Dr. Benjamin Bang V Nguyen

I was diagnosed with cervical dystonia by a different neurologist who was not able to give the treatment needed so he sent me to Dr Nguyen. I liked him from the very beginning. He was very attentive, thorough and knowledgeable. Explained what would be done and set up treatments. I am really gonna miss him!

At the age of 21, I started seeing Dr. Nguyen. Next month he will be retiring (3-2023) and I really hate to see him go. He is a great doctor in my opinion. He cares for his patients and his staff. I have seen this firsthand and I know that he made a difference in my life as he has been Neurologist for over 20 years.

Wonderful doctor! Very kind & knowledgeable. When I first saw him I was miserable with right side cluster migraines, grinding my teeth, neck & back pain, and scared. I couldn't function for the pain the headaches gave me. Dr. Nguyen listened to me, and with his treatment gave me my life back. I now only have to go in for treatment about 3 times a year. I'm very thankful for him and his knowledge. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends.

26 yrs ago I was sent to Dr Nguyen after 2 yrs of undergoing test to figure out what was wrong with me. Dr Nguyen seen me ONE time and asked a lot of questions and did a few test and told me what was wrong with me. I have never wanted a long time in waiting room, Dr Nguyen and his staff have always been kind and courteous and seemed to have gone that extra mile to help you in whatever manner you needed, They seemed to understand and have great empathy for you. I know there were times I was in the running for being the worst patient. Dr Nguyen always made the time to see me at anytime I had a flare up. He and his staff would always help you find assistance in paying for the costly medications & treatments. I would often refer to Dr Nguyen and his staff as my Life Line. One of the things I really appreciated was Dr Nguyen always asked me how I was feeling; not tell me how I was feeling because the textbooks & yrs of medical school said so. I felt as if I was really getting personal care versus being herded through like stock in the stock yard.

Dr. Nguyen takes the time to listen to what you are saying about how you are feeling. He takes time to make sure you understand what you need to know, makes sure you get the care you need. He has been my Dr. for 16yrs. From day 1 of my diagnosis (MS). I have received the very best care, while being his patient. He is the best!

I was very hesitant to see this neurologist due to the reviews I read here, but Dr. Nguyen was amazing! He did not rush through my appointment at all and he was a very good listener! And definitely not rude! I would recommend Dr. Nguyen!!

Dr Nguyen was very professional and thorough.

They are rude , rude , I would not waste my time I have not been up here in awhile I had to call today for some records well I remembered why I quit going up there dont waste your time.

Very RUDE!! I never even made it to my first appointment before I canceled because the front staff are VERY RUDE!! I was told they would send me for an MRI today and when I called back they told me they never said that!! I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!!

I read some reviews that were VERY negative. This made me hesitant to make an appointment. I finally did, and was TOTALLY PLEASED. He was very professional & very pleasant. He listened carefully to my concerns & issues. Will definitely go back & will recommend him to my family and friends.

Him and his staff are a piece of Work I wouldn’t refer him to a dog

If there was an option to give 0 stars I would. To sum it up, they were all rude & could have cared less about helping me.

Very knowledgeable, great at explaining condition and I know I’m in good hands. Also, great staff.

15 seconds on the phone and I can see what others have posted. Condescending. Dismissive. Suggest go elsewhere. I told the woman she was rude and she suggested I can take my business elsewhere they have plenty of customers lol.

Dr Nguyen came and saw my wife in the ER, came in and started giving us results of another patient when he had done no tests at all to my wife. Anyway, he did the hand eye finger test and said there’s nothing neurological going on. Got a second opinion and my wife has multiple Sclerosis. A Severe neurological disease. He’s an idiot.

Giving one star, because no star isn’t an option. Let me make this efficient - - My dad, a cancer patient, was admitted to WKS unable to say his name, move an arm, screaming in pain and a high fever. That morning he was running errands and visiting friends. - When Dr. Nguyen was brought in to assess patient he (get ready for this) didn’t lay a hand on the patient, nor do an exam. Said he “could order a spinal tap but get to it the following day”. -To summarize the above, WKS admitted a patient presenting intense neurological impairment and the FIRST visit from Dr. Nguyen resulted in no neurological assement. I sat there thinking “is this real life”? I mean, after all... he’s the Neurologist. -My husband, a MD as well, was in the room and was left utterly speechless by his approach at patient care. By patient care, I mean... absence of. -Understandably, watching my dad close to death and my husband (again, a MD who has worked in hospitals in NYC and Dallas) see this man’s insane approach to healthcare, we got extremely upset. Well, that sent Dr. (ugh, don’t even want to call him that) N. into defense mode. He stepped up to me in the hall, got in my face and became somewhat aggressive. Thankfully, he’s a wee little man about my size and I stepped right back up to him and reminded him of the oath he took and ethics around patient care. -The following day he made wise cracks (as my dad lay in ICU) about how we could move the patient to anothe hospital. -Lastly, I think the countless other terrible reviews on this Physician back up my experience. -Dude needs to change careers. Dr Nguyen is very kind. I've been to him for both carpal tunnel numbness and migraines. He has always had great answers and has helped me feel better.

Do not use him!! His is arrogant and does not listen to the patient at all! He assumed I wasn’t married and my problem was stress so told me that I needed to send my kids away more and spend less time with them. And didn’t really want to do anything to treat me once he decided that. Thankfully I pushed him to do tests and refer me out. He told me there was absolutely no way I had what diagnosis I thought I had. And when I told him the spinal tap I got done relieved the pressure in my head he told me that there was absolutely no way it did. Well he was wrong! Thankfully I didn’t listen to him and seen another specialist and DID have the diagnosis I thought I had. And if I would have listened to him I would have went blind!!! And never would have got my vision back. I had already started to have damage done to one eye. He told me all my numbers were perfect and the specialist I followed up with said that was not the case at all. I had a great visit with Dr. Nguyen this week. I was referred to him to talk about frequent migraines. I have suffered for a while but have never had a doctor try to figure out how to help them. It was always a "go lay down in a dark room until it is better" approach and that wasn't helping me, since I miss work and family time. His staff was very personable and chipper. He was very informative and he LISTENED to my concerns and answered my questions with knowledge and patience. Would recommend!

About to go to my second appointment with this dr in the morning , and after only one appointment , He is 100 % better than my 2 previous Neurologist .. and his staff is 100% better as well ..

Ummm let's see, I was able to get in extremely quickly with this doctor. I was surprised. Office staff was not that remarkable. Dr came in and argued with me about my condition which I am very familiar with. Wanted to know what I wanted from him. Went over meds & he gave me a script & said if I didn't take this 1 he could do nothing for me & I needed surgery & didn't need to hear more about issue as we were done. Told me to come back in 3 months. Med made feel like a zombie. didnt go back.

Staff are courteous and warm. I did not have to wait long. I found Dr. Nguyen to be kind, thorough, patient, informative and very intelligent. I had my husband with me and we both feel as if I received excellent care.

He has no bedside manner....I have gotten more information about my husband's condition from our primary care doctor. We will not be going back to this man. No problem in getting appointments as no one likes going to see this doctor. I have found no one that likes him. Now I know why. Trying to find another neuro now

This is by far the worst doctor i have ever experienced. He wont let you explain yourself andnd tells you he is right about everything.. He doesnt care about you or anything but him. If you want to die then go see him.

HORRIBLE bedside manner; would not recommend to anyone, ever.

I will not go back and suggest you do not either. He was awful, he kept asking me what I think he should do. I am not a neurologist or I wouldn't be there. He was very dismissive and wrote me a prescription for Botox to be filled and brought back? He didn't listen or care a about a history. This appointment was a waist of my time and his. Not surprising he was so was so easy to get into.
