Doctor Matthews is a very caring doctor. He is hands on, doesn't brush you off with pills, as many do. I feel he has been excellent with our family.

Dr. Mathews is one of a kind, he goes out of his way to make you feel like family, I wouldnt be here today without this man and he has blessed family members of mine in the same way. You can trust this man with your life and well-being and be sure that he will provide you the best care available. He is one of the best cardiologist in the country, not to mention Florida. I have been seeing Dr Matthews for a couple of years while he monitors a problem that I have. After reading the negative reviews about his disrespectful behavior and failure to explain a condition, I must post my disagreement. I love him, respect him, and am thankful for his directness. He is personable and wants to know about your health in your words. He cares. He listens. He will tell you as much as you need or want to know. He is serious. He is skilled. For me, these qualities are most important. To top it all, his office staff are courteous and efficient.

Was not impressed. He was reluctant to tell me exact test findings, ordered tests that a prior cardiologist had already done (which were normal). I felt defensive and guarded. A friend recommended I check the propublica links on him. He took over $34,000 in payment from drug/device companies in 2016. I prefer a doctor not beholding to industry. Also, he bills far more than most providers, which suggests ordering more tests. He billed Medicare $643,000 in 2015, latest year with records. Only 15% of cardiologists bill that extensively. I switched to Illena Antonetti in Orlando. Well worth the drive. She spent more time with me, answered all my questions, and didn't feel the need to order any tests at this time since I'd had a full work up a few years ago. She also earns little money from drug/device companies and most cardiologists (80%) billed Medicare more than she does, so she's not routinely padding the bills. Was not impressed. Dr. Mathews has been my cardiologist for 8 years. He’s done several Cath on me with success. One he was uneasy doing so he sent me to a doctor in Orlando. Hell of a doctor that admits when he’s not comfortable with a procedure. He is kind, caring and very knowledgeable. I’ve put my life in his hands many times and I’m here to talk about it. His staff from answering phone calls to doing ekgs are totally knowledgeable and kind. Highly recommend him to anyone.

I was recommended to this doctor by someone who works with him at the hospital. Although he is extremely busy, he took the time to talk with me and listen to my concerns. After my tests he explained everything thoroughly to me and prescribed the right treatment. Very rare to quality to find this in a doctor today.

Lots of experience with this practice. Both my parents had heart disease and had the best care with Dr Mody. And Dr Mathews When I had to see a cardiologist I went to the same office staff/doctors I was familiar with. Office staff set my appointment with Dr Mathews. I have faith in both doctors to take great care of me as they did my parents.

A1 Doctor! Been to several cardiologists. Finally found the right one! NEVER leaving!

This physician was belligerent and borderline abusive at my visit. He did not read the chart before entering the room and refuted findings of previous tests and physician reports with no examination or suggestion of repeating procedures. I cannot recommend this man.

Dr Mathews is a very caring doctor.I would recommend him to my friends and family.I feel very safe in his care.He rescheduled a procedure 2 hours early and did it his self due to changes in my condition. He is just wonderful.

Doctor obviously did not read file or remember what he was told about me. He did not explain himself, or the tests he ordered. The tests he ordered, (cardiac monitor) the office forgot to order it and I had to call twice and go into the office once to get it ordered and when I received the monitor,it did not work in my area due to lack of cellular coverage as stated by the monitoring company. Thought the doctor should have known this before he ordered a $1500 device. Office mgr never called.

Dr. Mathews takes time and patience to explain procedures and diagnostics. He genuinely care as for each patient. Very knowledgeable and a skilled surgeon. Great bedside disposition exudes confidence and compassion. Staff is efficient and very friendly.

The experience was not god. However, a call from the Doctor to apologize raised my view of the practice.

so far the clinic has been very good . doctor and staff professional.my cridentials I have been heart patient since 1980 wva to Cleve clinic to Pittsburgh PA I trust in Dr. Matthew and staff
