Dr.McCalip performed a fine needle aspiration (f.n.a.) biopsy on a suspicious nodule on my thyroid yesterday. (I am a retired nurse so I am sometimes more critical than other patients might possibly be. I do not inform medical staff working on me of this fact, however.) My own personal experience could not have possibly gone better. 1.) I found the doctor to behave professionally, while displaying compassion. 2.) I am inquisitive & asked numerous question. He answered kindly and to the extent that he even wrote down the answers to a more complicated question. 3.) I forgot my wallet for the first time ever going to a doctor appt. and I live 40 minutes away. Dr. McCalip’s receptionist/medical assistant did not make me feel badly about it. In fact she was sweet about it & contacted the E.N.T. doctor’s office who had referred me to this office & asked them to fax over my insurance info. Problem solved. 4.) A young doctor from Wright State’s medical program was with Dr.McCalip when he entered the exam room. He was introduced & I acknowledged his presence would be fine by me. 5.) It was such a relief to have the doctor be able to leave the room, then examine my F.N.A. biopsy & return with my results at the end of my appointment. ( No fretting or fussing on my part, waiting for days worrying as to whether results were positive or negative for cancer. ) Results were explained to me by Dr.McCalip before leaving his office. Yes, I highly recommend Dr. McCalip.

Dr. McCalip was very professional. He was courteous and took time to explain the needle biopsy procedure. When discussing results he was very informative and answered all of my questions. Great experience! (As well as it could be for a "scare" for my health.)

I had a Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy by ultrasound this AM on my Thyroid for a Nodule. If you ever need this done, do not hesitate. Dr. Mccalip was very calm, very gentle, and explained the procedure prior to the biopsy. I never felt a thing and had the results within fifteen minutes. My experience at Dr. McCalip's office was very pleasant. From the ladies at check-in to the whole biopsy procedure. Dr. McCalip explained everything and was able to give me a diagnosis within 40 minutes of entering their office. I left here knowing what was going on and all my questions answered.

Blown away how organized and quick this office works. Dr. McClain explained every step, literally performed two FNBA on my Thyroid nodes and I didn't feel a thing. There was a Lidocaine shot that barely warrants mentioning but that's it. Will have all my testing done at this office. Professional and personal touch EXCELLENT.

Dr. McCalip was very thorough and was able to give me my results as he did the ultrasound. He answered all my questions and was very nice and is very knowledgeable in pathology.

He is a nice guy and his staff are also very nice. Not an ego maniac at all and able to give you answers very quickly. I like him and if I have any more thyroid nodules I’d make the trip to see him again.

Excellent, Dr McCalip is everything you could want in your physician. The answers you need are available so quickly, it seems like a miracle in this day. I'm so impressed with how pleasant he makes your time in his care.

DR MCCALIP WAS EXCELLANT! I EXPECTED A LOT OF PAIN, BUT THERE WAS VERY LITTLE, ABOUT 3 SECONDS WITH INJECTING NUMBING MEDICATION AND THAT WASN'T BAD. NO PAIN OR BRUISING AFTERWARD AND IT HAS BEEN 4 DAYS! HE IS KIND AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. I WOULDN'T GO TO ANYONE ELSE!

He was knowledgeable and worked quietly. The procedure was unpleasant.

I was terrified about having another biopsy done because I had a really bad experience with my first one but Dr. McCalip and his staff were amazing he did the procedure fast and with hardly any pain they were wonderful

Amazing! Dr.McCalip and his staff are absolutely wonderful, they are personable and make you feel very comfortable throughout your procedure. Dr.McCalip explained the procedure as he went along and both he and his assistant put me at complete ease. Absolutely recommend Dr.McCalip!

Very professional. Didn't give me a headache about anything and explained everything going on in complete detail. He answered all of my questions and even walked me out of his office. Would definitely recommend him for his knowledge and compassion.
