Dr. Alexander Doctoroff

This office showed poor patient relations. I called no less than 10+ times to learn of my biopsy results and for information on my skin at the biopsy site. Each time, I could only reach a voice mail. In addition to calling the Vineland office 5+ times, I tried multiple different locations with same results. It was only after leavinga voice mail and waiting 5 days did I get a response. They quickly answer calls and are very eager to make an appointment, schedule a full body skin exam, but once they have your money they show no signs they care at all about you or your well-being. They should know when a biopsy is performed, any decent person let alone a medical "professional" has the responsibility to know and understand the concern a patient would have regarding the results. I even tried sending an email, but they make it impossible to communicate and only do when they find it convenient. This is most greedy practice we have seen. My wife went for some small mole removal 1st time 2 years back- we paid $125 or so out of packet as it was deemed cosmetic. Went back for same mole removal recently- was charged another $125 and then she asked doctor about some rashes on hands (for which this practice recommended medicine in last visit and charged $150 and medicine wasn't working). Dr. said there is no other medicine- barely 10 second response and they billed us separately for asking that 1 question to doctor for which no new medicine or prescription was provided by doctor. Simply ridiculous. I wont recommend this practice. Dr Alex is good but there receptionist to billing department are too much.

I went in for a skin check and needed some things removed. The skin check wasn't thorough and he wouldn't remove what I had requested instead referred me to his PA which would have required another appointment and would not go through insurance.

The doctor made me and my son feel extremely rushed during visit and saw us for less than 5 minutes. I felt like he did not really listen to our concerns. He gave me medicine for fungus and told me it will improve and so far after 3 Months no change. Terrible experience.

I booked an appointment with another doctor at the facility and without notifying me, when I show up, I see Dr.Doctoroff instead. Spent a max of 5 minutes with me and dismissed my concerns. The office where the procedures were done was not clean.

Worst doctor ever !!! Six months ago i was treated w cortisone shot for a cyst i have on my face After five visits he told me it will go away on its own Untill this day cyst still on my face so i made a appointment to find out what the doctor had to say After one and half hour at the waiting room i was told that Dr had a surgery to perform and it would take longer .I was waiting up to two hrs Unprofessional stuff with the worst customer service and the doctor doesn’t care !!!Do not waist time and money here

Excellent Dr. been with him for many years. He is compassionate, does not rush, answers all of my questions and concerns and overall best Dermatologist in the area. Highly recommend!

I have used Doctor Doctoroff in the past to remove a very large vascular growth on the corner of my lip. I was filming an important documentary and discussed my concerns with him about scarring with him. He promised me he would do his best to not leave a scar. He completed the procedure with minimal pain and I cannot believe the amazing work he did. I am scheduling my next appointment now, I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a dermatologist. Sometimes the name says it all!

I think that Dr. Doctoroff is the best and it starts with his office and clinical staff.Your first point of contact is his front office and I have never witnessed a caring group of professionals. All technicians, PA and Dr. Doctoroff are the best around. I highly recommend this practice.

He is a disgrace to the profession. A smart man but more of a business sense then medical grace. In my experience he has very little compassion for his patients & is more concerned with what high priced treatment option he can get them to sign up for. Unfortunately, it took me thousands of dollars, tons of pain, discomfort, & lots of wasted time only to be physically scarred for life before I learned better. Writing this I hope I prevent someone else from having to learn it the hard way.

(part 2) I would not have made another appointment for nothing. At my first visit, no one said the moles are not covered by insurance or that this is the cost out of pocket. His first visit was so quick because he had standing room only in the office, it was so packed and he was behind. My next visit, the waiting room was empty, he came in relaxed, sat down to speak to me and tell me no.....not covered, Very upset he didn't tell me at my first visit. I feel like bait and switch. bring them in,

Dr. Doctoroff is very knowledgeable, but my visits are never consistent. Some days he explains things thoroughly, while other times he’s so overbooked he leaves his assistant to “explain the rest.” It’s a mad dash to get patients in and out and it shows. What happened to quality over quantity? During my last visit, while i was speaking he would delegate diagnosis and words that i didn’t understand to his assistant. Just cutting me off leaving me wondering who he was talking to. He can do better.

Terrible doctor, not concerned for his patients at all . Does not take the time and misdiagnosed a spot on my back . Total time spent was 4 min !!! Referred me to see his esthetician at a different location !! Don’t understand it ......walked out of his office with a stupid panflet that’s didn’t solve my problem at all!! I

I have been seen by Dr. Doctoroff on two occasions. Being a nervous patient and not a fan of needles, he was completely sympathetic, told a few jokes to help put me at ease. I understood the procedures but I asked him not to let me know exactly what he was doing, he respected my wishes. My procedures were done with little to no discomfort and me an extremely happy patient. The staff if friendly and professional. The best medical practice I have ever visited. I would definitely recommend Dr. D.

I was referred to Dr. Doctoroff by my attending physician for an exam and consultation a couple of years ago. While the exam was not rushed, it was a bit cold. I don't remember any sit down consult. I had a sample taken testing. I never received a call as to the results, having to inquire to my MD. Certainly this may have been my MD's fault too but It would have been nice to have been included in any inter office communication regarding my test results. Sign of the times maybe? all ok now!

The doctor made me feel extremely rushed during visit and saw me for less than 5 minutes. I felt like he did not really listen to my concerns. He injected medication into my face very little warning and did not tell me what it was. There was also no explanation of possible consequences and now I may be dealing with a scar. If I knew, I would have opted out of the injection. Terrible experience, will not be going back.

Dr. Doctoroff and the physicians assistant Amanda Tirado provided no help. They told me a regime to treat my baby's eczema and when I explained that I was already doing exactly what they told me to do, Dr. Doctoroff just said that it will work. Well I explained that 4 months of this regime hasn't been working. He was useless and was not open to other courses of action to treat eczema. I was highly disappointed.

I highly recommend Dr. Doctoroff for any and all dermatological needs. He is an extremely experienced physician, yet one who takes the time to explain things in detail to you, and has a wealth of knowledge about treatment options and modalities. He saved my life by detecting a malignant melanoma in time for removal and complete recovery. Dr. Doctoroff is friendly, down to earth, and puts you at ease the first time you meet him. Great, courteous office staff and easy scheduling of appointments.
