I don’t have enough superlatives to show my immense admiration and appreciation for Dr. Beverly Long. At 81, my first ever surgery - and for cancer at that - she took excellent care of me in every way. Confident, knowledgeable, skilled, warmly straightforward, respectful, reassuring, WISE, patient and PRESENT, graciously guiding and supporting my body’s healing process. I’m beyond grateful that Dr. Swor referred her to me. She is a GIFT to Sarasota’s women! Thank you Dr. Long AND your marvelous staff as well.

Dr. Long is an unbelievable doctor! On top of being a very talented oncologist surgeon she is incredibly kind and compassionate! She never appeared rushed and spent a great deal of time with my husband and I answering our questions. She has an amazing calming sense about her that just makes you feel like everything is going to be ok. Additionally, Dr. Long is well respected by all the nurses at Sarasota Memorial who kept telling me how lucky I was to be under her care. She not only visited me in the hospital but called me at home during my recovery. The office is extremely efficient. I was referred to her by my doctor in Bradenton and received a phone call the next day. Every single person we interacted with was so kind and compassionate. Dr Long has been a strength to me through 3 cancer related surgeries now. She is calm patient and incredibly kind as well as an outstanding doctor that goes above and beyond the call of duty. During my last hospital stay, even the nurses commented what an incredible physician she is and how they loved working with her. Highly recommend. I feel extremely fortunate to have found her. Dr Long has been a strength to me through 3 cancer related surgeries now. She is calm, patient and incredibly kind as well as an outstanding doctor that goes above and beyond the call of duty. During my last hospital stay, even the nurses commented what an incredible physician she is and how they loved working with her. Highly recommend. I feel extremely fortunate to have found her.

Dr. Long took amazing care of my mother. We were very nervous coming to her as a large pelvic mass had been discovered and we were preparing for bad news. She talked to us about the procedure and addressed any of our concerns. On the day of surgery, she came down and told me in person the wonderful news that the mass was benign. Great bedside manner. While my mom was hospitalized, Dr. Long came to see her twice a day which really impressed me too. She is an impeccable surgeon and an even greater person. You get the best of both worlds with her. Dr Long is new to Sarasota but I am so glad I found her as there are not many GYN/Onc MD's in this area. Got an appointment within a week after referral. She sat down and explained everything to my daughter and myself and surgery was scheduled for the next week. After surgery in hospital she came to check on me twice a day she was always available to answer any questions. . Everyone in the office were very friendly and attentive. What can I say? Words cannot begin to describe the care ,compassion, expertise that I received from Dr Long. She went above and beyond, explaining everything to me about my cancer treatment, my surgery, and helped me handle things in a calm way. She is a genuine and kind human being. She never made me or my husband feel rushed with our countless questions . If any other woman I know it’s unfortunate to be diagnosed with cancer like I was, I could not recommend anybody else. Dr. Long cared for my wife along side of Dr. Mariani at Mayo. She provided excellent care from the initial consultation through post surgery follow-up. Young in age, but appears to have the experience and knowledge of the most tenured and educated doctors. Never felt like we were rushed with her and we always had complete confidence in her regardless of the information/prognosis that was being shared with us. Consider yourself very fortunate if you are able to have Dr. Long care for you!
