I’ve been a patient of Dr. Yalda for years. She and her staff are always so gracious and professional. The office and exam rooms are immaculate and they are in full compliance with CDC guidelines. Dr. Yalda did a skin graft on my gum and the procedure was flawless. I’d recommend Dr.Yalda and her staff to anyone requiring periodontal treatment and monitoring.

Unfortunately, I have a lot of periodontal issues and I have been going to Dr. Yalda for 15 years, she takes the time to explain the procedure to you, and gives you the best outcome depending on your situation. Highly recommend her for periodontal services.

I love this place the people are so nice

Lindsay cleaned my teeth today. She is lovely and very personable. Dr. Yalda has been my endodontist for many years. She is wonderful. She is thorough, knowledgeable and kind. Thank you both for taking care of me today!

First time going and seeing Dr Yalda and she was amazing! She was very understanding and answered and questions I had. I would recommend her for anyone looking for a periodontist!

Dr. Yalda is an expert in her field and her staff is the best of any dental office I have visited (which have been quite a few!).

Kudos to Dr. Yalda and dental hygienist Lindsey, whose care to date (I'm still mid-treatment, 3 out of 4 appointments completed) has been phenomenal. They know what they are doing and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I completely trust them to bring my mouth back to the best it can be. Kudos also to their treatment plan coordinator and to their front desk, who are welcoming, and who communicate clearly and efficiently. Finally, kudos to their infection control protocols. I felt completely safe and well cared for. Thank you so much! Dr Yalda was been my periodontist for over 15 years. I have received absolutely superb care during all that time. I visited her the first time after I had my wisdom teeth removed by an oral surgeon, and he didn’t properly clean the open wound, causing an infection. Dr Yalda rectified the problem and since then I’ve been her biggest fan. I cannot say enough good things about her and her courteous and professional staff. I was really concerned because I have a shoulder replacement surgery coming up and needed to get any dental issues resolved in advance or wait at least 6 months after surgery. The office fit me in in plenty of time, but fortunately nothing major has to be done. The staff really cares, and I'm ever so grateful.

Everyone one at Dr. Yalda's office is kind and patient, happy to give as much information about procedures or insurance/billing as needed. They understand everyone has different comfort levels with dental procedures, and that these procedures are very expensive. I highly recommend them if you need periodontal work!

Dr. Akhtar was very patient with my child who had a ton of anxiety around the visit. Hopefully, we don’t have to go back and he’s all better now - but if we do - my son wouldn’t mind as much. They were very kind to him. Highly recommended.

Dr. Akhtar is the BEST! She is so knowledge and talented. I’ve had some serious periodontal issues over the last two years and she’s taken the best care of me while also helping address the issues. I would recommend Dr. Akhtar to anybody who needs a periodontist.

First my appointment was move from March to Feb due to a cancelation. Once there the young lady met me at the door took my temperature and greeted me with a big smile. The staff is very friendly and make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Dr Yalda was very direct about my treatment options and I love that.

The Hygenist Jasmine really took her time getting the stains off my teeth and was bright and friendly. Dr Yalda is thorough and always gentle and kind. She is brilliant and dedicated to her passion of dentistry.

Dr Yalda and her assistant were patient and kind. They saw I was very nervous and made this experience a good one. I will not worry about coming back for the second half of my procedure. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Today I had a cleaning with Jasmine and it was the BEST cleaning I’ve ever had. She focused on my entire mouth. I had stains on the back of my front teeth that are now gone! Great office to have periodontal work performed.

We had both of our daughter's work done 12yr for a frenectomy and 14 yr tooth exposure Every was wonderful from the time we walked in With the front office staff they even had school excuse ready for us . I was evaluated by Dr Yalda and her team for a tooth implant. Dr Yalda was very clear in her explanations of how best to proceed. The office had wonderful cleanliness protocols everywhere from the moment I arrived. The staff was very friendly, clear and thorough in their procedures.

Consultation & procedure went great with Dr. Akthar. She is highly skilled and helpful in explaining what to expect during the procedure. Unfortunately, I received a surprise bill that was 3x the estimate from the billing department. When I called to schedule to the appointment, I had Unum dental which later switched to Guardian but Dr. Yalda is covered under both. The entire time I was led to believe I would be seeing Dr. Yalda. I was surprised to meet Dr. Akthar on the day of the consultation since I had not heard her name or seen it before-- she may even remember that I asked her if she was Dr. Yalda because I thought I heard her name wrong. On the day of the surgery, I was told there was an insurance issue but that they would handle it -- turns out the front desk staff didn't. The issue turned out to be that Dr. Akthar was out of network for the insurance, even though the staff had said they confirmed coverage on the first visit. So if you go here, make sure you check the insurance, and insist on only seeing the provider that your insurance covers. There is also some strange rule that they will only accept certain insurances in their Gaithersburg office but not the Frederick one, but nobody at the front desk wants to tell you that prior to your appointments. All in all, Dr. Akthar did great as a Doctor, but it's a shame her front desk team can't properly serve customers. Consultation & procedure went great with Dr. Akthar. This is an amazing office excellent service and awesome staff and Docs!

I saw Dr. Akhtar and she was very thorough and professional. She explained the procedures she was recommending and made me feel comfortable moving forward. The other dental and administrative personnel I interacted with were also courteous and professional. I will definitely recommend this office and especially Dr. Akhtar.

I just had my first visit with the Frederick office. I had nothing but a warm and friendly welcome from the time the door was opened to when I left. I only had a consult today, but I felt super comfortable when speaking to the Dr. I would recommend this office.

Dr. Yalda is definitely someone I would refer people to. She and her staff are great. I had a procedure yesterday that I was terrified to have. Everyone was friendly, reassuring and made it go smoother than I expected.

This office is a great place to be when you need dental work. From beginning consultation appointment to the day the work being performed, this office contacted me with information and instructions as to what to expect. I even had 2 calls asking if I would like to move my appointment to an earlier date. I had an unfortunate incident where another tooth broke off. Today’s procedure was an attempt to put 2 posts in my mouth. After evaluating my situation, it was decided to just build up the 2 areas, let that heal and then proceed. Follow up appointment scheduled next week to take out stitches and what to expect next. Dr. YALDA and her staff are excellent In periodontics. They are all about the patient, and not themselves. They do not give their opinion unless asked. Very relaxed atmosphere. You will be treated kindly at Dr YALDA offices!
