Dr Prefer was highly recommended by my internal medicine doctor. My appointment was for an annual checkup. Dr Prefer exceeded my expectations. She is a wonderful warm down to earth person and I felt very comfortable. As a bonus I left the visit with many morsels of overall health advice. She is filled with wisdom. I really benefitted from her expertise and knowledge. I highly recommend.

Dr. Prefer takes special care of her patients. Her dedication continues even after her patients leave the office. She is the model for what healthcare should be. She is experienced. She is patient. She listens, and most importantly, she doesn't rush you out the door. I would recommend Dr. Prefer to anyone looking for top notch gynecologic care.

My experience with Dr. Prefer was fantastic! She took the time to answer all my questions and was very thorough. I didn't feel rushed what so ever, she was focused on me and my health needs. Her medical receptionist Debbie was very friendly and helpful!

Dr. Prefer is a fabulous clinician who takes the time to listen to me and explain things clearly to me. She has a special certification regarding treatment of menopausal women and that is why I started seeing her - she solved my problem. I never feel rushed in my appointments with her. She doesn't take any insurance but is soooooooooooo worth it. She is the type of doctor we all wish for - patient, empathetic, communicative, responsive, caring, knowledgeable -- I could go on and on with praise of her.

As with many people, I was not looking forward to an annual exam. Dr. Prefer made my experience positive, and I felt at ease. She spent a long time with me going over all my questions and concerns. Returned my phone calls, was in no rush, and was very thorough. The office experience was also positive. I received all the information I needed to get to my appointment and schedule everything I needed. Thank you. Very positive experience.

Dr. Prefer is a wonderful Physician. She has helped me tremendously with balancing my hormones. Dr. Prefer listens, and will thoroughly work on a plan that is individualized to meet your needs. I have been seeing Dr. Prefer for at least 15 years. I think she is a wonderful OBGYN. She has always taken my concerns seriously and with empathy for whatever medical issues I’m having. She is warm and always gives the time necessary to fully find a solution to any medical issues. She gives whatever is necessary of her office and exam time. I’m never rushed through. I always feel completely heard and treated with courtesy, respect and consideration. I would highly recommend Dr. Prefer!

I have been a patient of Dr. Prefer's for more than eight years and her thoroughness and knowledge in dealing with her patients is reminiscent of the proverbial old-fashioned doctors who took the time to really know their patients. She remains at the forefront of medical developments and treats each patient as if they are the only ones on her schedule for the day. Her office is classy and cheerful and her receptionist, Debbie, is both warm and welcoming. Dr. Prefer is simply the best.

Dr. Prefer is a wonderful, kind and caring doctor. She really takes the time to listen and discuss any issues that you might have and addresses them head on. Where some doctors might just pass off your concerns, Dr. Prefer takes the time to work toward finding the answers and doing what is needed. In my search to find a gynecologist who really understands menopause and ALL that it entails, I came across Dr. Prefer, who holds credentials in menopause management. She spent a substantial amount of time talking with me and reviewing my concerns, health history, and just getting to know me. She was caring, reassuring, knowledgeable and gentle. She never made me feel embarrassed, ignorant or crazy. Dr. Prefer even called personally with test results. Glad I found Dr. Prefer.

Dr. Prefer is a diamond in the rough. She takes the time needed to make sure each discussion you have with her - that you understand each detail. She truly listens to your concerns and provides answers.

Recommended by another MD, I arrived anxious, frustrated, not feeling well and at my wits end. She addressed all facets of my concerns, taking action on the areas under her control, and giving me needed next steps. Within ten days on a better suited regimen of HRT, most of my physical symptoms were gone. Even our follow-up (phone) discussion was met with warmth, an open-minded approach and genuine care. Her calm approach was a throw back to the days when doctors had time for individualized care.

I have been Dr. Prefer's patient for 25 years. I have lived all over NJ and in NYC during that time and have always traveled to see her. I felt it was worth the trip! She is very interested, concerned and accessible. She has always called me back and been there to advise me, when necessary. She is very knowledgeable and I have complete confidence in her. I would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a new gynecologist....I actually have!

I met Dr. Prefer for the first time today. I needed a new gynecologist because my previous one had retired. Because I liked my former gynecologist so much, I was prepared to be disappointed. Not so! Dr. Prefer is a very caring and non-judgmental person who clearly loves what she does. She spent a great deal of time taking my history so that she could provide the best medical care. I have never had such a rental internal exam and pap smear. I feel that I am in good hands with Dr. Prefer!

Dr. Prefer has been my trusted GYN for over 30 years. I am a "DES baby" and she has gotten me through some rough times with sensitivity and deep and broad knowledge of women's health. She also delivered my beautiful daughter and then became my daughter's GYN. Dr. Prefer is caring and has always taken the extra time to listen and and respond with candor and humor.

Dr. Prefer is one in a million. She is a caring, compassionate physician who is thorough in understanding your needs. I would never go to anyone else.

I have been going to her for over 15 years. I see her for routine visits and also for emergencies. She is for her patients over 100%. I am post-menopausal and she is an expert at treating post-menopausal women. I recommend her without reservations.

Dr. Prefer runs her office and practice the way it should be done. She schedules appropriately, no waiting, and enough time to speak with me without rushing. I leave feeling I was heard, understood, and cared for. The office sends reminder cards so I never worry about missing an exam. She is patient when I have questions and need explanations. Though she doesn't take insurance, it is worth the small cost to see a Doctor who treats patients the way she wants to be treated.

Have been seeing her for 3 years through menopause. Exactly what I needed.

Dr. Prefer is the best gynecologist I've ever been to. She spent a very long time with me asking lots of questions about my medical history and made sure I understood everything about the medication I would be taking. She is an excellent Doctor. First class. I'm so lucky to have found her.

It was my first visit with Dr. Audrey Prefer, and as soon as I walked in to her clean & welcoming office, I knew that I made the right decision to see her. She made me feel at ease and comfortable right away; taking the time with me as she listened to my concerns and answered my questions. She was very patient, kind, insightful and knowledgeable. She's the best doctor I have ever met, & I'm so glad that I found her. I would give her 10 stars or more if I could, and I highly recommend her.

I was referred to Dr. Prefer by my therapist, I was struggling with bouts of depression & anxiety which I've never experienced in my short 46 years of life. Dr. Prefer suggested I make changes with my birth control first and foremost before making any decisions on antidepressants or other medications. Although I am not opposed to medication, especially with menopause looming, I was thankful for her insight and mindfulness. She was kind, alert and focused on just me, all of which I appreciate.

Dr. Prefer was recommended to me by a local imaging center technician- my long term dr had retired , next dr was more suited to child bearing age patients, I did not feel my issues addressed at 51 yrs of age. From minute I walked into Dr Prefers warm office felt at ease- . She was forthcoming, asked many questions & educated me on Gyno related issues for us post menopausal gals! Answered my questions, asks medical history before any exam. Felt special ! Very Caring & ESP -Knowledgeable!!!!

Dr. Prefer is hands down the BEST Gynecologist I've ever been to. So lucky to have found her.

I chose Dr. Prefer from among several OB/GYNs listed as accepting my former doctor's patients when she retired. I did not know of anyone under her care, so I was not sure of what to expect. As it turns out, I couldn't be happier with the level of care I received at my first appointment with her. She took the time to get to know me and my history, and thoroughly explained all information pertinent to how her office operates. Her manner was extremely professional, relaxed, and welcoming.

Dr. Prefer really took the time to talk with me and understand my concerns.

I am 61 years old and had many questions about menopause and aging. Dr. Prefer spent lots of time with me and answered all of my many questions. Best attention I've ever gotten from a gynecologist.

Dr Prefer's office is very comfortable and inviting. Her staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr Prefer has the qualities and personality that I search for when choosing a doctor. She meets with you in her office and is very thorough and friendly. She makes you feel very comfortable and is easy to talk to. I have heard thru other people that she is a good doctor and I can say that now. I'm glad I am a patient and so thankful for her because there are not a lot of doctors out there like her.

I have been seeing Dr. Prefer for over two years now. Never waited longer than 5 minutes for my appointment. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to have a doctor so thorough, attentive and OPEN different avenues one can take on their road to whole health. One doctor..... 100%attention..... beautiful follow up!

This was my first visit with Dr. Prefer. I really liked the idea of seeing only on Doctor and not a Group Practice. Dr. Prefer was very attentive to my needs and thoroughly answered all of my questions. She really seems to care about her patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Prefer.

I have been going to Dr. Prefer for care for over 10 years. She is a wonderful doctor who takes time with each patient to fully understand her health in totality. Dr. Prefer is knowledgeable about a wide variety of health topics, and up to date on the latest research. I appreciate that she schedules her patients' appointment times far enough apart so that we are never rushed, and never left waiting. As a result, she has time to spend with each patient in a fully-engaged and mindful manner.

Dr. Prefer is a wonderful doctor for numerous reasons. First, she is very knowledgeable and has a wealth of experience. Second, she really cares and spends a great deal of time discussing health matters with her patients. Third, she takes time before every appointment to go over your medical condition since the last appointment so that she is fully informed. Fourth, she really listens. Lastly, Dr. Prefer is an amazing doctor that I have been going to since by 20's and I am now in my 50's.
