Dr. V was excellent. Thoroughly explained everything. Presented all options. Was extremely knowledgeable. Had an absolutely fantastic bedside manner. Absolutely awesome experience. Would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

Truly concerned about recovery. Takes time to put you at ease and explain all issues and answer all questions.

Dr. Van Bergeyk is an expert when it comes to the knee and getting everything working again. He was very informative in all stages: verification of torn ACL and all xrays/mri's, day of surgery, post surgery, and all the follow up appointments and physical therapy. I cannot say enough great things about him, the nurses, the front desk team.... seriously all around a great surgeon and facility. This was my first time ever being put under general anesthesia. He was aware alongside the entire surgery team and he made me feel very comfortable with the entire process. I don't suggest tearing your acl, but if you happen to do that GO TO DR VAN BERGEYK TO FIX IT.

Reviewed my sprained knee and correctly diagnosed the condition missed by another doctor.

Dr. Van Bergeyk is skilled, confident, and compassionate. Dr. VanB was referred to me by another orthopedic surgeon because of his expertise in handling complex surgeries. He has handled total knee replacement on both my knees, one of which was damaged in an accident and the other which was affected by years of weakness due to childhood polio. Both surgeries were very successful leaving me in much better shape and completely satisfied.

Dr. Van B has always made me feel very comfortable. I was lucky enough to have him perform surgery on my left knee, and now I’m back & there is no one else I’d rather have do my right knee. Dr. Van B has always been honest with me about what he can or cannot do, and I’ve always been honest with him about the things that I will continue to do and the things that I just can’t let go of. So Dr. Van B and I have a unique understanding and always have a great plan to get to the same place we both want to get to…….my health! THANK YOU Dr. Van B!!!!!

Dr. Van B is a compassionate doctor who is excellent in determining the best answer for your orthopdic needs. He rebuilt both of my feet years ago, and I am so pleased with the results.

Dr. Van Bergeyk and his staff are extremely competent and friendly. He is never in a hurry, explains things to our understanding. I am totally satisfied with what he has done involving my severely fractured ankle.

Dr Van Bergeyk surgically rebuilt my left foot 14 years ago and did a wonderful job. So when I needed a doctor I could trust for a tailor bunion on my right foot, I knew he was the best doctor for me. He is kind, compassionate, and listens. I wanted to try alternatives to surgery at this time. I live in Gig Harbor and he is worth the drive to Puyallup’s South Hill.

Office staff is great, from the front office to the back office. Friendly, fast and Dr. Van Bergeyk is very informative, caring.. and listened to my problems, and his medical assistant is very professional and easy to talk to.

I had fractured my ankle in 3 places back in August and immediately contacted Dr. VanBergeyk who many of my friends had highly recommended. My surgery was in mid August and everything couldn't have gone any better. Dr. VanBergeyk is absolutely amazing not only in his surgery practice but also a doctor who is a wonderful person who takes all the time needed to explain, listen, and follow through on all his requests or your questions. Rainier Orthopedic is a wonderful, safe, and clean clinic to go to. They have all departments right there on campus. As far as my progress, it's almost been 3 months since my surgery and I'm walking, slow jogging, starting to swing my golf clubs again, and driving. I have no pain and will continue to do all my stretching and exercising as recommended. Thank you Dr. VanBergeyk for a fantastic job and for being such a wonderful doctor.

Dr Van B is a personable pleasant Dr. I feel he was a perfect Dr for me. I like he and his MA but do feel like his receptionist Lisa ( I think that was her name) needs a lesson from the the Dr and MA to have a helpful friendly attitude.

Dr. Van Bergeyk performed foot surgery on my left foot. I had several follow-up visits, all excellent. He is very caring and you never feel rushed. The clinic is taking every precaution with Covid requirements at this time as well.

Dr. VanBergeyk took the time to explain all of my options to me. He listened to my concerns and was supportive of trying treatment less aggressive than surgery to begin with. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable.

Did an excellent job on my total knee replacement surgery. After two weeks I was getting around great, and after a month you can barely see the scar.

Dr. Van Bergeyk worked on my broken hand in ER at Good samaritan hospital, he installed 6 screws and a plate, the next day I vertually felt no pain (this is an indication that the man knows what he's doing and does it with care.) The day after post OP we were to leave for the winter which I assumed wouldn't be very welcomed by him, instead he and his assistant were sympathetic to our needs and gave us a travel pack of my records and extra dressings, how to re dress the hand and Dr. Van bergeyk even gave me instructions and what to expect for the stitch removal and 6 week check up. Great bed side manner also. Unfortunately I hope I won't need his services again but if I do, he will be my only choice.

Dr. VanBergeyk was great. Dr. VanBergeyk fixed my torn ACL and repair meniscus in my right knee. I would definitely recommend Dr. VanBergeyk to family and friends.

Dr. Van Bergeyk is great. He's knowledgable and has a wealth of medical experience giving me confidence that my orthopedic issues will be well cared for. His support staff, not so much. His receptionist does not promptly return phone calls for appointments and on a recent occasion denied making any such appointment at all causing me to suffer additional trauma while waiting for another appointment. Going to the ER is not an option.

In all of my years of seeing doctors I have never seen one that was so caring and friendly. I had a very serious break in my ankle and needed surgery which always happens on a doctors day off. Dr.Van B was there to explain every detail to me. Having worked in a hospital for almost 40 yrs. I was able to know from the beginning what kind of a doctor he was. Surgery went great and his follow up care was beyond excellent. His personality made my ordeal very easy. I would trust him with any kind of surgery and would recommend him to everyone.

I had full knee replacement in May, 2018 and wish I'd done it long ago. My experience was great. Dr. Van Bergeyk is amazing. He always took as much time as I needed at my office visits to listen to me and fully explain everything. He is very caring and will work with you until you are ready, not just rushing into surgery. He is confident, compassionate and understanding. His office staff is always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. VanBergeyk and Rainier Orthopedic.

I tore some ligaments in my left ankle July 11 2018 when a ladder went out from under me. Initially I saw Daniel Hahn his PA. When we determined I was not making much progress with Physical Therapy and a walking boot I saw Dr. Van B. He took another MRI and determined I would need surgery after all. Dr. Van B is a confident, compassionate surgeon with an awesome bedside manner. The Surgery Center at Rainer Orthopedic in Puyallup where he works is outstanding, with caring compassionate staff

Dr. Van Bergeyk was friendly and very helpful in treating my condition. He took the time to hear me out and was able to educate me on my foot problem. I highly recommend him.

I felt as if I were imposing when trying to be seen with a concern after surgery. They are ok until a problem arises, the Medical Assistant was cold, rude and condescending. I won't go back.
