Dr. Anna Christella Burson

I agree with most on this review panel……RUN from this person, I did not choose this Dr. Mine retired and Amarillo Family Physicians move me under her care which I use the term care with reservation. I have moved on to another more attentive caring physician. This lady has zero bedside manner is very aloof and does not even attempt to listen to your problem. When a physician asked the patient “what do you want to do” when you present with a medical issue then something is very wrong. If I knew what I needed to do I wouldn’t be in your exam room. Run Run Run find a different option at Amarillo family physicians office.

I found Dr Burson attentive and caring. I would highly recommend her as you family physician.

Would not help and has horrible bedside manner. Don’t waste your time she is very condescending and rude.

I have been a patient since Dr. Burson moved her practice to Amarillo. She is wise, caring, and spends time with her patients. I'm happy. So much in fact that I recommended her to my wife who needs a new primary...

My mom couldn’t get her prescriptions refilled. Was told she didn’t use the portal. My mother is in her 70’s and not computer savvy. She didn’t know what this was or how to access it. I didn’t know either or I would have done it for her. My mother, after calling every week for two months to get her refills finally got a hold of Burson who berated her and whined about working 15 hours a day. I’m sorry, but I don’t care how many hours you work a day, take 5 mins and refill prescriptions.

Would highly recommend not going to this DR. Extremely judgmental and rude to her patients. The most unprofessional "Dr." I have ever seen.

On May 7th, our mom was seeing her for a follow up from a hospital stay. Our mom was not feeling well that day at all, but rather talking to my Mom about her symptoms, she simply asked to look into our Mom's mouth, turned around and told her she had CDIFF and was terminal.... she then suggested that my sister that she needed to go straight to the ER, to be seen, but not to let them keep her for m ore than a couple days, and to go ahead and reach out for hospice care. At that point our Mom said to Burson "by hospice care, what do you mean"? Burson says to my mom END OF LIFE !! Very cold hearted and boy was she ever WRONG! My mom was transported to NWTH and seven hours later sent home with a diagnosis of UTI. The ER doctors as well as her other doctors have been APPALLED by her words and lack of bedside manner. NEEDLESS to say our Mom has been scared by her words and has lived in total fear these past 12 days until today she finally had her heart doctor put her fears to rest. I am beyond angry, frustrated that anyone of her stature would be so CRUEL!

Horrible doctor...run, don't walk away from this woman and staff unless you plan on getting a lecture on being healthy and eating healthy foods because of the society we live in, meanwhile she and her nurse are morbidly obesity . Very hypocritical and extremely rude to their patients

Very good doctor, who knows what she is doing and is very careful about medications. Listens completely to her patient.

If long waits and an extremely rude and insulting doctor is what you are seeking look no further.

I have seen a few Dr's in my 34 years and none care like she does, she really gets to know you and goes above and beyond!

I went to this Dr because Of an issue with my neck and for migraines. She is the worst Dr I have ever seen. She is rude and told me get social security or quit my job at 38 rather than help me. She sent my prescription to wrong pharmacy twice and I never received it. I wouldn't take my dog to see her. She is a quack and needs her license stripped. So much more to tell.
