Dr. Ashley Martin

I'm so grateful that Dr. Ashley Martin recently saw my mom. Dr. Martin reviewed my mom's medications and removed unnecessary prescriptions. My mom is thriving now that she is in her care. Thank you, Dr. Martin, for being so thorough and so caring!

Dr. Martin is very irresponsible. She talks down to people instead of trying to understand them. She is also very unreasonable and I feel like is trying to get people to spend unnecessary money.

Dr. Martin has repeatedly used fear-based, insensitive language to push me towards expensive testing that I did not need. Twice I have pursued these tests (X-rays, blood tests) and received normal results along with bills of nearly $1,000. When I've sought a second opinion, other physicians have felt Dr. Martin's testing suggestions were extreme or unnecessary. While I understand that she is not in control of insurance-related billing, it is her responsibility to make responsible and educated decisions on behalf of her patients. She also uses aggressive, triggering, and insensitive language around eating disorders. As a prominent figure at UChicago's eating disorder clinic, I would expect more from her.
