After recent visits to Dr Swan, I just had my first cataract surgery. Everyone in the office is professional and pleasant. Dr Swan was great from my first visit to post op. He explained and answered all my questions and put me at ease to proceed with the surgeries. He came highly recommended by a friend and my brother. I’m very pleased with Dr Swan and would highly recommend!

I was a patient with several dry eyes several years ago. My symptoms had never been changed since I was treated by the young doctor. Nobody recommended me to visit the specialist until I found out by myself.

Excellent. The staff is organized and compassionate. D.R. swan diagnosed and treated an unusual condition with me very knowledgeably. He also did an excellent job on my cataract surgery. Very pleasant and informative.

Dr swan is fantastic ! I had cataracts surgery on both eyes and it' was a great experience. I can see crystal clear now and close to 20/20.. his staff at his office and surgery center are very kind and considerate Thank you so much Dr. Swan!!!

Dr. Swan is part of a large medical group with offices in several towns in Connecticut. Waiting in Cheshire or Hamden office feels like being in a production line with a great many people waiting to be seen. A visit seems to be 10 minutes for each person with a few minutes for the doctor to record notes. For a very minor problem the answer is a prescription for something that will take care of any possible problem, perhaps, but it does mean money-out-of pocket. Only when asked if a non-prescription solution can be first tried is there a suggestion of what to do. When asked for a sample, a small box with ONE single dose container of eye lubricant was handed over. The office is efficient and Vanessa, Dr. Swan's right hand person, takes a very thorough history, answers questions well, and is helpful. Pretty much the way health care is now provided - get as many folks in for as short a visit as possible, not determine exactly what the problem is but rely on prescription medication that is broad spectrum, no comment about contacting to let them know if the Rx worked or not. I have used this MD twice and this last time I scheduled two appointments and both were cancelled. On top of that the person who left the messages to cancel did so in a manner that made it clear that patient care is not a primary concern to this office. What makes this a big deal to me is this office is nearly impossible to get through to. That is, the phone is usually busy (who get's a busy signal these days?) or I am put on hold never to be spoken to again. What a waste of my time.
