Dr. Barry S Rosen

Dr. Rosen is not only a skilled and experienced surgeon, he treats the entire patient. I felt he was in touch with my emotional, physical and overall well being as his patient. His attention to detail and well placed and appropriate humor helped me through what could have been a difficult time. He is accessible and I felt respected and that he really cared about my current and ongoing situation. A true asset to the Advocate System and blessing in my life.

Anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer can understand the fear of the unknown that immediately takes over your thoughts. I was referred to Dr. Rosen by my dermatologist, and within an hour Dr. Rosen was contacting me. He immediately put my mind at ease and spent an hour of his personal time, on a holiday weekend no less, to explain my medical situation clearly in terms that a layman could understand. He then went on to lay out the game plan for my care which included several other issues and doctors. Through it all, Dr. Rosen took charge and handled all communications between the different doctors. In his own words, he was my "Team Quarterback!" From those first encounters until my post surgery check up, I have found Dr. Rosen to be a surgeon of extreme competence and intelligence, and even more importantly, a human who cares deeply for his patients. I have received the best possible care in every facet of this journey. Every nurse and office staff member I have dealt with in his practice have been equally helpful, kind, and compassionate as well. I will be forever grateful that my path was led to Dr. Barry Rosen.

Dr. Rosen is the most kind, caring, positive, upbeat, knowledgeable doctor I’ve ever seen. I feel so blessed to have him as my doctor. He takes the time to answer your questions, his communication skills are exceptional. He is incredibly approachable and responsive, he encourages his patients to contact him for any questions anytime, and provides his cell phone number, he answered all my questions promptly. After having had my surgery a few weeks ago, I believe that his surgical skills are second to none. The discomfort after the surgery was minimal so I didn’t even need to take any pain killers, and incision was strategically placed at areas that are almost invisible, I am very pleased with my surgery. Dr. Rosen is truly the best. He cares for his patients very much and always goes the extra mile for them! I feel very lucky to have Dr. Rosen on my side. Thank you Dr. Rosen!

Dr. Rosen is outstanding! He is like no other doctor I've seen - he entered the exam room with an enthusiastic smile (!!), addressed my health concerns immediately, reducing my anxiety. He is very knowledgeable, and speaks in every-day language. His personality is vibrant, and it's clear he is very passionate about helping his patients and their families. Selecting a surgeon at your time of need can be very stressful. For that reason, I want to share my personal experience with Dr. Barry Rosen and his team of highly professional employees. I was diagnosed with DCIS on July 26 at 11:30am. That evening at 7pm, from his home, I received a call from Dr. Rosen who immediately provided a course of action, appointment options and his personal contact information in the event I had any additional questions. Much to my surprise, because it isn’t the norm, he was quick to respond to both my calls and emails. At our initial meeting, he took the time necessary to detail the surgery including diagrams, explained the role of supporting physicians and provided me with a comprehensive “to do list” in order to keep things moving. Dr. Rosen’s patience, compassion, and many assurances gave me the confidence I needed to believe in a favorable outcome. Hopefully, I will no longer require surgical services but if I do, Dr. Rosen will be my first call.

Dr Rosen was my surgeon for a recent lumpectomy. He is excellent! He explains the procedure, risks, and likely outcome in a very easy to understand manner. He is very reassuring and easy to work with. He follows up with personal phone calls and is very accessible for any question or concern. I would highly recommend him to any friend or family member in need of his service. I give him the highest rating possible!

Words are not enough to express my gratitude for having been referred to Dr. Rosen. His kindness, sincere warmth and caring combined with his exceptional knowledge of breast cancer brought me from a place of fear to a place of confidence that he, along with the skilled team he assembled, are the finest any patient could pray to have. Dr. Rosen was extremely kind and took the time to explain everything during my visit. I was a new patient and he made me feel like I have been a patient for years. I would HIGHLY recommend him to friends and family. A smile and great attitude goes a long when seeing a doctor for something that could potentially be concerning.

Dr. Rosen is wonderful! My first appointment, he spent an hour with my husband and me explaining everything regarding the cancer, surgery, and treatment. He is so personable, and kept me relaxed and assured that all would be good. My surgery went extremely well. My scar is basically hidden. The oncologist even made a remark at how good it is. Dr. Rosen is always available to answer questions. He gave me his cell phone number and told me to call or text anytime I needed. When I was waiting for my biopsy report, I texted him. He called me back within a minute! I feel so blessed that I was sent to Dr. Rosen. Absolutely the best!!

Dr. Rosen is THE BEST, MOST IMPRESSIVE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, TALENTED SURGEON AND PERSON. He called me as soon as I was diagnosed! Dr. Rosen took an hour and a half to explain, educate my husband and me about my diagnosis and offer hope and confidence at the exact right time and always. I’m so happy that fate (due to Covid overscheduling at my regular breast care center) brought me to him. I would travel from out of state to have the honor of being treated by Dr. Rosen! This was my 1st to Dr. Rosen. I found him to be informative, friendly and answered any question I had about my condition. It was a spot in my right breast so he gave me options as to the surgery. The surgery was scheduled very quickly but I decided it was moving to fast so I rescheduled it.

I've never had such great communication with a physician as I have with Dr. Rosen. He is extremely caring and informative.

Beginning with my 1st appointment, Dr. Rosen took the time to thoroughly discuss my cancer. He was technical while making sure that I understood the detail. He captained a team of skilled professionals: radiologist, oncologist, physical therapist, nurse navigator, and assistant) who mirrored his style of communication coupled with knowledge, compassion, understanding and experience. When I was worried, Dr. Rosen sensed my need, knew how to expedite results, and called from his cell to provide immediate results. Dr. Rosen was recommended by my PCP for breast surgery. Upon meeting him I was impressed with how friendly and easy to communicate with. He explained in drawings my condition and how he was going to do the surgery. On day of surgery he was also very friendly and put me at ease. He is extremely patient and very energetic. He did a great job on my surgery and I highly recommend him and his staff are also very friendly. His assistant Made all the arrangements for my surgery and was very helpful.

Dr Rosen and staff were terrific in guiding me through an early detected breast cancer surgery including interoperative radiation and restoration in a single day. Dr Rosen and his Assistant were great. Both Dr Rosen and his Assistant told me what to expect during the visit - every step of the way - so that I was less nervous. They did everything they could to make me comfortable. My wait was very short. Dr Rosen greeted me for the first time while I was clothed. Then left the room to allow me time to change. This was a great way to meet a patient for the first time. Very respectful. I had full confidence in them. I was fortunate to leave with a great prognosis. It's good to know there are Doctors out there that won't diagnosis you with something you don't have - just so they can charge you. I would fully recommend Dr. Rosen.

Dr. Rosen is a wonderful doctor! I cannot say enough good things about him. The first time I saw him he made me feel so comfortable, safe and at ease for my upcoming surgery. He checked on me every day after surgery in the hospital and even called me at home. Following my second surgery, he called me while he was on vacation to let me know my results. Since my surgery, I see him regularly and feel that my road to recovery would not have been the same without him. Thank you!!!

In addition to his tremendous skills as a surgeon, Dr Rosen is kind, compassionate and a great listener. He has a gift of emulating calmness in the most frightening situations when facing cancer.

Dr. Rosen is the best doctor! Top notch! I was diagnosed with breast cancer on a Friday evening. Received call around 4:30, chose Dr Rosen as my breast surgeon at 6:30. He responded to me per text in 15 mins. He was out of town. He responded to me per phone an hour later. He met me in his office on way home from airport on Sunday with his wife. What doctor does that? He discussed in detail my case, spent 1 1/2 hrs. He has a way of putting you at ease. He is my guardian angel. He earned my trust. I was very impressed with Dr. Rosen's knowledge and friendliness. The doctor and the entire staff made me feel comfortable and welcome. Dr. Rosen has a very caring attitude towards his patients and his personality makes you feel at ease even during stressful health situations. I highly recommend Dr. Rosen and his team.

I was referred to Dr Barry Rosen, and I cannot say enough on his manner. He made me feel so at ease and comfortable when you are feeling apprehensive and scared. He explained everything well and took time to answer my questions. I was even able to schedule on a saturday. Yes I was very pleased with Dr Rosen. It is hard to find a doctor that makes himself available when needed no matter what. Hard to find now.

Dr Rosen is an awesome doctor!! He is patient and listens. Is very knowledgeable about breast cancer and all that goes with the treatments. He is an excellent surgeon. I have had 2 surgeries with him and am very pleased with the results. His bedside manner cannot be replaced.

My experience with Dr. Rosen was excellent. I was referred to him for concerning breast lumps. He listened to my concerns, did a thorough exam, did an additional ultrasound in the office to confirm the lumps were benign. He ensured I completed another 3D mammogram a few months later to ensure all was ok. He is thorough, kind, intelligent and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Rosen is definitely one of the top doctors I have worked with. From your first appointment where he calms your nerves, through years of ups and downs, he has been there. I know very few doctors giving out their cell phone #, and answering back and the first hint of concern in your voice. He will always be a special doctor for me, he saved me from cancer! If you are looking for a top notch doctor with an excellent bedside manner, you can't go wrong with Dr. Rosen.

Dr. Rosen has treated me with the utmost respect. He has a phenomal sense of humor. Exhibits great Compassion. Explains throughly the steps of each procedure. (I have seen him several years ago and recently returned for a different issue, different side??). His work is awesome. Can’t even tell there was surgery!!

Everybody I mentioned that Dr Rosen was doing my hernia surgery, told me he was the best. I am glad I found out it is the truth! He explained everything fully, answered all questions and made sure I would be taken care of after surgery. My sister who took me in for the surgery was amazed at how well Dr Rosen explained everything and also felt I was in the best hands for this procedure! 5 stars all the way!

Dr. Rosen is my hero. I have complete trust & confidence in his medical abilities. He explained my cancer diagnosis carefully to me followed by recommendations for treatment. He performed my Lumpectomy surgery with care & concern for both my surgery & recovery. He now schedules & reviews both my post surgery mammogram follow-ups as well as my regular annual mammogram exam. He is one terrific doctor & a fantastic surgeon. I am extremely grateful to be one of his patients.

The office staff is very friendly and greets you immediately when you walk up to the check-in window. The Medical Assistants are professional and personable. Dr. Rosen is awesome! I have been seeing Dr. Rosen for several months since he diagnosed me with breast cancer. I can't say enough about how caring he is, taking all the time I need to answer questions and provide information. He has provided referrals to other specialists like medical and radiation oncologists that have also been superb clinicians. I highly recommend him to any woman needing treatment for breast disorders.

After abnormal breast imaging and a known family history of breast cancer I consulted with Dr. Rosen regarding genetic testing. Dr. Rosen spent time educating me on the benefits of undergoing this testing as I was initially anxious. The genetic testing was incredibly fast and easy. I was in and out of the office in minutes. I am extremely happy I underwent this testing and am comforted by the results obtained. Dr. Rosen's bedside manner and caring affect were unparalleled.

I recently had hernia surgery performed by Dr. Rosen on a Thursday afternoon. He was very easy going and made me feel very comfortable. The intestinal pain I was suffering from immediately went away and I had very little pain from the surgery. The recovery has been excellent and I was back to work on Monday, only missing one day of work. I highly recommend Dr. Rosen!

Dr. Rosen is amazing! His incredible relaxed bed side manner, passion, and funny personality was exactly the kind of doctor I needed by my side when diagnosed with Breast Cancer. He made me feel like I was his only patient, always had time to answer my many questions and assured me everything was going to be ok, it is because of him I had hope! Dr. Rosen clearly explained the procedure, covered post-op expectations, and performed the procedure without a hitch. Going under is always a concern regardless of age or procedure, but you are in the hands of true professional with Dr. Rosen. I highly recommend him. Additionally, his office is run extremely well.

Very attentive office staff and excellent care! I highly recommend this surgeon and his partners.

Dr. Rosen is an excellent surgeon with an amazing bedside manner....so rare to find both qualities in a doctor. I felt comfortable and confident with him and knew that I was receiving the best possible care. He and his office staff did everything, including scheduling my MRI prior to me leaving on vacation as well as getting all my referrals (I have an HMO). They really broke the mold when they made Dr. Rosen! He truly is a Godsend and there is no need to look for any other surgeon!

Dr. Rosen takes time to listen to patients, to explain diagnosis and to provide clear next steps. Even though he had a patient to see before me, he came into the exam room I was in, introduced himself and explained he would see me immediately following the patient. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know.

Dr. Rosen is FANTASTIC!!! I was sent to him after I found a couple of lumps in my breast that didn't show up on diagnostic imaging & an ultrasound- There was no definitive diagnosis & I have a history of breast, pancreatic, & ovarian cancer in my family. Dr. Rosen is an expert in his field & his 'bedside' manner is beyond comforting. He took an approach & did tests that put my mind at ease & that I am very satisfied with. I *highly* recommend Dr. Rosen- His staff as well; they're all great!!!
