In dealing with my wife, Dr Basaam was arrogant, overbearing with the bedside manners of a goat. He DID NOT LISTEN to what his patient is telling him and did not look over patient records in advance even though they were sent 2-3 weeks prior. After two visits he still had no clue what was wrong.

THIS PERSON IS A FAKE DOCTOR! STUCK 20 NEEDLE ???? IN MY ARM IN 2014, FOR NERVE DAMAGE..IF I DIDN'T HAVE ANY THEN...I CERTAINLY DO NOW! I HAVE HAS TROUBLE EVERY SINCE! EVEN WENT TO EMERGENCY ROOM....

Office does not understand the point of the visit.

Dr. Bassam was the worst doctor I have ever seen. He did not listen to me, he dismissed my issues and made me out to be a crazy person. He made me feel like I was an inconvenience and a waste of his time.

Since listening to patients is a waste of his time, don’t waste yours too. Just go ahead and find someone else who is actually professional.

Does not listen to his patients. He flaunts that he knows it all because he is a professor. No bedside manner. Ego over wisdom

He wouldnt let me tell him my symptoms because “I’m young, and so I’m supposed be healthy “. For months I have had no strength in the left side of my body (and many more severe symptoms) and the fact I had to wait months for his rudeness was astounding. Seems to be a common thread on many other reviews that he refuses to listen and doesnt let patients even speak...

Seems to be a common thread in many reviews, he refuses to listen and doesnt let patients speak. He wouldnt even let me tell him my symptoms because “I’m young, and therefore I should be healthy “. My quality of life is difficult currently and the fact I had to wait months for this rudeness was astounding.

I have been a Registered Nurse for 42 years. my husband has been diagnosed with CIDP by 5 different neurologists including Mayo Clinic Dept of Neurology. Dr Bassam refused to let me speak, he insisted my husband give all the responses about medical history surgeries and what symptoms he had before being diagnosed. . I have never seen any patient treated so rudely especially by a Dr that specializes in neurological diseases and knows of the memory issues and sometime confusion and disorientation.

My 10 month old son was having some asymmetry/right side facial weakness so we were referred to Dr. Bassam. We arrived early but waited no longer than 10 minutes after his appointment time to be brought to a room. Dr. Bassam was very calm and spoke kindly and positively to him. Being 10 months old, he was curious at first about his test and Dr. Bassam let him explore wires until he was satisfied. During the test, my son became scared and Dr. Bassam worked very quickly, found a stopping point to give him a break, and resumed the test when he calmed. He was very thorough in explaining the results and even held my son and let him look at the computer to explain the results to him - which my son found VERY fascinating! He had a great "bedside manner", explained things simply enough for us to understand without assuming we were clueless, and the entire visit was around 35 minutes. I would definitely recommend him! My wife and I went to see him for Neuro concerns several weeks ago and he barely listened. We both left disgusted and will find another neurologist in the area. We expected a higher degree of professionalism and patient attention from his team. Pathetic for a teaching staff.
