Dr. Binu S Nair

I would not recommend this doctor or his nurse Janette. The doctor in my opinion is mentally abusive and then blames the patient for not being able to accept his opinion. The clinic and staff at WAX Baylor were awesome, this doctor and his nurse are the worse people. I couldn't wait to get away from him. I feel sorry for anybody that has the misfortune of finding themselves under his care. I don't trust those other reviews, but hey..when you go to a doctor you want him to give you some possibility of hope and life, all he did was told me how fast I would die and if I couldn't accept what he said he would refer me to mental health and if I sought a second opinion he would stop my treatment and I could let Tonto know where to send my information he would not support a second opinion. Why not welcome it if you're that sure of your diagnosis. I wasn't going to rate him, but I don't want anyone ever to experience what I did, don't just walk away...run, don't be afraid to seek other medical opinions, because he has some problems, and please don't use him if you're a person of color and can't advocate for yourself. Don't allow your fear of what he says stop you. Walk away from him and live. I gave him 2 stars because I guess he went to school.

My first Visit was the bad.

Explains everything feels very comfortable with his office

There was zero compassion. He even said “I don't know why youre here.” My PCP and vascular surgeon referred me to help with a chronic DVT. Not only did he not listen to my concerns, he advised that I stop anticoagulant treatment during my monthly periods that the drug had caused to return. I had been in menipause for 8 years prior. He offered zero help when I explained he was my last hope to dissolve the clot so I could get a hysterectomy. A quality doctor would have tried to find another doctor or surgeon that could offer help or hope. He dismissed my pain as cramps and called me suicidal when I was begging him for help. He may be good at oncology, but as far as a caring human, he's far from it. Luckily, two days later, my gynecologist was able to work with my pcp and refer to a colleague from another hospital. This nightmare will soon be over. He is absolutely not able to treat you with compassion or dignity.

Very thorough and takes all the time you need to answer any questions you have. Had blood drawn immediately and scheduled Per Scan and Bone Marrow test. Great doctor!

Dr. Nair is awesome! He took his time to explain things to me and answer all my questions. Besides that, his nurses are the best! TiLinda is as sweet as they come and very caring and fun.

He has serious compassion and is involved in his patients lives, wanting to make sure they’re okay and comfortable.

I am sure he is using recommended guidelines, but when I asked to discuss my cancer specifically, taking into account my personal test results, he was totally unprepared. He eventually told me to agree to his blanket 10-year treatment plan or go all natural with someone else. So there is no possibility for personalized treatment.

I am so thankful to know Dr Nair I was at another cancer center where I was not being treated correctly for 3 years. Dr Nair has given me answers and what I ?? with the new medicine that I am on the right track, new hope. The staff is so caring from receptionist and lab to all in the back. Thank you seems so small to say but I am so grateful. Blessings Diana

Dr. Nair is amazing! He took his time with us & we felt he was very genuine. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a hemotologist!

My first visit with Dr. Nair was amazing I had a cat scan ordered within 15 minutes into my exam. Fast and courteous. Considering my reason for being there I loved it. So much better than driving into Dallas.

I'm very happy that others experience with Dr Nair has been better than our families. My father is 68. A disabled vet whose body is covered with shrapnel and who has also broke his back and tailbone when hit with 2 mortar rounds and subsequently reinjured. Recently he was diagnosed with STAGE 4 cancer. A mass was found on his lungs that was malignant as well as his kidney and a lymphnode near his liver.He was then treated with chemo.He must be smart but we've seen very little evidence of it.

Dr.Nair worked around the holiday schedule to see my daughter (21 y/o). We never felt rushed and he spent quality time and care with us. We were in complete understanding in the treatment plan when we left his office.
