Dr. Southerland is AMAZING! The appointment was not rushed. I got to take my time understanding everything about my health and hear explanations for what is helpful for my lifestyle. This is how visits with doctors should be!

I am a fairly new patient of Dr. Southerland. Since my initial visit I’ve been impressed how she acknowledges my concerns with empathy, compassion, patience and with genuine concern. She is a great listener and she knows how to effectively communicate. She has awesome bedside manners which makes it easier to share my concerns and it makes me more likely to follow her advice and treatment plan. I don’t feel rushed to communicate my concerns during my visits. All of my testing has been followed up in a very timely manner. As well as setting time aside to discuss. She always encourages me to ask questions about what I don’t understand and she definitely make sure that I do understand. We recently had a very difficult conversation about some very serious test results. She explained the results in detail with compassion and empathy, she followed up with information about the results, but most importantly she asked about where my head was after the devastating news that I received. That really meant the world to me that she cared how about where I was mentally. She is on time for my appointments. She is easy to contact. She is very professional and relatable. She NEVER misses a teachable moment and she always sends information on how to remain healthy and mentally healthy as possible. I feel very fortunate to have found her. She is great!! Natalia has literally been the best doctor I’ve ever met in my life. She’s very humble and truly wants to get to know you as a human, not just a transaction. There isn’t anyone better that I would recommend other than her because that’s how great she is. Her communication is on par! I don’t ever have to worry about calling in asking when this or that will be done as she always reaches out to let you know. 10/10 I highly recommend Natalia. My visit at Brand New Med was excellent. I really enjoyed my visit with Dr. Southerland. I went for my yearly physical and she was very detailed with getting all my medical history, as well as my family medical history. She made my visit feel personable I didn’t feel rushed or like I was a number. She followed up with my labs results within a timely manner. She looks at your health from a variety of angles. She loves teaching you how to change your life style to meet your health goals. She’s very sincere in her concern for the well being of her patients. Dr. Southerland is a breath of fresh air in the hectic, medical field. She takes a personal approach & gets to know the needs of her patients. Dr Southerland takes time to educate & empower patients to be involved in their care. It’s so nice to not feel rushed & be able to get in to see her so quickly. I absolutely love Dr. Southerland! She is an extremely kind doctor & treats her patients with the utmost respect & care. She is easily accessible in terms of medical advice, appointment reminders, general information, etc. She truly takes the time in order to know her patients, what they need, & what will work best for them. Dr. Southerland is exactly what health care needs. She makes it about truly caring about individual clients and the betterment of their healthy lifestyle.

Old fashioned medicine meets modern world! Dr. Southerland is very thorough and looks for the root of the problem instead applying bandaids. She uses traditional medicine in conjunction with mind/body wellness and looks at all aspects of her patient's lives, so she can make healthy lifestyle recommendations. The office is warm and calming which is great for those who are anxious about doctor's visits. You won't find a practice with double booked 15 minute back to back appointments here. I never feel rushed and I feel like a valued person, not a number or a paycheck. I love having Dr. Southerland for my PCP. I feel heard. I know that Dr Southerland will take the time to hear my concerns without dismissing them. Even if she disagrees with my assessment of my health, she validates my perceptions and helps me to move forward to find the next best steps. She assesses my mental health at each visit and helps me to find ways to have better everyday health. I also appreciate that I don’t have to pay extra to have multiple visits. Especially with a lifelong condition that requires frequent checkups. I love having Dr. Southerland for my PCP. I feel heard. I decided since I turned 40 this year to get a doctor of my own. I am a family doctor myself and I have high standards. Dr. Southerland exceeded all expectations and I was pleasantly surprised at her thoroughness, her pleasant bedside manner, and interest in me as a patient. I would recommend her to friends and family any day.

Dr. Southerland was wonderful. She took her time, and even addressed things I didn't initially go in for. She left no leaf unturned. I never felt rushed, I didn't wait in the waiting room forever like other offices, in fact, when I walked in, she came out and got me herself immediately. I have already referred other friends who were unhappy with their current physicians and I will be bringing my daughter in later this month.

Takes time to answer questions and explain procedures and test results. Listens to what I have to say. Exam was tailored to me and my needs. Never felt rushed. Friendly and a very nice person. This is the way medicine should be practiced.
