctor and that he had no record of my visit. It was at St. Michael’s in late 2017 and I can produce the referral from my primary care. He mentioned that he “has not practiced psychiatry in some years.” My reply to him, if he sees it here, is thank god: you are woefully unfit for your profession. “First, do no harm.” You did plenty to me, violating every rule of ethics and rudimentary knowledge of reducing a drug dosage. You had a duty to inform me. I’m not surprised you lost my records; it fits with how your other reviewers describe you, writing on torn scraps of paper, etc. But negligence is one thing; malice aforethought another. You very nearly drove me to suicide. I shall read your court papers posted online with relish. now what's the options pay out of pocket or the meth clinic ????????For all the complainers his biggest mistake was never turning anyone away. He only did good and wanted good and if anyone wanted to stop he'd help. Was told expectations were too high regarding having a doctor listen to the patient. Was very quick to change medications and only answered questions if you came into the office which was another copay. Only communication was through text message/e-mail but was literally one or two word responses.

This guy is horrible. He is a very nice guy and seems to be very caring. So when I first called him for my mother I was excited to hear that I found someone who may actually care about her well being. Then we went to the appointment. He was taking notes on a scrap paper...like a torn piece of paper. One of the first questions he asked was something along the lines of, "What meds do you want me to give her." I was like, "WTH". He made no mention or suggestion of psychotherapy for her, which she obviously needs. At the end of the visit, it was evident to me that he was just there to prescribe meds, and get you out. I would suggest staying away from him if you're looking for a psychiatrist that will actually take his time with you. Dr babayants, has work hard to help me with my addiction with the vivitrol shot and med management...he's a lil ruff around the edges but once you get to no him he's really an awesome Dr, and pretty cool.. his office assistant Alexia is the best she help out with what ever you need .... Thanks guys

You are seen in order from who showed up first even if you have an “appointment”. You can drop by at any time if you need to be seen but only get simple responses to text/emails such as “ok” or “come now”. I’ve waited 10 minutes to an hour and a half. Dr doesn’t understand what is Being explained to him. . Very small waiting area. Stated my expectations were to high by wanting someone who listens and explains. Belittles you and turns things you say around.

This man only communicates through very rude text message conversations, such as "what you need" or "?". For someone that supposedly specializes in mental health he lacks some very basic human communication skills. Due to his inability to conversate as a professional medical practitioner, It was simply impossible to schedule an appointment with him.

I have seen Dr Babayants for years, he is always caring, kind, yet strict, makes sure you are strong, and appropriately concerned. I strongly recommend him to anyone struggling in any area of their life, he will help you to, get yourself back to where you need to be to be productive, and happy.

I find that Dr. Babayants is very good. He takes care of his patients. I recently took Probuphine treatment and I can say I have No complaints. Dr. Babayants, show patients, caring and consideration for my well being. He's a very good Doctor. Whenever I call for an appointment, his staff accommodate me and make sure that the time schedule meets my approval. His nursing staff is very good as well. They show you excellent hospitality. In the difficult field of mental health Dr. Babayants does everything in his power to help you, work with you, respond rapidly and regardless of how many times you fall he is there to help you get up but is stern as well. He is rude, unprofessional, rushes people out in under 5 minutes and often (8 out of 10) times writes scripts with missing refills. He dosen't care about his patiences, all he cares about is money. Charges $150.00 cash for a 3 minute session in which he spends typing and texting After 4 prescription in one year, all missing refills, then he doesn't approve it over the phone with the pharmacy and tells you to come in then tries to charge you and extra $50 for his mistake. Avoid him at all costs.

Dr. Babyants is a true professional. I have been in his care for 5 years. He is always been there when I need him, no matter the time...day or night. I recently changed medications and he contacted me daily to see how it was working out. In my experience the only people who have problems with him are those who do not understand the word "no" and have been spoiled with other pay to play doctors. Dr. Babayants does not entertain such shenanigans nor does he run a charity.

I have had about 3 visits with the doctor, I like him, he is direct and to the point. He can read people by observation and questions asked. I also speak frankly and like that he is direct and to the point. Being only about 5 weeks into addressing my issues, I feel I'm getting better. I'm thankful to have Dr. Babayants treating me.

I went to see this doctor around one and a half years ago when he was on Jefferson Avenue and he was horrible. All he cared about was money and he did not accept my Medicaid. In order to get more medication he makes you come every 7-10 days. I don't know how this is legal by any means. he has no compassion and never gives you a scheduled appointment. Thankfully, I found another doctor and am very happy now with my care. Avoid him and he doesn't accept insurance!

I have been seeing Dr.B for over a year and half. He is a great guy that understands and listened to my problems. He definitely helped save ny life. Treats with respect as long as you do same. Here to help you so don't lie and be open so he can help the best way fir you.

Dr. Babayants is unprofessional, selfish & completely inappropriate as my family experienced during a recent hospital stay. His response to all my questions was “I don’t remember” or “I don’t know the details.” He made sure to say he was “very busy” & didn’t have the time to be spending talking with me. Dr. Babayants is not someone I would ever choose for medical care. Being ignorant, unprofessional, & undedicated to the patient, especially for a child, is grounds for dismissal in my book.

I called and left a message regarding my issue and his answering machine said text for easy reply. He replied late in the evening almost 10pm. I asked him FIVE times did he take my insurance because my insurance company suggested him. I asked him once via a voice mail message on his answering machine, four times during text, and once in an email following our texting. His communication, reading comprehension, listening skills were atrocious. He was brief, cold, and forceful. After briefly chatting on text and him giving me his email I was still trying to get my questions asked since I answered all his questions. After all his rudeness and making an appointment to see him he replied in an email saying "sorry" "cant help" "google" with no complete sentences or explaining why. I would severely avoid this guy initially I thought I might have text the wrong number because his behavior and demeanor was so crude. Dr. Babayants is great and the most understanding person. He listens to your issues, not just hears them. He is there to help you. He will help in in anyway possible along the guidelines. I wouldn't give him up for another physc unless I had too. HE IS THE BEST AT WHAT HE DOES!!!!

This?guy is a mess; avoid. Despite seeing unfavorable reviews on Healthgrades & Vitals, I reached out because I was drawn to his mission statement about his desire to help people. All he wants is your money on his time. He only schedules via single word texts. Charges $150 a visit, doesn't take insurance and spends about 2-4 minutes per visit. Expect others to hear everything you're saying as the door remains open while others sit outside waiting. No appointments, show up and hope he does too.
