I’ve heard wonderful things about Shultz, but personally haven’t gotten to see her. Her office staff seems super nice. The first time I tried seeing her she denied me as a patient because my first rheumatologist would only say I have fibromyalgia… I would think she’d look at my records and see that he refused physicals, imaging, and follow up and more extensive labs. I forced my 1st rheumatologist to send me somewhere else because I KNEW something was wrong. I was diagnosed in Wichita Falls for Ankylosing Spondylitis, HLAB27 negative… because I was negative for a gene…. She denied me again (I was switching because it was closer and I’m going through divorce so that means insurance change).. You can have HLAB27 and not AS and same is true the other way around. I have imaging results and labs that show how I was found diagnosed with AS. Maybe she’s not confident in treating AS? I’m not sure, but I was shocked that’s why I was denied.

She is the best dr I have ever been to.she take time with you and listen

Worst arthritis Dr we have seen. My daughter and husband have seen a lot of arthritis Drs. and she was by far the worst. Did not look at past blood work or x-rays from previous Dr.s and did none of her own. Go elsewhere save your time and money and go see a real Dr.

I have had several rheumatologists in the past and she is by far the best. Excellent doctor with fantastic bedside manner and willing to answer any question you may have without making you feel silly for asking.

You've came to right place.

My physician in Lawton sent me a Rheumatologist in OKC first. After my first visit I knew this doctor and her staff weren't for me. While I had waited in an EMPTY waiting room to see the first doctor, I was seen within 15 minutes of my arrival to see Dr. Shultz. While the PA at the first office kept saying she had faxed necessary info to the specialty pharmacy, I was turned down for my script because they hadn't received anything from her. I get them FREE now.

I would like to say one thing I've been going to Dr. Schultz for over 13 yrs she was a God send to me. But I can't say how I feel right now. The lady that works at the front desk is not very personable . And every time I would talk to her about my meds she treated me like I was some kind of drug addict and about 3 or 4 times my meds were never sent to me or the pharmacy I had to call to remind her that they never came. But not one time did I complain. This last memorial weekend I called on the 29, a Tuesday, to request a refill for my pain patches. I told her I only had one left and it would last till Thursday. They are closed on Friday so I never got my meds till the next Wednesday because of the holiday weekend. So needless to say, I went through full blown withdrawals which I have never experienced and pray to God I never have to go through again. It was very painful sweat and chill pain and severe headache and vomiting it was terrible. So when I called the office they told me that they sent the script which was not true. I asked to speak to Dr. Schultz the lady said very hatefully "no you may not" so I asked to speak to her nurse she said no she was in clinics and the dr was with a patient. All I wanted was to ask how long these withdrawals would last she was very curt. So I asked her to have the nurse call me back. I have no idea what this lady told the nurse but the nurse was kinda of short with me to. She told me that I could wear my patches for 3 days and I told her that I have been wearing them every 3 days and Dr. Shultz knew that. She said that's not what the script says. Well I don't write the prescription all I know is I take my meds just like there prescribed. I told her that the gal at the front desk was kinda rude she said "no she wasn't I was standing right there and heard her side of the conversation" if she was, then the lady lied she wasn't in clinic and if she was standing there why couldn't I just talk to her? She was always a sweet heart but not that day, she was also very curt. For me that was totally out of character for her and they were very unprofessional she had always been very sweet. So after going through a horrific weekend of withdrawals. The day after I got my script I received a letter from dr Schultz office telling me she was no longer going to treat me for being disrespectful to her staff. Not sure what I said that was so disrespectful but I know for sure that they dropped the ball on my script and I'm smart enough to know that the high powered meds I was on that should be weened off of if not just cold turkey that was terrible. So I have no idea whether Dr. Schultz knows all this but apparently she doesn't care about hearing both side of the story. She's a wonderful dr. and I appreciate all the care she gave me for all those years but I can't help but to think she wasn't caring about me after my loyalty for all those years. The gal she has at the front desk is incompetent and is not a person to be working with the public I still think Dr. Schultz is a wonderful dr. But be very aware of her front desk help. I'm 62 yrs old I've been to many Dr. in my lifetime and had lots of surgeries not one time have I ever been accused of being disrespectful to any staff or Dr.s or anyone. Not really in my character to even write something like this but this was so unjust. But I feel like Ive been accused of something and found guilty without having my side told. Very unfortunate but I guess a sign of the times. They need to have a little more compassion and empathy if there gonna be in the medical field. She is amazing caring physician. Best doctor I have ever been to!

Dr Shultz has been a lifesaver to me and she has helped me in many ways, listened to me when I felt like I had nobody to talk to and treats me as an entire person. I really appreciate her in so many ways for helping me in many ways so I can manage to get my life back together and live life again!

Been with her for over 13 yrs never had a problem then she gets this new gal at front desk that is very curt and unprofessional. She claims I was disrespectful to her and I have no idea what about. So Dr. Schultz let me go not even hearing my side. I've never been rude to anyone in the medical profession. I glad to not be going back I've found a wonderful new rheumatologist. With a very pleasant staff. Thank god.

Allow me to explain the nature of this review, before you jump to any harsh conclusions. This singular star does not reflect the level of care, or the depth of intelligence, provide by Dr. Shultz herself. Rather, this review is for the two administrative assistants I spoke with on the phone earlier today, while trying to refill my wife's medication and schedule her an appointment. My wife was laid off late last year, and has been unable to schedule a new appointment for some time given our lack of medical insurance. Thankfully, her lupus had been in a period of remission during this time. Recently however, her lupus has flared up again. Since we now have insurance, we decided it was best she see Dr. Shultz and finally refill her prescription that she had been out of for several months. The first time I called in, I spoke with a rather terse woman. No big deal, I'm sure working in a medical office is hard. I explained my situation to her and she checked on it. My wife had asked me to fill two prescriptions for her, and schedule her an appointment. When the woman got back on the phone she told me, rather bluntly, that " she had just received a refill in July (she hadn't, had the woman done her due diligence she would have seen that that prescription was never received due to cancellation of the insurance that covered it) and that Dr. Shultz had not prescribed her the other one. This was a mistake on our part, due to the autoimmune nature of my wife's disease she, unfortunately, has multiple Doctors and multiple prescriptions. However, it was the implication in the woman's voice that really upset me. That emphasis on "she" and the tone that suggested we were pill heads looking to get a fix. The drug in question is for arthritis pain, surely not something someone would look to get high with, but I digress. After she made the appointment she hung up without so much as a "thank you" or "goodbye." I let my wife, who was at work, know what had transpired. She asked me to call them back and inform them that the previous prescription never made it to her due to the change, and asked if they could send a new one to Walgreens. So I called back. This time I spoke with a different woman. Without even mentioning my wife's name I told her that I had called in a few minutes prior and asked to get her script refilled, she said "hang on" and put the phone down, she did not put it on hold. While I couldn't make out the words that were being exchanged with the "nurse" I could make out that tone again. The same one as before. When she returned to the phone she explained that the nurse would refill the prescription ONCE, but she "wasn't getting anymore, you understand? Not unless she makes that appointment." Again, there was that implication. Now, I understand that Doctor's offices need to be on the lookout for people faking illness for prescription medication. But my wife has a documented condition with the office, a serious one at that. The medication we were looking to refill wasn't of the "get you high kind," at least to my knowledge. The indignant nature of of these two, supposedly professional, women was astonishing. Never in my life have I felt so disrespected. I honestly wanted to complain to the office manager, or the Dr. herself. But at the time my frustration was overwhelming and would have only escalated things. So I am writing this review here, I would have liked to send this as a private email to Doctor Shultz, however her email address is not listed anywhere online. I would suggest that, in the future, these two women practice a little more professional courtesy and a lot more human empathy. Dr Schultz, is a wonderful, warm Dr. Her bedside manner is matched by her experience, knowledge and training! I've had several rheumatologists, in a few different states who were good, but not I feel lucky to have her! When I moved to Ok., I was extremely fortunate to get into her busy practice in a quick period of time. Make your appt., even if you have to wait months to get in to see her. You better be alright with never knowing why you were denied. A simple common courtsey that ALL physicians should grant a human being. Unfriendly staff and all around unprofessional to say the least.
