Despite her knowledge of this rare disorder and official diagnosis of what I already knew, I did not gain much needed help I was looking for. My allergist already put me on the initial protocol of H1 & H2 meds to help ease some symptoms. The wait time in the office and increased in fees for "extra time" was not warranted when it was the Dr. who was late and barely spent any time with me on how to begin healing. Dr. Maitland is by far the best physician I have ever had. She is as smart as they come. She puts 110% into treating her patients, most of which are extremely complex, requiring a lot of time & attention. I am so grateful to find her & have her as one of my treating physicians. She goes above & beyond for her patients & takes the extra step by contacting my other physicians to coordinate treatments with them.

Dr. Maitland is by far the most caring & thorough physician I ever had. I’m so grateful & appreciative to have her as one of my treating physicians. She’s as smart as they come. No problem is too small or complex for her to handle & address.

HORRIBLE!! I was charged $2350 (including $450 for "psychotherapy") for an initial appointment. She and another doctor handed out diagnosis after diagnosis, each with a big smile. They had not read the 17 pages of paperwork they required me to complete and did not ask any questions about my symptoms or what had worked. There was nothing they could recommend except tests for even more diagnoses and buying supplements from their store. I am in shock. I feel robbed. They took the money out 1 hour after the appointment, so there was nothing I could do.

Dr. Maitland and her office staff are great. A few family members all with extremely complicated medical histories had appointments with her today, We were greeted with a friendly hello, started on time, thorough and thoughtful review of each patient by one of the smartest, most capable professionals we have seen across the best institutions in the US. She is relentless in solving our issues and is there when we need her.. at 3 AM, on weekends and when we were in the hospital in another state! I referred many complex patients to her and she has made a huge difference in their lives also. I would discount the notion of "scattered" by some as I know she is always thinking to make sure all basis are covered and no stone is left unturned as she endeavors to improve your health. Her medical care warrants any wait or distance traveled. We are blessed to have her as our physician. Her staff has always been considerate and accommodating to all of us.

I am not likely to refer anyone to Dr. Maitland which is unfortunate because she is a smart knowledgeable doctor. Her office is so mismanaged, there is constant employee turnover, and the doctor is a scatterbrain. I really wanted to remain as a patient, but it was more of a headache in the end.

I called to make an appointment being a new patient and upon asking questions the receptionist Walter was very short in his answers. I proceed to let him know and before I could speak he was cutting me off and inturpting me. He went as far as to say he has no time to be emotionally attached, that all day he has people calling with the same questions. The receptionist went as far as hanging the phone up on me. It escalated and the woman he put on the phone did not try to fix the situations. Worse place ever and I haven’t been there. If that’s how you deal with people in healthcare them he’s definitely not cut out to answering calls. the wait is long however, its worth the wait! i have hope for my daughters health being managed better by Dr. M and i can breath for the first time in years!!

Dr. M is an amazing doctor ! She is very compassionate , dedicated and brilliant . She truly cares about her patients and goes above and beyond. She was totally worth the wait . Dr. Maitland is an incredibly astute, kind doctor who puts a lot of thought into practicing medicine. I am indebted to her for recognizing what other doctors have dismissed as part of a larger problem. I cannot recommend her enough.

Dr. Maitland is an extraordinary medical professional. Unusually well-informed, she takes a comprehensive view of a patient's health, not limiting to symptoms in the respiratory system. Her willingness to investigate the deeper, broader causes of a patient's illness is quite unusual in the medical profession, where doctors - many of them specialists - limit their approach to a specific symptom or area, confining their analysis to the boundaries of their particular specialty. Dr. Maitland possesses just the right combination of skepticism & open-mindedness. Needless to say, her levels of empathy & compassion are likewise exceptional. Brilliant, but scattered. I make sure I get the first appointment of the day. Usually, that trick works, as there are no patients to pile up before yours- but Maitland arrives 2-3 hours after your appt. She forgets everything in between appointments, does not look at tests and has given me multiple diagnosis, some which are conflicting or plain wrong. However, she is compassionate and does get my scripts for immunoglobulins consistently. I just wish I knew I could get to her in an emergency.

I have been trying for weeks to get an appointment to see Dr. Maitland. Every time I call her office, it says it is shut. Not able to leave a voice message. No other way to contact them - can't find an email or an online form. Am coming to come to the conclusion that I'd actually hate to be her patient - if I went into anaphylaxis, there'd be no way to contact her.

Dr Maitland is freakin awesome!!!She was very attentive ,and warm .She picked up on my symptoms without me having to say much. I had such a phobia of eating before I came to her due to a bad food allergy experience. She was devoted to getting to the root of the problem instead of medicating it. She gave me a food guide to go by ,which was very helpful and comforting.Plus I could stand to loose a few pounds so it was a double plus. She makes you feel empowered regarding your health.
