Dr. Derick is friendly, confident and very knowledgeable. I am pleased with the care I received from her. I continue to go to Derick Dermatology even though Dr. Derick is no longer seeing patients. Every doctor I have seen at Derick Dermatology has been wonderful!

I went to the Arlington Heights office for a consultation for a cosmetic spot on my cheek. I was seen promptly by the esthetician, my spot was seen by the dermatologist to confirm that is was cosmetic and not skin cancer, and then several options given, with a through review of potential side effects. I then had a laser treatment done with excellent results. My home recovery was exactly as described, so no surprises with the healing curve. I felt very comfortable and well cared for.

Not likely.... Bad customer service. This morning my 16 year old daughter had a 7:50 appointment. We drove separately, so that I could leave for work, and she could head home after the appointment. We got separated and she got stuck behind a train. She is also a new driver and drives slower. Needless to say she arrived 10 minutes late. The office would not let us keep her appointment. The appointment was a follow-up appointment for her acne medication, and would have taken less than 10 minutes.

I made an appointment with the Elgin office and arrived before the appointment was scheduled. There were other people in the waiting room while I was there but I was the last to be called. Then I was told the PA, Brittany, did not have time to give me the checkup I scheduled. This is an uncaring office and beware of going to them. I drove from another city only to be told they would not give me the exam I scheduled.

I am a health professional myself and when I called to make an appointment I found the way I was treated to be very rude and condescending . They seem much more interested in billable procedures and money than in me of my personal needs . I have touched base with other health professionals and found similar sentiments . I would not recommend any if my patients to go to their offices unless your interested in an office centered in policy and how much they can charge you

Her staff is by far more professional, she is super arrogant & for what??? She needs to work on that bedside manner. I mean really, someone looking for a cancer screening is feeling scared enough. Super vain, without the goods to back it up. Never again will I step foot in her office!
