Very happy with Dr. Kumdar. He was able to give us the answer for my daughter after all she has been through and has told us he plans on getting her 100% better. I would definitely refer anyone to him.

He is the best doctor my daughter could have he cares a lot for his patients and he likes is always explaining if you don't understand I really thank him for everithing he has done for my daughter.

Dr. Kamadar first saw my 14 year old daughter 3 months ago. At the time she had only been diagnosed with chronic ITP and was also known as an idiopathic patient. She was being hospitalized every 3 weeks for platelets. When he first saw her he ran a whole bunch of tests and was able to diagnose her with Lupus. That was devastating for us. It's like I lost my self. He was very firm about it. He also made sure to explain exactly what Lupus and how he would treat it. He also said that he could not just stand there and do nothing about my daughter going into the hospital every 3 weeks for platelets. He said that since the platelet transfusions weren't lasting, but maybe 2 weeks that he was going to start her on chemo. That was like the worst news I could ever get. My husband and I were just devastated, but we knew that was probably going to be the best thing for her. Since that first day 3 months ago Dr. Kamdar has been an amazing doctor and I would absolutely recommend him to anybody in need. Once again, Thank you Dr Kamdar for being so attentive and for taking care of our sweet Anahi. Prayers for my baby girl.

It is Oct. 8, 2018, and we can't get a new patient appointment until next year. This is SO sad that a child is suffering and can't be seen.

He is the best rheumatologist Doctor ! He has knowledge about his specialty, but also he cares about his patients. I would recommend him with my eyes closed.

He treated my daughter when we needed him, not 6 months after. He is thorough, caring, knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to listen. He talks to my daughter about her treatment and allows her to ask questions. He is awesome!!!

My son was seizing 50 times a day. Another well known Children's Hospital in Houston sent him home, after a month in the hospital, and told us that there is nothing more they could do for him. Went to Children's Memorial Herman for 2nd opinion. Dr. Kamdar and the epilepsy doctors at Children's Memorial Herman immediately placed him in a coma and began treatment. It's been ~ 2 years after our son awoke from the coma and has yet to have a tonic-clonic seizure. Kamdar & Co. saved his life.

Dr. Kamdar worked closely with other Drs. In a treatment plan for our son. He was very personal with myself and my husband during a very difficult time in our sons life. I feel Dr. Kamdar saved his life and was a big part of his successful recovery.

After being under the care of one of the worst doctors I've ever encountered Dr. Kamdar was wonderful. I had previously been treated by the only other pediatric rheumatologist in The houston area and thought she was incredibly rude and not thorough at all. She didn't care about your complaints and moved on to the next patient as if she hadn't a care in the world. Dr. Kamdar may be blunt but he makes you feel like he genuinely cares about your health.

His bedside manner, in my case at least, was awful. He told me I had lupus, and then told me I would have to be on steroids, all in one visit. He made a 16 year old girl cry. The entire ordeal was awful, he didn't listen to any of my concerns, and made me feel lost. I had been going to Texas Children's for about 7 years when I met him (I think he was just a fellow), and I had never been treated in that way. I did not have a good experience with him, and I am glad I am no longer under his care.
