Dr. Beverly Ann Johnson

This women has no right working with patients with the attitude she has and the lack of knowledge what a wart looks like versus good skin. She froze the good skin on my child’s hand causing my child to cry during the appointment and not once stopping cause it was hurting her. Not once did she hit the wart. As a Dr. I would assume she knew the difference between good skin and a wart and even more when a child patient is crying to stop and see what can be done. I will never allow this womanhood treat my toad must less my child again. I think she needs to rethink what she does and how she does it.

Egotistical. You need to walk on eggshells when talking to her or she might get offended and walk out. Asked me if I was a dermatologist when I asked her questions about information I read.

I would highly recommend against coming here. The doctor (Beverly Johnson) did not listen to me and created a harmful narrative gaslighting me against believing in myself and my own experiences, let alone offering any help. She also treated me like an idiot and tried to blame me for my issues instead of listening to my plight. I left the office in tears and will forever have trust issues when it comes to seeing dermatologists due to this visit.

Dr. Johnson was kind, humorous, and focused. Her staff were delightful. She gave me samples to try to help with my situation. She's wonderful and caring!

I was shocked at the rudeness of this so called professional. She's insulting to the patient, condescending, shows no empathy. Just think, she is helping teach/ train future medical professionals. Think of the example she sets; she was insulting to a patient in the presence of her nurse!

I have never left a review before on a medical visit, so this speaks volumes on how disappointing this doctor visit was to me. My concerns (regarding my daughter) were quickly dismissed. I offered to show a picture I had taken when her skin was showing signs of an infection, and the doctor made a comment to the nurse “Oh, they all bring pictures now don’t they.” Despite having dealt with these concerning skin issues for several months at this point, multiple over the counter treatments and antibiotics, and with a dermatology referral by our pediatrician, Dr. Johnson said that my daughter simply had bug bites on her cheeks. She gave us an over the counter ointment to use, despite me informing her we had already (unsuccessfully) tried this. In addition, an employee quietly pulled me aside after the appointment and suggested I find a different dermatologist to help us. That speaks volumes about this doctor and her office climate.

She’s rude!

She’s unprofessional and the walls in her office are paper thin. I? could hear her whole visit with another patient while waiting for her. She grew impatient with me while discussing an issue that she never addressed when this issue was the reason I came to her. She doesn’t really listen to her patients. I’m sorry I ever came to her. Definitely not returning.

New in town, I chose Dr. Johnson for an annual skin checkup. When I arrived, I was placed in a room with a chair, not a table. Therefore, she didn't really check all of me, just the parts she could access from a chair, and I had to remind her she hadn't checked my back. She was condescending, and even when I told her I used to get a lot of sun, but was trying to be more careful, she kept making a point over and over about my "real skin color."

Dr. Johnson was very professional and took her time listening to issue with my skin that is new to me. Gave recommendations on what and what not to do, and even emailed a description with pictures of my skin condition. She was very pleasant to talk too and I will be returning for a follow up. I did purchase several of her products, no hard sell and I was looking for something to help which it has. Her products are not very expensive, about the same as an good drug store item and they work.

I made a mistake going to this doctor. She was condescending, insulting, and most importantly she was not helpful. She didn't even want to look at what I came there for. She offered me a solution and the solution was to use her branded products. Very unprofessional and it was a very poor experience.

Horrible experience... Silver Spring office... Physician was condescending and arrogant. Much more concerned with getting me out than understanding the reason why I was there. Seemed as if she was not listening at all. I would not recommend her at all.

She went above and beyond the typical Doctor role to make sure I got what I needed to clear my skin up- for that I will be forever grateful
