He is caring and a fun Dr. I didn't like him going to Fredrick. I would love to have him back

I truly liked Dr Patel. He was patient and explained medical issues clearly. My plan was to get a back procedure, but he uses an answering service that is not well trained. I left 2 messages with the person responsible for handling insurance and never got a return call. I tried to schedule an appointment and was on hold for about 12 minutes before I lost my patience. I then called to schedule the procedure and the service said they would email the scheduling department to call me - no call. I was then scheduled for the procedure late afternoon. The next day I received a call saying that the procedure is only scheduled for early morning. I don't answer the phone as I get many scam calls. If you leave a message, I'll call you back. I am confused. I told them i had surgery on thursday 8/20. They advised me to call and let them know what meds were given so the doctor could rewrite the script.. i called on friday at 925a.m to get the ball rolling. By 130pm i call again. Was told it would happen. Today is saturday and i am miserable in pain. Im still confused on why they couldnt reach out to me knowing i just had surgery that was very invasive as heck. Didn't want to believe the reviews but here i am feeling neglected and def forgotten.. what good is a pain management place that won't honor their word? I am confused. Painful rushed back injections. Office feels like a constant rush hour with no bed side manner. Was asked 3 times if I wanted injections despite records showing that my surgeon said no injections during the 18 months post op while my spine is fusing! Didn't matter to this practice, as long as they were getting my money.

Did not like his greeting mannerism. Abrasive. He decided 3 shots in my back would solve the issue of a broken spine w/a piece of bone hanging off the broken spine also. He offered no options to correct my broken spine. He said it would take months. After reading on the internet some data, I decided to seek out an appropriate doctor with great knowledge & good reviews. The SHOTS would never corrected my issues. I SOUGHT ANOTHER DR. Thank goodness NSAPC exists! They worked with me to find SOME relief to my hopeless case. I now have the proper tools to address my worst, most painful days. I highly recommend this center. They addressed the pain, exactly what they are there to do. Thank you all!

Ok 3rd time calling, no big deal just need to be explained how to re-hook up my heart monitor. Oh yeah the first to calls I was hung up on. Yay customer service.

If you want to be seen by someone who truly cares about your situation. Than this doctor as well as the staff is not for you. If you're lucky, you might get to see Dr. Patel at your first visit, after that the NP ( nurse practitioner) One of the most insensitive, rude, and non compassionate person you will ever meet. Goes by the name of Liz! I feel responsible because I referred them to my friend who had been slowly depleting with there health issue after a car accident years prior. Do to the level of pain and loss of movement, he was needed to find a course of action to help him improve his quality of life. Long story short, all there interested in is taking your Money and not finding out how they can help you! My advice is, take the time to find a doctor who is involved with his patients, someone who'd had a good experience with the doctor as opposed to finding them online. One with, true compassion in his or hers line of work. Able to take the time out to hear your situation. Would not recommend this doctor to anyone ever again, absolutely the worst!! Dr. Patel is a great doctor he is very fast and accurate when it comes to injections, however the receptionist Melissa is extremely rude. I have heard this from several people. I referred someone to Dr. Patel and he said the same thing unfortunately one person can ruin a doctor's reputation.

I love this place. Dr Patel and the staff were very nice and caring. I received 3 selective nerve injections and am now feeling better

I love Dr. Patel and his staff. I have been seeing him for about 5 years and he seems to really listen to me and when something doesn't work he finds an alternative to try. Very laid back personality. Pretty easy to get an appointment as well.

I like this office. I’ve had manageable pain for years. I have had my needs met here. I find the staff courtesy and helpful. People in pain are often inpatient and take things personally— no judgement, just an observation. For example, a patient came in for a medication check— hard to miss the conversation— she had recently been discharged from a hospital, I overheard, for some respiratory problem. She still had a significant cough and looked very unwell. She had been rescheduled but evidently stopped by the office hoping to be seen. Understandable, however , the office had already told her to come back when she was fever free.. She was distressed but the staff stuck to the rules, which I appreciate. She was very angry and upset. My point is that the reviews don’t always indicate poor care— sometimes it’s just the opposite. Anyway. Professional and efficient, in my opinion. Every time I had to get a shot, I would be laying in the operating room for 10min+ with my shirt up while Dr. Patel was doing who knows what. Often times he was out there just talking to the nurses while I waited. Over the course of 5 shots this happened 4 times. The nurse would say his name over the intercom multiple times before he would finally come in to the operating room . On my last injection he injected me in the completely wrong area when I was very explicit about it being on my left, NOT my right side. On my last round of injections I expressed concern that I did not feel the shot would do anything. I didn't feel he even attempted to take time to address my concern and basically said "let's just see if it does anything." I just felt like he was trying to make a quick buck at that point. I mean, you're not even injecting me in the right area. For years, previous Dr.'s have only provided temporary relief via manipulation or medicine, none of which worked. But Dr. Patel specializes in the anatomy. He ordered an MRI, diagnosed my problem and discussed the available options. I faithfully place my life in his hands each time he administers a shot in my neck or spine. There is no other Dr. I would trust as much and am so very grateful for his expertise and professionalism.
